Allgood was silent for a moment trying to figure how to deliver his words.
"hiding and playing the victim will not bring sympathy to us to those who believe we deserve destruction. People's minds about mutants did not change because The X-Men begged for pity, it changed because of two things. It was the result of mutants working with the Avengers to help the world, and ultimately Hellzone. People's minds only really began to change once they became victims of the government taking full control of supers and they got a small taste of what mutants had been suffering the entire time.
As for Blade himself. I still hold out hope that he can be saved. Saul of Tarsus was once a murderous religious zealot before he became Paul the Apostle one of the greatest allies and spreaders of Christianity ever to exist. As for your son...let me help you deal with him. I normally refrain from violence, but I will not stand by ideally as sheep are slaughtered by wolves. Vampires only get stronger as they age, and perhaps the youth need to be reminded of this fact. Besides, it may give me a chance to speak to the youth and at least speak sense into some of them.
Allgood raised an eyebrow at Dracula's comment about how the Ancient must sleep. "If you are Ancient then what does that make me? I'm nearly twice your age. I have seen as much as you have yet I do not sleep nor do I plan to. There is always work to be done. Even if it's not evangelical work."
He was actually starting to get a little irritated with Vald at this point. Did he understand his concerns? Absolutely. Did he understand how he felt? Indeed, the problem was and to be fair to the count. Perhaps it was not his intention, but Vlad was coming across to him as "Woe is me you a lesser vampire can't possibly understand my suffering you're not on my level." was that Vlad's intention? Perhaps, perhaps not,, and if Vald was his lord, Allgood had pledged himself to the vampire nation, or they were in Vald's domain then Allgood would not have felt right calling him out. After all as it is written, "Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed." But Vlad was not his Lord, Allgood did not pledge himself to the Vampire Nation, and Count Dracula was not in Transylvania. Allgood owed him nothing.
"Contrary to what you may think Vlad, I'm neither blind...nor deaf...nor dumb, and before you keep giving me those looks like I am just some sort of insignificant priest who could not possibly understand, and God forgive me that I should feel the need to bring this up, it would be prudent to remember that my title of The White Wolf made Kings and Kingsmen (Soldiers) tremble like children afraid of the dark centuries before yours did. Three times I was exalted to be a Vampire Lord the first time being long before your nation and bloodline even existed. Three Times I refused only because I was given a calling to a higher kingdom. In another life, I'd be the High King of The North Sea Empire and a Member of the High Council of the Vampire Nation, and you would be one of MY subjects. You do not have to agree with me or submit to my thoughts...but please do not dismiss me as your son dismisses. you."
Allgood took another sip of coffee unflinching unafraid. Whether things would cool off or whether the two had to "settle things like men" so to speak, the ball was in Vlad's court.
