Full disclosure, I have sent this to several mods and have not heard back yet. If they say no, it doesn't happen.
Here's what I have for the idea, I'm also happy to drop a temp app for a Master Mold.
I'm sending this to several mods. Since I envision it becoming a board thing it needs Mod approval. I don't mind playing a hand in running the thing.
Here's my Wild Sentinel's idea... in broad strokes (since RP could take the plot in a few different directions):
1. The Wild Sentinel Master Mold would still have been set up by the U.S. Government. It's implied in the comics that there are several such Sentinel programs that are off the books, as it were. My thinking was to put such a Wild Sentinel Master Mold on the island of Sekajang Besar in the Riau Islands province of Indonesia. I know this is different from the Comics (Ecuador was the choice there), but the comics hint that there are more than one Wild Sentinel program. This island makes sense because it is an uninhabited jungle island, so the setting is the same. The island is also in the Malaka Straits, a known area of modern piracy (and an ocean trade SUPER HIGHWAY) where ships go missing from time to time. Plenty of Wild Sentinel resources for building, and any ships they take would be chalked up to pirate attack rather than a Sentinel Program. Plus, crewmembers snatched up in this way could also be turned into Wild Prime Sentinels.
2. The attack on Lifeguard going on right now could be the coming out party for this band of Wild Sentinels with the one attacking her being a Wild Prime Sentinel made from scavenged metal and a cargo ship crew member.
3. There would need to be someone, probably a Trask, to activate the program. Similarly, the program could also be activated by someone with suitable shapeshifting abilities. Still, I would suggest using Trask III for this, as in the comics.
4. Given that the CW was done as a Board Event when the board launched, years ago, from what I have been told... it stands to reason that such an event, combined with the Trask family's views on things, could lead to Trask III changing the programming of the Wild Sentinels so they go after any super-powered individual/alien they encounter. This would open the door for them to go after anyone on the board that wanted to have a Sentinel fight. Similarly, given that Master Molds have been shown to have the ability to learn, and overwrite their programming, it's possible that this Master Mold simply decides to go and do something about the super-powered people.
5. I would envision this as some limited targeting of non-supers too, if they appear to side with Mutants or other Supers while the Wild Sentinels are engaged in combat.
6. After a bit of this, we could have the Wild Sentinels launch a few assaults on various places. Xavier's Mansion, SHIELD HQ or a Helicarrier, even the Raft, come to mind as possibilities.
7. Those attacks spur someone (not sure who) to figure out where these attacks are coming from, which sets up the final showdown on the Island in the Jungle with Wild Sentinel Master Mold and an indeterminate number of Wild Sentinels.
