Welcome to Marvel Heroes! Our newest site wide plot encompasses a bit of Marvel's Civil War story line, however we are not just copying it! In fact, very little of what will happen here will be similar to the comics themselves. It's no fun just to regurgitate what someone else did. We want creativity and adventure, "what if" twists and lots of conflict! We invite you to join in the adventure, choose a side or try to stay neutral of the Mandatory Registration Act.

A new dawn is upon us, and with it new challenges for all our heroes and villains alike. Another darkness lay waiting to take advantage of the heroes disarray and the mutants distrust. This darkness has no face, but looms over America like a storm that will bring an end to the world as we know it. Nothing will ever be the same once this storm passes, and it is unknown when or if it ever will. Are the heroes ready? Is America ready? Are you? Stay tuned as soon the "shot heard 'round the world" begins to change the face of those we knew as heroes and villains forever.

Marvel Heroes RPG has been up and running for over two years. In that time, we have seen an evolution with the way we do things, going from no major plots to incorporating site wide plots and integrating them with one another's smaller plots. This is can be seen in Marvel comics also, like Civil War or Secret Invasion. As we continue to strive to be better, we are always looking for fresh ideas, good writers and dedicated members. The year is 1997.
It is hard to believe it has been so long.

As the last bastion of freedom, the Isle of Wutai, fell into ShinRa hands in 1995, a fragile peace laid its silk pelt over the lands. People dared hoping these years of tremors and skirmishes following the fall of the Old Empire would finally settle down and allow them to lead calm lives filled with all that ShinRa had once sworn to bestow upon them. This year is the blessed year of 1997.

Or… is it?

Trouble still brews underneath the smooth surface. Wutai men and women still unhappy with the outcome of the last battle swarm around a new leader, Kefka: a malicious, strange man of a scrupulous past that will not hesitate to sacrifice anything for his sake. And the troublemakers in AVALANCHE – worldwide eco-terrorist group – are plotting their new actions in secret hideouts hidden from watchful eyes.

1997 marks the 50th year anniversary for ShinRa Incorporated. And on that fateful day on July 4th worldwide shock struck the hearts of millions. President ShinRa was struck done by Wutai during a parade ceremony that was a gift from Kefka himself. Using his own tool, Tira, as well as the Tsviets that escaped from Deepground during the Reactor 0 explosion on May 31st, Kefka drove a wedge into the peace. Fear, distrust, and hostility are once again in the winds, and as the new president Rufus Shinra takes leadership over the company the world remains still waiting for the inevitable news to be broadcasted.

War is about to start.
