Jade watched as everyone around her spring into action the massive effort to save Kurt. She inwardly took a deep breath as he spoke out with such fear and anguish Jade had to steady herself for a moment. She felt his emotions as if they were her own, but infinitely more powerful. Jade wasn’t sure if it was the bond they shared or her feeling for him that caused this, but whatever it was took away the darkness within her that the underworld brought out. For a moment in time she was just herself, not a soul reaper just Jade. Just as he laid pinned the ground, under any other circumstances Jade would have attacked the person, but she knew it was for Kurt’s own good right now. His hand reached out and points to Jade, speaking of the time she wasn’t there. Jade gently and quietly reacted. As he screamed at her that she couldn’t stay Jade watched him teleport invain feeling his panic and pain. She moved with precision as now crouched next to the panicking Kurt. She knelt down as Sigils appeared to glow on her arms.
“Everyone here needs to close their eyes, that includes you Kurt.”
Jade hoped they would listen as she closed her own eyes and went into a deep focus. She brought her forearms together and did her best to only focus on the white light in a circle around Kurt. If someone hadn’t closed their eyes it would be like looking at the sun with naked eyes, annoying but not damaging. For Kurt it would provide him a healing moment, possibly some clarity for a moment.
“INTO THE LIGHT”
She yelled out as her eyes flashed for a moment like tiny galaxies and beautiful light now encircled Kurt. As she opened her eyes the light went down to a faint hue showing it was till around Kurt for protection. She reached out her hand and placed Kurt’s hand inside. She gentle grasped it as she spoke with a tone of pure understanding.
“I was not there in the past, nor were you in my past. I have been here in this world and lived it and return to the other side. As I said you stay I stay, but you don’t belong here any more then I do permanently. I won’t let you stay here or do that to yourself. I will change places with you before I let that happen. Do you feel that light Kurt? The reason it glows the way it does is you are not forsaken as you believe. You have been hurt, betrayed and brought to this point, but it doesn’t define who you are. I’m not leaving you and I won’t let you go. Like I said where you go I go, no matter the place, universe or time. I will find you.”
Jade shakily breathed out, she wasn’t normally this emotional, she was a lot more calm cool and collected then this, but Kurt made her feel a way she hadn’t in a long time. He brought hope back to her and she now wanted to do the same for him.”
Jade was silent now keeping focus on the ring of protection surrounding Kurt. Her eyes scanned the area they were in. She realized now her light had affected the entire area, for a brief moment stopping all the darkness. ‘Must remain in control’ she thought to herself as a single tear fell down he cheek. She just above a whisper spoke out loud, without even realizing it.
“Please don’t leave me.”
Jade was surprised she even said that out loud. What had happened to her? Was she replacing Eric? Or was she remembering the pain she felt when Eric left her. Either way now wasn’t the time to figure that out. She focused more on Kurt watching as the blue BAMFs jumped on him.
