"That's the sound of the fourth wall breaking."

Kid Omega "It's all fake and illusion. That's what cool is. That's what charisma is. That's what everything is." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Before Quire had time to catch a breather, Hellion spoke in his mind and barked some more orders... As if, he just saved everyone here and now he had to "fall in line" with everyone else? The audacity. You know I'm a telepath right, dipshit? I can literally just turn their brains off for a while and we can take our mutant friend here back to Xavier's with not trouble what-so-ever... Why do we have to do this whole ruse?In spite of all his questions, Quire did keep to the instructions. No sense in screwing things over more than he already did. They already had a couple of dead humans on their hands because Pixie went a little trigger happy... Not to say the Quire particularly cared, and he likely had killed a couple of them too with his mental blast, but he most definitely felt as if he needed to minimize the damage. The last thing he needed was the tabloids on his ass about killing some people. "I think I saw Spider-Man swing through here or something like that... That Sinister Six is a nasty bunch. I wonder what they were doing out here?" He would shout out in a mock dumb tone. What none of them might not have known was that Quentin was projecting the image of Spider-Man swinging through the scenario. The dead guys would hopefully just be erased and webbed up in their minds long enough for them to get their mutant out of there. AppTrackerVoice Example

Things were getting crazy. The cops had arrived. His father was with them, telling everyone to come with him and the officers. And then there were the X-men, at least, Jimmy assumed they were the X-men, telling him and his mother and sister to come alongside them. His mother of course, wouldn't listen to the teen, taking her daughter to stand alongside her husband. "Jimmy, come with us. They'll understand, it's not your fault.""Listen to your mother Jimmy. We'll work through this. Just stay with us."The teen was at a crossroads. He should stay with his parents. They had raised him his whole life, and his father was the sheriff. He could explain things, show everyone that Jimmy was fighting out of self defense. That had to be the right choice, right? But that meant he'd give up on the questions that had started to pester him today. About his parentage, about his past, and about those strange memories that keep flashing into his head every once in a while. These guys were his best chance at getting those answers, and he knew he had to go with them. "Sorry mom, sorry dad, take care of Jan for me."He'd walk away from his parents, as they both called out for him. His father was nearly about to run off, till the team's telepath convinced everyone that all the carnage was caused by the Sinister Six. They'd see the strange sight of Spider-Man attempting to zip from mobile home to mobile home, though the site of seeing such a hero by the pier did make the cops give a double take. Perhaps the teens could have come up with a better excuse for all this death? Well, it was quick thinking nonetheless, and they were ultimately just kids. Kids with incredible powers of course, and were connected to a powerful team that could give James all the answers he could search for. "Y'all got a jet? We need to leave, now."Perhaps it would seem strange to the more "experienced" members of Gen-X to see Jimmy give an order, but James felt familiar with such scenarios. He's been through worse before, or at least, he felt he has. Now was not the time to stutter or stagnate. They couldn't get caught off guard by all the blood and murder. They needed to leave now, while they had the chance.

"This way worked. I'm damned if I'm going to apologize for it."
Julian didn't answer Quentin's thoughts. His counter-argument would just leave loose ends and could still lead to them blaming mutants, if not them specifically. They needed to pin the blame on someone else and give them a false lead to follow. So Julian mentally reminded Quentin that his faux-punk look and attempt at being a cool rebel was poser at best, coming from someone who lives in a mansion and got rejected (and subsequently killed) by a girl. A girl Julian successfully went out with, along with two of her sisters.
But for now, the mission was over. Ignoring the pleading parents, Julian gathered his mutant brethren close and let an orb of green light envelop them. Within a moment, they were carried away at surprising speed, towards the jet he had parked several blocks away. The process would only take about 12 seconds, but it gave him enough time to talk to them.
"... We're screwed if this gets out. Suspension, kicked off the team, maybe Gen-X gets shut down. All of you are going to shut up about this, until I can think of a plan. And we're going to have a long chat after we drop the kid off."
First we gonna rock, then we gonna roll Then we let it pop, go, let it go! X gon' give it to ya! He gon' give it to ya!

