Wade Wilson was probably the last person you would ever expect to see sitting at a coffee shop staring longingly into a box of freshly made Croissants. The smell of the sweet buttery pastry filled the air as Wade inhaled with great joy and took a bite. As he did a Unicorn only visible to him sat across from him.

“Don’t look at my like that Uni, of course I got one for you too.”

Wade slid one of the pastries across the table. The Unicorn was all but over joyed to sink their teeth into the pastry. A tiny bit of glitter proofed off the Unicorn onto the table.

“Hey now Uni I know you’re excited and all, but do ya mind watching were you glitter, that Sh!! Is like the herpes of the craft world, ain’t never coming out of the suit. I’ll be glittering like a disco ball for all of eternity.””

The invisible, but only visible to Wade unicorn laughed as it moved it hands and made a rainbow for Wade. As she spoke in a bubbly voice.

“Come on Wade you’ve said it yourself we can all use a little sparkle”

Wade shook his head as he finished his food . The cafe was stark constraint to anything Wade had previously set foot in. Customers came in and out with random sugary based baked goods from the brightly decorated bakery. The truth was Uni wanted to go here and Wade figured what the hell minus well let Uni have something.

Gwen had chased Deadpool from the private Discord DM back to MHR-616. After all this time she had a bone to pick with the merc with a mouth and she was going to give him a piece of her mind. Fortunately, she did not have to search long as the path (As well as some help from her player thank you very much_ led her right to the cafe that he was in. she swung open the door like an outlaw ready to call his rival out. In her case, that's exactly what she was doing and she was doing it in costume.

"You! My whole existence ...THIS thing, is because of you! I don't even like you. You're whole gimmack is essentially, lul breaking the 4th wall with outdated memes or pop culture references. How do you do fellow kids, aren't we editors at Marvel's hip with the young crowd?!? It's not like you were even the first. your Gimmick was ripped straight from Freakazoid, and She-Hulk was breaking the 4th wall long before it was cool!

people were looking at Gwen like she was nuts, but she didn't care. This confrontation between the two pools was LONG coming.

No sooner had Wade finished his snack with Uni the invisible Unicorn then a full in costumed female version of himself ran into
The cafe going on and on about look like sound and something about writers and fourth walls . Wade to be honest lost focus for a moment as she wasn’t the first one to do this and probably would be the last,

Wade sarcastically grabbed his chest like his heart hurt as his eye roll was practically audible as he spoke.

“Lemme guess you came after Deadpool corps? The truth is kid you’re not the first of your kind. Since we’re doing this whole knowledge of our existence thing. I mean Jean Grey’s writer has done it too. As for me if you really knew my history you’d be more asking who was the twisted person who wrote me. I heard I was to mock a DC super hero named Slade Wilson, but I digresses did you just come here to mock me and Uni? Or did you have an actual reason to be here, like enjoying a nice pastry I think I saw chocolate croissants or maybe my writer was thinking of them. Either way you should really relax and enjoy a treat.”

Wade said nothing more tempted to just leave this pun of himself out in the open, but for some reason he was interguied by them and chose to indulge this girl fora little longer.

I don't see Slade having three successful box office films...not in my universe anyway."

She sat down oppisite of him and decided to order some chocolate chips. No, Seriously they were chocolate-coated potato chips.

Wade listened to everything “Gwenpool” had to say and slapped his hand to his face ever so sarcastically.

“Congratulations you know my origin story, would you like a cookie?”

Just as he said that as if in due a plate was served with two chocolate chip cookies on it. Wade snickered slightly as he stood up and grabbed a cookie to go.

“Listen let’s make the best out of being who we are, I’m going to head to Coney Island. You want to come you know scare up some fun, drop some balls into holes that sorta thing.”

Wade turned to an invisible Unicorn at the table.

“Well come on I know I know you were talking about riding the Wonder wheel, but who am I to stop a good time.”

Just as Wade was about to walk away he tried over what looked like nothing.

“Freakin Kevin come on you can just stay in the middle of the room then get mad when I trip over you.”

Wade looked as Gwen exasperated,

“Who makes an invisible invisible friend?!”

Wade looked over his shoulder at Gwen.

“Don’t mind Kevin he he just doesn’t know where he is in space sometimes. Come on you know want to join me on this adventure!”

Gwenpool's player did not realize that Deadpool actually had his mask off, he had been writing this as if they BOTH had their masks on. So, he's going to recon this scenario as though Gwen has had her mask off too and NOBODY but the two of them are going to be the wiser.

Gwen felt her mask come off and she let out a sigh. Might as well go with it especially if reality was going to be rewritten that this was always the case.


When she got to see the merc behind the mask her eyes widened.


"Jeez Louise! So your player went with Ryan Renalds and you had your face restored? Wow um...heh...is it getting hot in here?" She quickly looked around grabbed a menu and tried to hide her face. At this point she was totally flustered. her face was redder...than a cherry tomato...

