"Reality is a reference point, not a limitation."

It was always so easy to forget the inexplicable bias the mortals had against their own kind. Most of Thor's experience with mutants had been limited to those who had also joined the Avengers. As such they had shared the more positive public image of Earth's Mightiest.
He shrugged in apathy at the idea of public opinion as he responded. "The mortal tendency to hate their own confuses me still. But I am an Avenger, and a Prince of Asgard. I have nothing to fear from law enforcement, and would vouch for you if anyone questioned your presence. Or invoke the immunity of the diplomat should you depart and anyone ask me who else was here."
At her suggestion of an aerial sweep of the mining camp, he nodded. Given their main forces had no particular cause for alarm beyond the freak weather they were experiencing, it seemed very unlikely any were doing anything other than taking shelter in their buildings. But too many years around Loki had left him agreeing with the human expression 'better safe than sorry'. Uncovering a deception did not mean there was not another hiding better now that you were too busy congratulating yourself on seeing through the first trick.
"The winds are cold here, so keep my cloak for now. It should help against the chill of the ice surrounding this land, however little of it the winds carry. I shall meet you once again in the middle, as you say." With that, he stepped back to give himself space for his usual grandiose take off, though he did not go anywhere just yet, waiting for Rogue to do so first.

HEY, SUGAH! ⦻
Thor knew fully well that whatever cold existed even in this jungle enclave in Antarctica would not trouble a woman like Rogue any more than one of his own. He meant to be chivalrous.
"Don't know if Ah need it all too much, but Ah'll keep it on nonetheless."
With this, she flew. She did not need quite as large of an area to do this as the Asgardian. While Thor swung his hammer in a massive and mighty circle above his head, someone like Rogue simply flew without needing an external means to propel her.
Most of those people left below her eyes were just in a daze. They had been, after all, hit by the wind and the rain in a way that neither wind nor rain should really hit.
There were scattered among them, mainly at the outskirts men with guns. Part of this was probably because of the illegal activity. Part of this was also probably because the illegal activity was done in an area with dinosaurs.
She moved in for the strike when she saw them. Given everything else she faced as an X-woman, and one who could withstand far worse too, men with guns were practically a morning workout.

As Thor rose into the air he gained a wider view of the area below. There were buildings and storage areas, a few mortals patrolling urgently back and forth, clearly alarmed by the sudden change. More scurried from the mines, or the flimsier buildings towards the sturdier ones. But Thor's gaze fell primarily on those with the weapons. The weather forced them to keep their eyes firmly directed at the ground, whilst he was untroubled.
Floating down in front of the first of the patrols, he allowed his presence to be noticed before calling out to them, the winds carrying his voice rather than fighting against it. "Greetings. You are here illegally, assisting with other illegal activities. Do you surrender?"
They did not. As their guns began to raise, so to did Mjolnir. Not to defend himself or even attack, but instead high overhead to focus on the already ionised air around them. It took only a momentary thought for the hammer's powers to send high energy Alpha particles into their weapons, turning them to naught but dust. Thor lowered his hammer, now pointing it directly at the two, now crackling with electricity, and spoke once more.
"Do. You. Surrender? I will not ask again."
For once, these minions showed intelligence and raised their hands. It took only moments to lift them into the highest branches of a nearby tree, ensuring it was steady enough despite the winds and warning them not to move from there, before he headed off to the other patrol he had seen, dealing with them similarly. It was only a minute or so later that he found himself heading in towards the middle of the area, looking for any sign of Rogue, or indeed SHIELD, who would similarly be arriving any moment.

HEY, SUGAH! ⦻
The bad guys were rounded up and those SHIELD boys were coming in soon. The exploiters of the Savage Land had been dealt with and stopped. It was time enough to go on home.
When the Thunder God flew overhead, she met him in the sky. Both of them took to the sky with as much effort as most took to walk.
"Well, sugah, Ah think this is where we part ways. Thanks for the lovely time."
She gave him a peck on the cheek, albeit modified. She placed a gloved hand against his face and kissed the back of her own hand. Strictly speaking, this was unnecessary now as she could control her powers, but the last thing she wanted was some sort of flareup when dealing with the power of someone like Thor, so it was better to be safe than sorry.
With this, she took flight, disappearing into the Savage Land sky.
