Introducing Dracula.... Helena.... and Shevaun.
Dracula sat there looking at the two he had collected. They were in a safe house, one which he intended to get rid of at the end of the night. They were at one end of a small dinning table he was at the other.
When Helena had gotten jumped in Down Town NY by a straight up demon this was not the pace she'd expected to wind up. Let alone with a vampire let alone with Count Freakin Dracula. Her mom had taught her a little about vamps, but she'd never thought she'd meet one. She knew when to sit down, keep her mouth shut and wait. She got the feeling being useful is what was going to keep her alive.
Shevaun was here for one reason and that was to get her payment for the lady, she looked over at Helena curiously before turning back So what’s your name, you look... uh different she was curious how much Dracula was paying her as well but would just keep quiet about that.
Finally he spoke. "You look almost a splitting image of your ancestor Amara Castilla only a lot paler." He paused before continuing. "As you have shown yourselves to be useful I am going to propose a deal. Bring me Shiklah and I will offer you a great wealth. I will give you what ever provisions you require plus someone to carry and do as you ask. They are loyal to me so will inform on how you do."
Helena glanced back at Shevaunh in turn, curious, but more concerned with their host. At the mention of her ancestor her eyes widened. At least it was nice to have a reason to be here other than the thread of her impending demise. "Shiklah... As in the thing that's been plastered all over the internet since yesterday?" because of course one of the apparent greatest mystical; secrets of the century would break on 4chan.
Shevaun was happy with the offer Right wealth, I’m working for a bad guy I need some gold lots of it. I don’t usually do work like this but meh why not.. You mentioned a servant right uhh I’ll think about that. So where is she located? Shevaun asked Dracula
"Deep beneath the sands of the Arabian Peninsula, the co-ordinates as far as we are aware are in this folder." He slid over the paperwork. "Yes, I mean the person who is all over the internet."
Helena looked between the pair like she wasn't sure she should be sitting at this table. But, well... Not a lot to be done about it. "Well, I've always wanted to go to Dubai." She muttered, turning over the folder. "Look, Your Excellency, she's clearly a badass but... why am I here exactly?"
Dracula looked at Helena, "If you do this successfully Helena, then I might consider training you. If you are unsuccessful then I may still consider training you but at a cost. I know your family." He left the rest unsaid.
The sorceress considered the vampire for a moment. Her mother had warned her that others would try and use her for her mystical acumen, her powers were limited but their specific source and output were rare. However, the prospect of not needing to look over her shoulder every day... that was tempting. Slowly, she nodded. "Alright." She said before looking over at Shevaun, "This sort of thing isn't exactly my forte, but I'm guessing it's yours."
“Mines sort of... it’s more like my automatic job” she said looking at Helena “I guess we will be doing a lot of learning about eachother on this jolly trip" Shevaun was use to working along or with one of the X-men or Dr.Strange Someone in her range of service, here she just wanted to see what it was like to be semi-bad for a day what’s the worst that could happen.
He knew it was a risk but it would work. "There are provisions in the other room, flight tickets are being prepared and there is spending money if you need it. To warn you, from my research she is ... every bit interesting. Expect traps."
Flying wasn’t really Shevaun thing especially when you can fly faster then anything this planet could produce but also because she could teleport, but for the sake of her counterpart who didn’t seem to carry the same powers she would fly. “You know I heard first class on the Emirates Airlines was luxurious, with our luck we will be going first class both ways” she chuckled as she heard that tickets and such where being prepared. This definitely was going to be one hell of a adventure and Shevaun was sure to do as much as possible in Dubai while looking for the lady, "Right She swings I swing back” she said under her breath “how exactly are we suppose to handle her Dracula?”
Dracula raised an eyebrow at the questions. "You have a one way ticket at the moment. I don't wish to put a time limit on your task. Just contact me or my associates when you have her and if you convince Shiklah to fly then there will be three return tickets waiting for you." He paused and steeped his fingers. "As for handling her, I suggest diplomacy. Plus..." He stood up and moved to a book shelf and retrieved a red leather bound book that looked fairly new. On returning he pushed it towards the pair. "This contains everything I know about her. If the book was in another language it has the original on the left, English translation on the right. At the back there are some... interesting spells you might need." He sat back down as graceful as ever. "If she chooses to travel by other means then we will arrange it. If you need more of anything then again contact me. I may not answer due to time of day but my helpers will be on call. If, however, you are in the middle of the tomb you are on your own... apart from your help."
Helena's brows knit together. She'd heard an implication of binding spells being used to subdue this Shiklah... who she assumed counted as a person? That wasn't really a question she'd had to ask herself before. Regardless, coercive binding spells didn't sit particularly well with her. Then again, neither did pissing off the vampire. "Any... prior relationship factors worth knowing about? IE, if we tell her we work for you is she gonna be happy or come up swinging?"
Shevaun chuckled “No it only enhances my extra sensory abilities, like the fact that I have Mediumship which is The ability to communicate with spiritual world and talk to the deceased. I can also tell that your Nervous here that’s Clairsentience you know” she said semi-sarcastic while also joking. She had a lot of abilities, the whole extras sensory abilities where probably her lease used power. She could also smell the foulness coming out of Dracula mouth as he talked, sometimes having good senses don’t play off good. “So Dracula what if I talk to her before hand go in the spirit world and find her”
Dracula was looking board. "Read the book, it's an ancient tomb! And up to you." Just then a person came in holding a print out. He leaned to speak with Dracula who nodded. "Your tickets are here AND I have to go." He slid across the paperwork. It was NOT first class but business. "Any more annoying questions?" The tone in his voice said no unless you want to anger him.
Helena picked up the book, took her cue and kept her mouth shut.
Shevaun would get up grinning, “Fair enough” she said before preparing to leave.
Dracula nodded. "Good." He stood up and left through a different door.
