They ask who you are You shine from afar I tell 'em make a wish
Star folded her arms as she listened to the magic girl ask the winged person about the portal and if she can close it or just force the dinosaurs back through the portal. She wasn't thrilled with the idea of just letting them go through one portal and end up in another one.
She folded her arms and looked at the portal before turning toward the others. "Why are we just standing around?" she demanded firmly. "Let's go through that thing and really kick their asses back to the Jurassic age." Her face definitely had a look of impatience upon it since she didn't like doing nothing when another dinosaur could emerge through the portal.

Time, you have everything, share it with me. Dark is the mystery. How silently the Kestrel is flying.
Kestrel looked at he woman who asked if she could close the portal that currently existed, or figure out how to get any dinosaurs to go through it again. A loop was an interesting concept, but the size of the portal that was needed would be huge and it'd be physically impossible to establish such a feat.
She retracted the helmet that she wore and looked at the woman, "Good idea, but unfortunately my portals don't work that way. They need to have a terminus and I'm unable to impact portals created by others. The size that would be required to handle any dinosaurs would prevent being able to logistically forming a loop and have them go in portal and out the other with the size of the street we're dealing with."
Pausing for a moment, the SHIELD agent suggested, "We need to find another way to close that portal. Perhaps if we go through it, we could discover the source on the other side and close it from there. I'd recommend calling in reinforcements to drive any dinosaurs back through the portal that may try to traverse it while we check out what's on the other side."
Swift is the Kestrel's flight, straight to the heart.

THE BLOB IN
Dinomania!
"Any of you people ever time travel 'cause that's what this could be if we go through this thing, course it could also be some other dimension, or just something normal, like the Savage Land."
It was a testament to how long he had been in the business, both as a hero and as a villain, that he considered a fantastical land of dinosaurs, sabretooth cats, and ancient deadly ruins deep in a forbidding jungle to be normal.
"That reinforcements idea's a good one, especially if we get stuck. We walk through without tellin' anyone, we could be stuck in the Triglycerides era without anyone knowing what happened."
His point was sound, even if the exact words confused a set of eons with fatty blood.
"Hey, kid with the staff, can you use that to write a note in the sky or something, y'know, like the Fantastic Four do with their little flare thing?"

Klara looked out at the street, she was scared of what was going on. Seeing Nico helped a little. Seeing the people talk made her wonder.
"I need to go home."
She spoke quietly to nobody. Then the shop keepers words came to her.
"I think its Wisteria. There must have been some kind of magic to create it. Perhaps to protect us."
The shop keeper grunted as he looked at the dying flowers.
"I don't sell wisteria."
The old lady came to Klara's side to look out the window.
"I think the girl's right. I used to dream of owning a house with wisteria. Lovely smell, beautiful colour. I always wished to have a home with it."
Klara smiled as she knew the feeling well. A lovely garden was what she could do with. Perhaps a trip to Central Park would help her feel a little more calm. The plant was meant to brighten up where they were currently staying. That along with vegitables to be grown. The doors suddenly slid open and she waved to Nico. Wanting to see if she could help as she caught the last of the conversation.
"I think I can help a little."
She called up tentatively.

Ugh. They had a brief respite from the violence, and the first suggestion made was more violence? Perhaps it was going to be necessary to keep all of New York safe, but that didn't mean Nico would like it. Still, she felt obliged to speak up on a minor point of order on behalf of Old Lace's distant cousins. "The only species I've seen so far have all been Cretaceous, I think. Jurassic was the age before that one. Anyway..."
She rummaged in her outfit and produced a cell phone from a well concealed pocket. Pressing a couple of buttons on it, she approached the portal and after testing it with a piece of litter thrown through to make sure it was safe, she cautiously reached through, holding her phone the other side for a few seconds before bringing it back through again and checking it.
"GPS kept going, so it's not into the past or an alien world. Coordinates are... The South Pole? That can't be right, that's a jungle through there. But yes, I've travelled in time. No desire to repeat it. But if we're going into a prehistoric jungle, real or no, I'm happy for Klara to come along, if she wants to. She can control plants, so she'd probably be the most powerful of any of us through there."
With this, she waved back at Klara who she could see emerging from the building, and beckoned for her to come and join them. Whilst she did so, Nico began sending a text to a few of her better connected new friends in the girl power group A-Force.
Portal at 4th and Maynards, leads to jungle full of dinosaurs somehow in Antartica. Going through with bunch of tasteless costumes to stop it before people get hurt. Let someone important know - might need a ride home.
"There. That's Captain Marvel and She-Hulk notified, they'll pass it on and keep this side safe. Maybe if we're lucky they'll be able to arrange backup for us too."

