The Bloodaxe, Weapon of a Madman

So, I have this idea here... but it's still a bit rough around the edges and would involve several others taking part.

General Note:

Given the notoriety of the Bloodaxe it would make sense that lots of people would be looking for it for various reasons. Collector might want it for the collection. Odin, and others, to stash it somewhere for safe keeping, or even to try and destroy it. Hela to maybe use it to try and make a Lieutenant... or any number of other reasons. Aldrif/Angela... I'm sure she'd have a reason to want it, ditto for Loki.

So, there is potential for several characters/groups to be involved. I was envisioning a sort of big race where, at the end, through various methods we all kind of end up in the same place at the same time going for the Bloodaxe. I know Jaymi is doing something with Jarnbjorn at the moment, maybe that could be made to tie into this as well? Both magic axes in the same place? Jarnbjorn is confused for Bloodaxe, or vice versa? Could also maybe have the Collector send anyone who wants to go looking for it off in the same direction.

What I have, so far, involves Hepzibah and Sif going after it. Open to lots of ideas here.

Phase 1 - Hepzibah Convinces Sif that she can find the axe

Working on this thread now, the drunk Hepzibah thread. Which will end with Hepzibah and Sif going off to Asgard.

Phase 2 - Asgard Field Trip

In which Hepzibah meets Thor, and maybe Odin. Maybe Thor decides to tag along on the adventure?

Phase 3 - Hepzibah's Contact

I will create a simple Shi'ar NPC who has imagination and the ability to dream, thus making him insane by Shi'ar standards. How Hepzibah knows him, easy enough to come up with a reason. They will visit him and he will send them to the Collector.

Phase 4 - The Collector, Part 1

The Shi'ar sends Sif and Hep (and Thor?) off to the Collector, the Collector offers information in exchange for some rare bird specimens from Shi'ar Space.

Phase 5 - Shi'ar Space/Shi'ar Homeworld

The Collector wants a Dodo egg and a Passenger Pigeon egg. He wants to add the animals to his collection, and it turns out the Shi'ar saved them from extinction and have just a few of them that they keep on hand. So, we go steal some eggs.

Convenient thing for Collector to ask for. Rare and not powerful, so doesn't cause any board problems by giving these things to Collector.

Phase 6 - The Collector, Part 2

Return the items to the Collector, get information.

Phase 7 - Go and Get the Bloodaxe

Will there be a big fight here? *shrugs* These last parts I'm more fuzzy on.

Phase 8 - Back to Asgard? Hepzibah gets the rest of her payment? Something else?

So Angela's story is taking part and will culminate beyond acquiring Jarnbjorn but we can totally have these two plots 'meet' at Jarnbjorn for a skirmish before I get to the really juicy bit.

Where Angels Tread: Angela finds herself back within the nine realms and comes to Midgard, one of the few places she knows from old stories that isn't immediately hostile to the Angels of Heven. Meeting many of Earth's heroes, Dr. Strange eventually agrees to take her to Asgard so she can speak with the All-Father.

Side of the Angels: Dr. Strange teleports himself and Angela to Asgard where the pair force a meeting with Odin, Thor, and Sif. Odin reveals Angela is his daughter which has her question things but adamant about returning Heven to its place in the Ten Realms, she doesn't accept any other alternative and when Thor offers her a 'test' to pick up Mjolnir, she refuses and leaves, promising Strange his payment once Heven has been returned and her coffers are available once more.

Angel's Advocate: On Earth's moon, Loki finds Angela and the two make a bargain. Loki tells the Angel of a legendary wedding dress that can block Heimdall's sight in return for promises of Heven's legions siding with Loki in a bid to bring down Odin.

Angel in the House: Angela arrives at the temple to claim the wedding dress for her own. Heimdall, having seen her actions, sends his sister to prevent this. After a small skirmish, Angela slips past the warrior and into the temple. The love of her people and Sera sees her through the challenge inside and she lays claim to Siri's Wedding Dress which becomes a winged suit of armor on the Princess and she takes wing, disappearing into the vastness of space and leaving Sif to tend her wounded pride.

