Still AliveThe Tales and Advice of a "Good" VampireBy Christopher AllgoodSponsored by The Followers of the Holy Gospel and the Order of the Fishermen
Author Acknowledgment: I'd like to thank Magret Mclain for giving me the courage to finally bite the bullet and write down a journal or rather a blog. If even just one vampire sees this and is encouraged not to fall into the face of evil, then I feel as if this effort is worth it. I'd like to dedicate a special tribute to an old friend of mine named Joseph, though he is long gone he is certainly not forgotten. I'd especially like to give special thanks to Magret Mclain. Little Maggie I have been with you since you were, but a small child and it has been a joy to watch you grow up. I'm sure you are happy I finally took your advice and am making a journal. And of course, Praise be to God who has not abandoned me, but has guided me all of these centuries. May your glory shine on forever, amen.

Contrary to popular belief, Good vampires do exist. In fact, they are probably more common than you think. Chances are if you've walked into the nightlife portion of a city and you've run into someone with pale skin, and canines that may seem lighter than normal chances are you've actually ran into a vampire without realizing it. Many vampires simply wish to be left alone and live lifes as close to what they had before.
Unfortunately, there are also not as many good vampires as I would personally like. As it is written in the book of Ephesians "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
The problem with evil actions is that once they are committed it becomes easier and easier to keep committing them even to the point that your heart gets cauterized, and just like how idol hands are the Devil's workshop, despair and desperation too is a valuable tool of the devil.
You see Vampire suffer from a condition where their metabolism is heavily altered to where they either cannot produce blood themselves or their bodies cannot process it (Even after thousands of years the nature of vampirism is still a mystery as it seems to have both viral and mythical aspects in it's nature. If a vampire does not get a supply of blood every so often, they suffer from what I can only best describe as withdrawal symptoms and if the vampire suffers too great a withdrawal they can go into a state of feral hunger, this is often what results in a vampires first bite victim and kill.
Some vampires are ashamed of what they have done and move somewhere far away from the rest of society where they will hunt wild game, or move to small farming communities so that they can have a supply of animal blood, some will even work as nurses and blood banks.
Others, in fact, I would argue most even, find that they enjoy dancing with the dark side. They come to find they enjoy the feeling of power that comes with consuming human blood straight from the throat. They enjoy the thrill of the kill, once that line of sin is crossed others soon follow, debauchery, it's a vicious cycle that leads to the common idea of the vampire that everyone knows and fears...even vampires themselves.

The biggest thing that hurts a vampire the most is simply the lack of support. Family members reject them, and churches shun them, and society at large will denounce them as "Undead" not truly alive, not the family members and the people they knew, but rather a mockery. Combine that with new aversions that people have to deal with as vampires that they didn't have before, such as Holy Symbols, garlic, and silver, and the vampire themselves may question if they are truly alive or if they simply exist. They question if they truly have a soul or if they are doomed to be a demonic corpse condemned to Hell no matter how hard they try.
There is a sense of abandonment, a perceived hole that they are desperate to fill, and the devil loves nothing more than an empty hole, a vacuum. To any vampire that reads this, no that you are still alive. The breath may be gone but your soul still remains you have agency, you can choose the kind of person you want to be, amen.

I guess I should start with my story. I am over 1100 years old, I have walked the earth a long time and have seen many many things. When I was younger I was born in what is Modern Day Sweden in the small village of Skald. I was what many would call a viking, but one thing needs to be clear, Vikings were not like what you think of in the modern day. In fact, we didn't even call ourselves Vikings. That's a term that didn't exist until the 19th century.
We were all just farmers and tradesmen trying to live our lives in the cold Nordic climate. Raiding was mainly a side gig, a chance to get some quick and extensive wealth that we would normally have access to as well as a chance for young boys to prove they had successfully become men. Most of the time we us boys would use the jewelry to try to impress young women and their fathers in hopes of winning their hands in marriage.