Bumping due to time gap. Zania, you can post whenever and we'll go back to normal cycle. THE BLOB IN
Dinomania!
"South Pole is Savage Land. Good. A normal place."
"Alright, kids. This is like any jungle anywhere on Earth. Buncha poison plants and deadly snakes. Lotta giant bugs. It's also got dinosaurs, mammoths and stuff like that. If you see a Tarzan-lookin' guy with a sabretooth cat, he's friendly and speaks English. If you see a green pterodactyl-man, he also speaks English, but is an unfriendly soul-sucking vampire. There's also are usually Doctor Minnow guys here." The name drop was evidently entirely inadvertent as he continued, "so pig-men, giraffe-women, stuff like that."
He stepped through the gateway.
He started to trek through the thick jungle greenery, pushing back vines with his massive bulk. "Probably whatever's making that portal has to do with a supervillain, so be careful. Lotta supervillains like to hide out here cause it's a pain in the-" he remembered his very young company, "butt to come down here and clear 'em out. Plus a lot of 'em like to enslave the natives, like the pterodcatyl-man, Sauron, not that one, the bird one. Mind controls them to do his bidding. Usta be my teammate." ""

They ask who you are You shine from afar I tell 'em make a wish
Star flew through the portal without hesitation, wanting to get this over with as quickly as possible. The big guy explained what to watch out for in the Savage Land, and while that was helpful it probably wasn't going to be absolutely necessary since the more important thing was to figure out what was causing the portal and get it shut down before any more dinosaurs could go through it and rampage on the streets of New York.
"So how are we going to figure out what's causing these portals in a place like this?" she asked as she hovered in the air, keeping an eye out for any other dinosaurs that might try to approach the portal. She wouldn't mind being able to get in some more hits on the dinosaurs since they were pea for brains anyways. It'd give her more of a chance to use her powers.

Time, you have everything, share it with me. Dark is the mystery. How silently the Kestrel is flying.
Sybil Tan proceeded through the portal and looked around, noticing the distinct difference between the Savage Land versus New York City. They had gone literally from an urban jungle into the jungle known as the Savage Land. Thankfully, her suggestion for calling in others to guard the portal and drive back any dinosaurs that might emerge while they were on the other side.
She looked over and noticed another person offer to help a little. She glanced in the woman's direction and asked, "I'm sure we can use all of the help we can get. Do you have any abilities we should be aware of that may be useful?"
The big guy had provided them with some information about what to expect within the Savage Land, which caused Kestrel to nod. "Besides the dinosaurs, which threats do you believe we will encounter first?" The guy seemed to have some knowledge of the area, so it'd be foolish to not rely on that experience.

Klara, the preteen walked forward and looked through the portal her eyes going wide. "WHOOOOOOOoooo!"
She giggled then stepped in listening to everything. She had only been in the forests where she grew up which always seemed slightly subdued, this in comparison was fully alive. As a vine grew towards her she reached out and gently touched it before it retreated. She then looked up at the silver lady and smiled at her before turning full circle. "Which way are the others like us? Please clear a path but keep us hidden?"
Klara listened to what she heard. "Don't be afraid, we won't eat you or hurt you. You're amazing!"
Klara looked at Nico. "They said that the little two legged dino should stop being pushy. Plus, this is soooo COOOL!"Klara moved and look around again before pointing in a slightly different direction to The Blob where a path had just appeared. The floor appeared to still have plant growth on it but that they have moved to create a tunnel. "That way!"