So all of the above has happened so far. The next two parts will be Angela's hunt for Jarnbjorn, a weapon capable of cutting almost anything.

Part 5: Angela goes to Hel to speak with the Ruler of the Underworld. To make a deal with Hela, she offers the souls of the Angels to the dead queen to give them an afterlife that they had not had before. In return, Hela tells her of Jarnbjorn and where to find it. (In the comics, the Angels did actually go to Hel but were basically enslaved by Hela. Going around that with this provides something for Angela to offer and still opens up plot points in the future) To assist her, Hela gives Angela the Bloodaxe to use until she acquires Jarnbjorn.

Part 6: On Hela's information, Angela travels back to Midgard to claim the lost ax of her brother which as been hidden in a tomb for centuries.

Part 6 would obviously be the culmination of the 'Hunt for the Bloodaxe' where instead of searching that for weapon, they find instead Jarnbjorn and a fight breaks out over it. It doesn't need to be a total win for Angela but I would definitely like her to leave there with the weapon to set up her stuff going forward. Bringing in Loki and Hela to assist her (since they now have vested interests in returning Heven to the Ten Realms) would even the battlefield and even put the power on Angela's side so the win wouldn't need to be stupidly contrived.

Part 7 on: Secret.

Tying in this Jarnbjorn, on the back end, should be easy enough.

Simply have The Collector, for his own reasons, send us after the wrong axe.

Or, for the fetch quest, the Collector could send us after Jarnbjorn... which could make things very interesting indeed... what if Angela made a deal with Thor to let Thor and company take Jarnbjorn to the Collector... which gets Thor and crew the info on the Bloodaxe... and then Loki can steal Jarnbjorn from the Collector? Just a thought. Or maybe they give a fake, Loki projection, Jarnbjorn to the Collector...

It's not like Hepzibah would know the difference between them anyway.

It makes no nevermind to me who gets the weapon in the end. I have zero desire for Hepzibah to have it. Besides, she wants, and has already asked for, Asgardian Daggers (which I doubt she will get).

Amended part 5 to bring the Bloodaxe into play:

If Angela goes into battle with the Bloodaxe, then the Collector could send them to where Jarnbjorn is because he'd know she was showing up there with the weapon.

So they're there for the Bloodaxe which just happens to be where Jarnbjorn is where as Angela's showing up for Jarnbjorn and just happens to be carrying the Bloodaxe.

Phase 3 - The Collector's Deal

Looking for more information on the whereabouts, the trio heads to the Collector. He agrees to meditate on its location while the party fetches him a new Klyntar, his previous one having been stolen by the Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel. (Depending on how long this takes, it could be its own thread or rolled into the beginning of 'phase 4' as the same thread.)

Phase 4 - Battle at Knowhere

To uphold their end of the deal, the trio hunts down the Collector's acquisition, a mission that sends them into space where an alien with a symbiote is wrecking havoc at the space station. Guess Quill shouldn't have left the Klyntar unguarded in Bug's apartment. (Highly recommend Gordy for the NPC alien/symbiote. He does one-off villains super well and it would keep him up to date with the thread so when the Collector is needed for the end, he's already involved)

Returning victorious, the party gives the Collector his payment and he tells them where to find the Bloodaxe. (Can easily fold this into the end of the thread instead of having a fully separate part here.)

Phase 5 - The Tomb of Jarnbjorn, Battle for the Axes.

Travelling to Earth, the group runs afoul of Angela on her quest for Jarnbjorn. Wielding the Bloodaxe and with her new Asgardian allies, the two groups fight with Angela recovering Jarnbjorn and Thor's team retrieving the Bloodaxe.

Phase 6 - Something something something Darkside.

Amended to make it a bit more streamlined while still hitting all the main points.
