Spider-ManIt had felt like ages since his battle in Brooklyn involving Skinless' gang. A careless member firing off an rpg shot that nearly topped a building. Miles had to summon all of his strength and then some just to keep the building afloat to get everyone out. It was a miracle he somehow found a way out of that himself.
"Don't tell me he plans on doing highlight reel of all of my worst moments in life. Not in the mood to relive that again. Was sore for weeks...."As our recalled the horrific events of seemingly long career as a hero (even though it's been barely 2 years), he found himself soon swinging upon the sight of the building, finding a strange sight in the process. People taking footage, others running for their lives, all away from this new gang of strange individuals, carrying parts of a device straight into a building. Though the parts they were carrying wasn't what caught Miles' eye, but rather the strange look upon their faces and the strange red tendrils slightly protruding out of their skin and clothes.
"Oooookaaaay, that's not weird at all..."He needed to interrupt whatever the hell they were doing, and he needed to do it fast. Best shot to do this was with a web-strike. Firing a web-line from up above as he swung on in, he'd pull himself in fast and hard for a powerful punch across the jaw of the first goon to knock him down. He'd then use his other hand to push off his body to continue the combo, firing another web-line at another goon to pull quickly towards that foe.
Zipping in, he'd pull himself in for a fast drop kick with both his feet to knock that man down. Knocking that foe down, he'd quickly follow up to web up the downed foe as his back slid across the concrete from the initial momentum from the last web pull.
However, as he tried to turn around, he'd see the first goon he had punched earlier stand up quite quickly, and he'd barely realize the guy he had webbed up earlier had started to tear through the webbing. He needed to hit them harder if he wanted them to stay down.
Especially as the other goons outside the building had started to swarm him.
"Alright, time to bring out the big guns."Charing up his hands with bioelectricity, he'd shoot out close range sparks at the concrete below to boost him forward. The charge would shoot out around his body like an aura, zapping the goons that tried to jump upon the young hero to knock them back. He'd boost forward then to grab and flip around another goon ahead him about 20 yards away, committing to a flipping throw at another goon to knock them down. The man whom he threw would carry the charge Miles had earlier, passing it along to the goon he was thrown at, causing a large zap-like reaction to knock them both down.
Miles wouldn't even notice the red goo trying to spread out within their bodies suddenly dissipating after the large sparks of electricity from that earlier attack. Two of the goons were down for the count now and Spider-Man wasn't stopping.
He'd fire another spark out from his hands to boost fast towards another goon, landing a fast electric kick that knocked that infected woman away. The sparks would cause the other goons to also get knocked back, with 2 more criminals getting directly hit by her flying body feeling the brunt of that electricity. Those 3 goons would feel large electric sparks, causing the red goo to suddenly fry within their bodies, freeing them from whatever control they happened to be under.
That meant 5 people were out for the count, leaving 15 left, though Miles wasn't fully aware of the whole number given their were some in the building. The rest started to get a little wary of the hero, realizing his electric attacks were quite the threat.
"I got a bit more than left in the tank! Come on then! You guys working for skinless! Y'all fit the look and the vibe. Y'alls skin practically looks like it's about to rip out of your face....Ew, uh, maybe y'all need to get that checked out?"He still didn't realize what his electricity had done earlier, nor does he realize these people are under someone else's thrall just yet. For now, he needed to get out of this circle of men, before he gets surrounded. They were definitely tougher than the usual thug, given one was able to tear out of his webbing earlier with ease, and the other shrugged off his head on punch with the full momentum of his web-zip.
He figured camouflage would be the way to go, to sneak out of sight from these goons and regain his charge. He could launch about 2 to 3 more attacks like that before a slight breather, but it'd help to not be surrounded immediately in the meantime. Activating his invisibility, he'd commit to a flipping kick to a nearby thug that was in his way, figuring it'd be an easy attack to land and knock the man away for the opening.
However, this thug would actually catch the kick while Miles was invisible.
"Uh what?"As he was awkwardly upside down with his leg caught by the foe, another thug would kick him in the chest to knock him straight towards the ground, causing his invisibility to short out. The other men would then swarm Miles, landing several vicious blows in the process. Could the hero weather the storm and make a comeback? Or is this the end of our new Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?