"Shut up...he can read what you're typing..." She mumbled. 

her palms and forehead began to sweat as her heart beated like a jackhammer. 

"Ok...I'm sure he gets it...you can stop now..." She mumbled this time a bit more forcefully to her player.

Oh and that wasn't to say anything about what was going on inside her head...

*SMACK!!!*

She smacked the table and got up. "You know what?!? yeah! sure! let's get out of here! come on let's go!"

It wasn't long before she was literally trying to push him out the door.

Wade heard what Gwen had said and decided to have some fun in the moment seeing as she clearly found him attractive. Not to say she wasn’t attractive she definitely was a good looking lady, but he wasn’t really looking for a relationship right now. As her hands pushed on him trying to get him to quickly leave the cafe. He just about fell on Kevin again. He stood tall for a moment and looked at his phone.

“Oh yeah my written definitely find comical, just the happy Wolverines player didn’t go with Hugh Jackman, now that man is a proper piece of ass, if you know what I mean.”

Wade shook his head and put his phone away as he returned his attention to the scene at hand.He turned over his shoulder one last time addressing someone “Yeah yeah I’m a comic book character, but I got several movies now in case you didn’t know”. He now tripped over Kevin he slammed his hands in the cage door catching his balance as he walked into the streets of Brooklyn.

“All right now before we go all attracting the attention of Spiderman, or the Avengers or something let’s go to good ole Coney Island. Only let’s do one of those montage things where we are scene riding public transportation in full custom then show up in regular clothes at Coney Island, almost like there was a changing room on the subway or something.

Next the scene cut to Wade and possibly Gwen having a very uneventful subway ride to Coney Island and them being greeted by the ferries wheel and the Coney Island freak show signs.

"Wait no you..."

The world proceeded to warp and change around her as the world warped and changed around her. Things would pause for a couple of secounds again and then it'd wwarp again tossing her too and fro at warp speed. In truth it made her feel sick to her stomach as they went through the montage. By the time it was over, they were in Coney Island in normal clothes. Once the world finally stopped warping around her she took a deep breath, trying to control the overwhelming sense of nausea. Once it finally settled she looked up to the sky and took a deep breath. She gave a look at Wade and gave him a stink eye.

"Montages like that don't work the same way with people like me. " she took one more deep breath and got her bearings. she then looked down at her clothes, A classic Paramore Riot Album T-Shirt, a pair of classic denim jeans a pair of adult light of sketchers...not bad not bad at all....cept for one thing. She decided to use her shapeshifting powers to give herself...a bit more...thickness. Rear, hips, thighs the whole thing. It made her jeans tighter than they probably should but she preferred it What could she say she liked being thick, the extra bounce was nice, and she had shapeshfting powers of course she was going to take advantage.

"Ahhh, there we go. Alright let's go."

She looked around and took in the sights of coney island. she could smell the carnival food and it almost made her drool.

"what'ya want to do first? Do you want food or do you want to go on some rides. I love the Cyclone but the Thunderbolt is cool too..."

Wade winged slightly as they went through the montage of getting to Coney Island. He didn’t quite understand what it meant to be from Gwen’s world, but he definelty understood now she did not work the way the way he did.

As they arrived to Coney Island the smells of amusement park food and the sounds of all the sensory overload taking place. Wade sighed inwardly sharply and exhaled. He ran his fingers through his dark brown hair and looked at Gwen. Wade had to admit she was a good looking lady, but he knew no one ever benefitted from being in any kind of relationship with him. He was about to apologize for the whole montage thing when suddenly she morphed and shifted her form. Wade blinked for a moment as he regained his composure. Wade was one for thrill rides, but knew his imaginary friend Uni was more about the Wonder wheel, something always magical about a ferris wheel that you sat inside of that plummeted to the middle and you thought maybe was breaking.

“Those are definitely cool rides and I would like to check them out, but I was thinking how would you feel about starting on the wonder wheel?”

Wade gestured over to the giant Ferris wheel as he walked towards, passing booths of carnival games. He turned towards what seemed like an invisible audience and spoke in a rather snarky fashion.

“ I mean the real wonder is how does one suddenly get an Ass—-erm asset like Gwen in your life.”

He quickly changed his words remembering Gwen had the same ability as he did to break the fourth wall. Wade pretending to nonchalantly walk towards the ride as he shrugged his shoulders.

Gwen gave a leer as he made a lewd comment. "First of all, Language. Second of all, I can see what your saying and thinking too you know! Seriously, you have the humor of an immature 5-year-old." it was as if all at once she was remembering all the reasons why she initially found The Merc with a Mouth to be annoying, but then she noted the part her player wrote about how he thought no one would benefit being in a relationship with him. she could not help but sigh.