So it really was the South Pole, and somewhere called the 'Savage Land'? This walking avatar of morbid obesity might as well have just been saying random words for all the plausibility Nico could find in them. Antarctic jungle filled with Jurassic Park, Tarzan and the bad guy from the Lord Of The Rings movies? But not Santa as well? She wasn't sure whether to just call him a liar outright or to give him the benefit of the doubt given the telepathic dinosaur from the future that was (kind of) the pet of her group of friends. The animal people, though? That was at least a little closer to the normality of life in New York with its spandex clad citizens, even if she'd not heard of a Doctor Minnow. Presumably the decent animals were already taken. "Fish man doctor and other animals, right. I'll watch out for... just about everything, by the sounds of it."As they all went through the aperture into the jungle one by one, the Portal Girl turned to ask Nico a question, one which she couldn't help but wonder if it was a test or something. "The magic I was using earlier, for a start. You're the one that was using those portals, yes?"Klara seemed to be delighted with their surroundings, which Nico couldn't help but smile slightly at. That kind of joy was far too infrequent for their little group and she wasn't going to do anything to distract her from it. As the youngest Runaway ran off down her self forming path, Nico strode out after her. "This way, it seems. Klara around plants, she knows what she's talking about."Her grip on the Staff Of One remained firm though. Maybe Klara was in her element, but there were still dangerous monsters out there that might attack at any moment. Or the various other menaces that may or may not exist... zania

THE BLOB (FRED DUKES)
One of his companions asked more about the threats they might face. "Depends on where we stumble, I guess. It's a jungle. It's always changing." Whatever it was, he would be ready.
The kid that talked to plants seemed to know the way. He gave her a warning, one that would probably not be taken well, but it was for her own good.
"Be careful what you promise here. There are plants in the Savage Land that eat people, not the other way like it should be."
What they came through after walking through a maze of plant life was a citadel of stone, broken apart and reclaimed by green over decades, maybe centuries. Everything built by man was slowly being pulled down by mosses and vines and trees. What may once have been five great pillars, north, east, south, west, and center, were at the corners of a rectangular plot about an acre and a half in area. The most mighty still stood eight feet tall and the most beaten down was little more than a stumbling block. The outer pillars had a ditch, deep enough to bury a knee, running from end to end. At the center pillar was a pile of bones, scattered by scavengers and bleached white by the sun. A couple dozen bones including multiple skulls were a testament to some awful past for this lost structure.

She noticed one of the people in the group seem to have some kind of a connection with the plants. That much seemed obvious with how one of the vines grew toward her and retreated only after she had touched it. The big guy suggested they go in one direction, but the plant lady seemed to uncover a tunnel due to how the plants had parted.
"Why not split up? A couple of us explore the tunnel of plants, and the rest of us go in the direction the big guy suggested," Star mentioned. It'd allow them to cover more ground, find what was behind all of this, and then get back to New York a lot quicker than sticking together in a bigger group.

Time, you have everything, share it with me. Dark is the mystery. How silently the Kestrel is flying.
Kestrel was impressed by those that were within the group, although the woman with the slanted cape rubbed her the wrong way. She wasn't quite sure why that was the case, but it was still concerning especially when she had witnessed the woman display an impressive amount of strength.
One of the other women in the group answered her, explaining how she had used magic, but then asked if she had been the one that was using portals. "Yes, but the weapon I use to create the portals is based in science. It requires a terminus, or the portal can not be established," she explained.
The big guy at least answered her question about the threats within the jungle even though it was very generalized. It was still enough of a warning that meant that she had to be on guard for just about anything.
She followed the group to what looked like a set of ruins that contained skulls. "Archeologists would have a field day with this find. That has to be hundreds of years old," the SHIELD agents observed.

Klara was just looking around at the different plants but following the path they had set. Then suddenly it broke into a wider opening. There were a few plants that she had looked at with a frown and one that she paused at as if inspecting a leaf. Apart from this she had carried on walking. Once at the ruins she looked at the pillars, used a finger to count them then looked at the others and to see that there were five of them. She looked to the plants and then to Nico.
"There are five pillars.... and five of us."
Logical and also obvious. She turned to the plants.
"Thank you."
Then turned back to the area not daring to move any closer.
"How do we know if we have found what we are looking for? This looks old! Does time move differently here?"
Maybe this was a bad idea!
