Alison Blaire, aka Dazzler, woke up on a sunny, lazy Saturday. There were no classes for the students at the X-Men school and she really didn't feel like training or even recording music, she just wanted to have a day off. She got dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a soft pink and turquoise top, laced up her tennis shoes and brushed her long blond hair, twisting it into a pigtail, before grabbing her purse and sneaking out the back to the garage where everyone kept their vehicles. Her beautiful blue car was there and she hopped in, fastening the seatbelt before driving outside and down the winding path to the entrance.
Slipping on a pair of sunglasses, she turned onto the street and drove for a while before she reached her destination, a cozy little music store with a cafe attached. Heading inside, she stepped up to the counter and ordered an egg and cheese sandwich with a cup of tea and sat at one of the outside tables. She slowly ate her breakfast, enjoying every bite and sip, and then placed her dish and cup in the cleanup area before heading into the music store. She spent the next three hours browsing, listening to music, and chatting with some of the other customers, including signing some autographs for a couple of fans who shyly approached her.
She ended up buying a couple of retro albums to add to her collection, before heading off to her favorite quiet spot, which was a secluded area of a park near the apartment where she and her band had lived before they made it big. Closing her eyes, she smiled as she thought back through her life so far and how she had grown, not only as a musician but also as a person, she was content right now with everything. Chuckling to herself, she knew that wouldn't last for long as she always wanted to race ahead to the next big thing.
Eventually she pulled out and joined the normal traffic, heading back toward the mansion but slowly. She wanted to take in the day as much as possible, she knew that once she got back, someone will have been looking for her, whether that was Mercury needing a partner for the training room or maybe Little Blue would stop by again. She had so much to be thankful for, and she was truly happy for the most part. Soon the school came into view and she arrived at the gate, which opened to let her in. She pulled back into the garage and found her space, parking carefully before hopping out and grabbing her treasures. She was humming happily as she walked back inside, waving at the students who ran past her to leave on their own adventures, and laughed as she saw Mercury heading toward her. "Hey Alison, mind being my partner again?" the young teen asked, causing Alison to shake her head. "I don't, just let me put this stuff away? I'll meet you there" she said, grinning as the young teen agreed and took off.