"Sealing spell and rudimentary magic skills. don't let me down!"
Megan panted, holding the wound. It had all gone so very out of control without a scarcely definable reason! As the green field enveloped her, she nodded and acquiesced. She wanted to apologize, to explain to Julian how it got all messed up but found she could only softly agree. “Yes, yes of course Julian, anything to think we should do.”
She looked down, her radiant pink hair matted a bit here and there from the battle hid her stunned, bordering shock features. She could only look down at her hands, that still felt that vile man's uniform fabric in them, how could she. She was a hero, the “Lion of Wales” not a psycho, not like--
She spared a look to the new guy, she straightened herself up, set her face and clamped down on the gnawing emotion mingling with the dark hole put in her soul, if she got out of this, she knew who had the answers, and she’d tell them to her, she would fix this and put it right or else.
She wished she could just, make it all go away and wind things back an hour, just an hour. She would do it all ever so differently. She craved to forget but was certain that was impossible, nor should it be forgettable.

Kid Omega "It's all fake and illusion. That's what cool is. That's what charisma is. That's what everything is." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Quire would lounge in the bubble as they flew away to The Dove and plopped onto the ground when they landed. He'd take his place up in the cockpit with Julian, making it as awful as possible for him to fly the thing, mostly because he could just save all of them if they wrecked. It was clear that Hellion was speaking in general... To himself, really, but it was directed to Quentin only by proximity of who was closest. He'd initially think to keep quiet and ignore the rambling of the madman, but he'd decide to continue to antagonize... He was also stressed out by the situation, and he had to vent by being verbally abusive as well. "Well, maybe we wouldn't be in this situation if Pixie didn't literally stab two people. Hell, I dunno if this was even worth it... It just looks like we went out to get another Wolverine... Who wants that, we can barely handle one. What, we're just gonna raise up the next Horseman of War?" He'd sneer, leaning on the doorway of the cockpit. AppTrackerVoice Example

It would seem those on the jet were not happy about how things turned out down there with the Purifiers. Sure, they helped save his family, but it would seem they all would have preferred to cut down on the bloodshed, particularly in regards to their own teammates causing said bloodshed. The X-men were all about being peacekeepers and maintaining a good PR to help provide a positive image of mutants to all of human kind. But with how things ended, it was to make the famous/infamous team look far worse as an end result. Perhaps it was best to take up the mantle of scapegoat and separate himself from the team? Sure, he had no loyalties to them, but there was this part of him that felt loyal. As if he had worked with a team in his past similar to this. But that couldn't be the case, right? He was just a simple high school kid till now. Now way was he part of the X-men. He just got his powers today. Yet, it all felt like second nature. With how he fought, to how he...killed. Looking at his fists, he felt disgusted with his actions. He wanted to wash away the dried blood that had stained his fists, his clothes. He hated himself for giving in to such savagery. And being called another "Wolverine" seemed to kinda piss him off further. But he'd ignore the comment from the familiar looking pink haired mutant. Though he coulda sworn he had seen him before. Far less mouthy for sure, and seemed to be a little older as well. James even remembered that he hung out around with Rogue a lot. Wait a minute. "Who's Rogue?" He'd mumble to himself. He had too many questions that separating himself from this team of X-men would be a bad idea. His first plan would be to meet this Wolverine. See if this man was indeed his biological father. Then from there, maybe he'd have answers to all these weird flashes of "memories" he was starting to get. Yet at the same time, he didn't want to ruin the reputation of the X-men any further. Something told him they worked far too hard to get to where their at now as a team. Best to make sure all that hard work wasn't ruined for saving his life. "If you guys need a scapegoat, just blame me. Drop me off somewhere and state I butchered those men to the news or something. Y'all can't afford to get bad PR, right? Plus, it'd be hella convenient for everyone involved."Still, he had to ask this one question. "Just...could ya tell me where I can find Wolverine once y'all do set this plane down? I got some questions for him."He had no clue what this Horseman of War business was about, and whether it still affected the man called Wolverine. But still, he needed answers to his many, many questions that had just appeared on this very day. And perhaps Logan would be the man to answer them.

