ORLANDO, FL - Disney World became a war zone this week when it was discovered by a joint task force that the symbiotes were using the favored vacation destination as a place to hide and reproduce. The organizations of SHIELD and the extra-terrestrial watch dog, SWORD, discovered this by months of investigative work, but had a big break just days before they moved on the site.
"We intercepted a phone call that pointed us toward Disney World," answered one source inside the organizations. The employee asked to remain anonymous for his safety. "Once we started looking at it closer we saw the infection was much worse than we thought. We had to use extreme measures to ensure we got them all."
"It was total chaos!" exclaimed one park visitor who was ushered out of the park by men with weapons. "These guys just came in and started yelling for everyone to get out. Then some kind of bomb went off and they didn't need to tell us again. Most of us just scattered!"
"My daughter was trampled by people trying to get away," said Marcy Davis of Reno who had brought her children tot he park for an early winter getaway. "I had to throw myself down over her to keep here safe." Ms. Davis showed me her arm which was in a cast. "I got lucky I wasn't killed."
Witnesses report that symbiotes came out to attack the joint forces, specifically from the Cinderella Castle. "I saw hundreds of them," Jason Mewes told the Daily Bugle. "Maybe thousands, but the people who came after them were dressed to the nines in war gear. They had weapons I'd never seen before. While I was watching, some of the symbiotes just melted when one of the guys pulled his trigger. It was scary..."
Neither SHIELD nor SWORD were available to answer questions after the incident, but Director Hill told the press via teleconference later, "We're confident we got them all. While we regret the damage done to the park, it was inevitable. The symbiotes weren't going to just give up, but if we let them they would have kept taking hosts from the park visitors and continuing to grow in number... I feel confident we have stopped this invasion."
