So here she was sat outside another office waiting yet again to be yelled at. Her time away with Natasha had curbed her anger slightly but there was still annoyance of feeling trapped here on the base and that she hated. Since coming back and being put straight into a weird mission Ava had had little time to get into trouble or annoying others. When she had got back from the mission she then was back into her learning. There were grades to achieve and records to be broken.
In no time at all she was back on the climbing wall, running around the base and working on target practise with various weapons. Then there were all the books and studying, that was both fascinating but also tiresome. It took her two days before she had to get off base and check on Sasha Cat, two days for her to test the base's security and find further 'improvements'. At least she was good for the base in making it further secure for the future. This time, however, she triggered something new out of curiosity more than anything else. She was down on the ground within seconds of the sound hitting her. It felt like she had been hit by a sledge hammer with the hammer still bashing about in her skull until a set of security came running round the corner and turned it off.
Ava still couldn't move, nor could she hear what they were saying but her eyes could read their lips. They were laughing at her for falling for the trap. She started to laugh too and played on the inability to move as they picked her up. Even though she couldn't move she didn't need to with the power inside her and all it took was just one little spark at the right moment for the pair to drop her. It was nothing major more like a static shock than anything. Call it her mischievous side, stubborn side, hate of losing side. She timed it perfectly as the pair moved her around a corner and when she knew the feeling was back. Her hearing was starting to come back but that didn't matter.
Allowing them to take her dead weight she moved around the corner. Tensed her muscles in her body, zap, kick, twist and into fighting pose. The two security looked at her with anger in their eyes. She read their words.
"Ava, we caught you. Stand down."
Ava relaxed at the rest of the security turned around the corner to see her standing on her own two feet. One of them swore which got a punch in the arm from another. Ava held up her hands in surrender. She wasn't going attack her own team just make sure they didn't underestimate her next time. If they underestimated her then they would underestimate others like her. She heard a noise like muffled talking and she looked around to see who it was that had been speaking but couldn't find them. Shaking her head didn't improve her temporary deafness either. When she spoke even her own words sounded wrong.
"I can't hear you. If someone is talking please get my attention first."
The security team were now looking a little more formal than before and they were currently looking behind Ava.