"This way worked. I'm damned if I'm going to apologize for it."
"Shut up, Quentin."
Julian rubbed his temples. This was going to be hell to deal with. They were supposed to be better than the generation before them. Yet here they are, thrown into a future scandal and arguing like kids. More and more, he missed his old Hellions squad.
To Jimmy, he was going to be direct. "You shut up, too, kid. Even if you take the blame, the media's going to point fingers at every mutant. You're just going to **** us over."
He let out a sigh as he glanced down at the control board. With the Dove now on the ground, they were free to leave. But at this point, leaving the plane would be jumping from the frying pan and into the fire. It would be inevitable for any of the telepaths swarming the school to find out what they had done.
"Besides, you're one of us now. We don't give up on each other when things get tough. We're not like the flatscans. You can ask the Professor about the dog when you see him. Just don't... just don't tell him anything about today until I figure it out." X gon' give it to ya! He gon' give it to ya!

"Sealing spell and rudimentary magic skills. don't let me down!"
It was all seeming to unravel; all of it, all the fighting, all the blood. A great lot of it blood she made with her own two hands in such a very short time. She gathered her knees under her chin in the seat and looked forward as the flight continued onward under the guided hand of their leader. It had all gone very wrong with her since Limbo and she had no idea how to put it right.
“No, I don’t think that would be right...” She said softly with a small, airy almost whispered tone to the offered martyrdom. “I’d also give Wolvie a wide path, sometimes people you look up to can be very different when you actually meet them in what they say and do.” The comment of course was from her own experience, but as far as she could tell Wolverine and Magik were both- that sort of person in their own ways. She watched Quientin move up and begin to Needle Julian.
“Leave him alone, why are you so horrible all the time!” She’d tried to be nice to him, thought he was kind of fun in that diva way. But he really needed to leave poor Julian alone! She shot daggers glaring at the other pink haired mutant, clenching her fists so tightly the nails dug into her palm as she began wiping tears that left streak lines down her cheeks.
“Leave them BOTH alone, you’re simply terrible!” She’d offer, pink eyes glowing in the sea of darkness; her brow knitted in the same expression she’d given the Purifiers before she popped off.
She spoke with a voice in an equal mix of sadness and anger. “All you do is tear everyone down because inside you’re a very small, cruel little man...Leave them be!” She’d insist, not letting Quentin tear at either man. Julian was a good leader, a good man and their new friend had just seen hell and back; had offered to sacrifice himself for the good of all, a concept Quentin seemed to not even have a remote understanding of.
She backed off, as Julian laid out how it was going to be, rest her chin on the knees she gathered up and went back to quiet assessment. Magik could fix this, she could fix anything. “But at what cost.” Megan lamented internally, eyes still staring at Quentin to protect poor Julian further if she must.

Kid Omega "It's all fake and illusion. That's what cool is. That's what charisma is. That's what everything is." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All these irrelevant voices would scrape against his patience. Logan part two was feeling sorry for himself, thinking he can literally just sacrifice himself for their sake. As if they needed his help in the first place. Acting as if he were burdened by some sense of violence. Then there was Hellion, acting like some burdened leader, as if Quire wasn't infinitely more powerful than him. Why wasn't he leader? He'd just do it all himself and then no one would have to deal with it. Screw it, he could just run the X-Men his damn self and everything would be perfect. Acting as if he were burdened by some sense of leadership. Then there was Pixie. Thank imaginary God he actually cared to have somewhere to sleep and eat, because it took every ounce of restraint to not throw her out of The Dove. AS IF she had ANY room to talk about HIS insecurities. Even further, underestimating her LEADER. There was a reason that Frost made her a leader. She was supposed to be a member. Fall in line. Quire's eyes would also flare an intense pink as well as pure pink energy would flash around him. He'd float just an inch off the ground and he'd give an intense glare at Pixie. "Last I checked, Hellion doesn't NEED your backup in this situation. Nor did anyone ask you to open your dumbass mouth. I'm not awful, I'm realistic. Hellion knows it. Logan two knows it. Maybe you're just behind the curve? Maybe you just don't understand the intricacies of this team? Maybe you aren't READY for this? You don't get to STAB your problems all the time? What? You expect Julian to just walk in and kill Xavier because... What? We messed up? No. If Julian wants me to stop, Julian can stop me his damn self. If YOU have a problem, then YOU should figure that out. In your seat." Oh no, his inner Logan was showing. AppTrackerVoice Example