*Somewhere underneath all that insincere self-awareness and corporate attempts at being "it with the kids and young adults...is a man with depth and feelings...and somehow I'm going to bring it out of you.*

she could not help but shake her head and give a half smile.

"The Wonder Wheel is a nice ride. Sure! let's go!" she grabbed Wade and began to pull him towards it.

Wade gave Gwen a sideways smile and smirked towards the comment about the humor and his language. He was half tempted to make a self deprecation joke about America’s A$$ but instead he thought better of because it was Gwen’s next statement that threw him off a bit. Gwen actually wanted to know the real him? No
She didn’t, much like his daughter who always thought the same Gwen would realize Wade always hurt those who got close to him. The only people in his world who even resembled friendship Wade more often then not proved he wasn’t the best of friend. It wasn’t his fault really up until
the choice of becoming Pestilence. He had always tried to do the right thing, but then some how it turned into the wrong thing or turned into being used by someone or something. Just as Wade was about to speak he felt himself being pulled, quite literally out of his thoughts and to the direction of the Wonder Wheel.

“Hey now some of my best features are my self deprecating jokes I’ll have you know…”

Was heads the clanging sounds of metal on metal as they approached the line for the Wonder Wheel and Uni gave out a happy laugh as she clapped her hands. As the got onto the ride Wade sat down and looked at Gwen.

“Everyone at some point in their life had an imaginary friend who was yours…you know aside from random comic book characters like well… me”

Wade gave his patented smile as he said his last statement and the wheel took off.

Gwen could not help but give a smile as she literally saw what Wade was thinking. I guess that was the thing about having two characters that could break the 4th wall. They could communicate with each other in a way few else could. Wade's self-doubts seems to just hammer in Gwen's beliefs. He thought the real him was this horrible unredeemable person that hurt all of those around him, so he'd often hide it with obnoxious jokes, dated memes and pop culture references, and gratuitous 4th wall breaks. But she did not buy it. He may have doubted himself, maybe even to a lesser extent, he hated himself. But whether he liked it or not, whether he accepted it or not, Gwen did not think that was him, and she was bound and determined to find the real him, wherever that road took her.

As the Wonder Wheel took off, Gwen could not but smirk. There was a mechanism on the wheel that locked the rocking cart into place. She looked at it, and then back at Wade. "Want to see a little trick?" as the wheel went into it's upward swing, roughly shifted her body weight causing the cart to flip, she then locked the mechanism to where it would stay upside down while on the wheels downward swing, giving cart a sense of Zero G, and causing her to be lifted out of her seat.

"Whoo!"

She then unlocked it and relocked it as it went back up repeating this Pseudo Zero G trick several times. "as far as imaginary friend goes...I had this one imaginary friend who was the daughter of a scientist whom accidentally mutated her into a big fat squishy toad mutant. She ended up fighting another friend that was a giant evil eyeball and ate it. yeah I know, I'm weird."

Wade watched as Gwen moved and floated for a moment. He couldn’t help but instinctively reach out to her accident grabbing her by the hips as she steadied herself again. Wade ackwardly exhaled and sighed letting go of Gwen’s hips.

“Sorry I instinctively just grabbed you.”

He then listened to what Gwen said about her imaginary friends and he couldn’t help but give her a sideways smile.

“ we are all a little weird Gwen, you know this as well as anyone else. As for imaginary friends I have seen a flaming marshmallow taste an imaginary friend it was the creepiest thing you could imagine.”

The ride was coming to a full stop as Wade exited he turned and held his hand out for her to grab as he now was starting to feel a bit hungry.

“Where to next? I don’t know about you but I could go for some fried dough or something…”

His voice trailed off as they passed the building where the freak show was held. He paused at one of the signs for one of the shows ‘come see the magnificent Dreamwalker as she flies through the air.’ The image depicted a women using Ariel scarves, tight rope, and a trapeze act. He turned to Gwen and smiled.

“Wanna go see the performance could be a good time. Looks like after the show this Dreamwalker does some kind of psychic reading.”

Gwen blushed a bit and smirked as Deadpool instantly grabbed onto her, he seemed to be...almost shy about it. That was new. Not that she was really minding the situation in the first place. "Dude, you needed to grab some extra leverage and I was able to provide...no big deal."

As Gwen heard Deadpool mention the Marshmallow she couldn't help but think that was a reference to Ryan Renolds movie that had come out recently but darn she could not put her finger on the name of it. As the ride came to a stop, Gwen helped pull him out of the wheel.

Deadpool said something about getting something to eat but then noticed a poster for a sideshow act called the Dreamwalker.

"Sure, I'd love to go to an act...but first, food, I'm starving. and right now I'm thinking deep Fried Mozzarella Donuts, an all beef dog with extra cheddar and a double brownie fudge funnel cake. Hey, I'm fat girl at heart and no I'm not sorry. After that then we can watch the Dreamwalker."
