Losing someone you love can cause a great many things; trauma, pain and suffering, a sense of having lost a part of yourself, creating the feeling that you aren't whole anymore. When a person loses just one person, let alone an entire family, it can change them irrevocably for life. For a certain scientist living in Boston, Massachusetts, it was his worst possible fear, and it came true when he was informed his wife and daughter were taken from the world in an accident at sea. Consumed by his grief, he slipped into near madness, and began to scour the world for any way to bring them back, discovering that, despite their incredible power, he could not bring back his family by either scientific nor magical means...
...but what if he could combine both?
Spurred on by his revelation, the scientist began an experiment that would, unbeknownst to him, begin a cascade of events that may well change the very face of the world.
'Make us whole' is a storyline I have recently whipped up that shall span many months, possibly even years in universe, all depending on the course of events. As of now, all I have as a solid concept is the beginnings, a scientist named Victor Dawkins loses his family in an accident and descends to madness. His neverending pursuit to resurrect them leads to him eventually beginning a years long experiment in Techno Magic which creates The Prism, named because it takes energy and separates it in certain ways depending on how it's programmed. For example, if you channeled our dimensional energy (if it's even called that) into the prism and programmed it to seek out similar energy signatures, it would create several portals to alternate universes that are closest to our own, or if you want to use a living subject, if you were to place someone into the prism and fed it his or her life force, the Prism would create complete clones, or clones with certain aspects exemplified if you channeled their soul into it.
His goal is to use the Prism on himself to find his Family's souls, with whom he has obvious connections to, and resurrect them in some form, and of course his goal to create the Prism leads him to many backers, the latest of which being HYDRA and/or AIM respectively, our heroes decide to raid the facility he is in as it nears completion, and in his attempts to finally acivate it, our heroes are blasted into various points throughout the multiverse, parallel universes, alternate dimensions etc.
This is essentially the beginning of it all, any questions? Comments? Suggestions?[/i]
