Gwen sat in the waiting room of the daily bugle waiting for JJJ to open up his gosh darn office building. She had waited a LONG time to finally give the man a piece of her mind and this was her prime opportunity to do it. She was going to let him have it. She was sick of His spider-man slander and she was overall sick of his cockiness. Course was Gwen being smart about this? Probably not. She was in her 20s and she still had that bold brashness that came with being young. Still however this was going to go down, she wanted to make sure that the man heard some "Cold hard truths" as she liked to call them. There was also another thing she was considering, but she didn't want to entertain the idea unless there was a real possibility right now she just wanted to talk to JJJ himself. So she waited...and waited.

OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE J. Jonah Jameson, Jr. was a man with a long memory. Well, that wasn't entirely true. When it came to his often rash decisions, he could be counted on to not remember having fired one of his people in a rage mere moments ago. When it came to threats against his paper, his memory was long.
A while ago, one of Spider-Man's goons attacked his office. This wasn't unusual in and of itself, they often came by at their kingpin's behest.
What was unusual was that a different masked idiot had misinterpreted a want ad and had shown up that very night to try and get a job as a security guard. His temp position didn't work out but he did remember the guy.*
It was a fortunate bit of kismet that J. Jonah Jameson, Jr. decided to walk through the lobby that morning with coffee in hand. He wore a dark blue suit, white dress shirt, and black tie.
That's when the pink and white spandex caught the corner of his eye. "What in the blazes are you doing here in that stupid costume at this time of day?! This is a place of business! We dress like it! We aren't hiring some Gen Z kid with pink highlights who thinks that a T-shirt and baggy pants is appropriate work attire!"
Also, Deadpool Girl, I hope you can read better than he can. Do you know what kind of ridiculousness it was having to spend 20 minutes going over a simply worded paragraph with a grown ass man? If I wanted to teach snot nose brats how to read, I would have become an educator! No, strike that. I am an educator, school of hard knocks. You learn to be a damn journalist in the real world or you're out on your ass!"

Gwen proceeded to look at her player whom she referred to as her guardian angle. She was now talking in her thoughts so that she would not look crazy while still being plenty loud enough for him to hear. (Note: dialogue in astricts are the equivalent of a thought bubble.)
*You let me come in here in my superhero costume?!?*
*sorry I didn't think that that was how Jameson was going to see you. I didn't think to specify how you dressed.*
*Dude I'm a Marvel character whose counterparts are known for absurdity you didn't think that JJJ's player was going to take an opening if they could find it?!?*
*Sorry*
*sigh...I'll improvise, just make sure to proofread before you post next time Kilroy*
Gwen then looked over to Jameson. Seeing that her position was compromised before she even began, she decided to say forget it and throw caution how this would end was anybody's guess.
"I'm not here to apply for a job Mr. Jameson. I represent a very wealthy client who wishes to refer to herself as "The Queen in Yellow." As for said business proposition, she wishes to buy your paper. Her offer is 6.7 billion dollars, which according to her accountants is equal to the value of The New York Times. She is willing to do this transaction in any form you see fit, be it cold hard cash, precious metals, or however else you wish. additionally, she is willing to keep you on at a salary of 50 million dollars, provided you are willing to follow some conditions and be under some oversights."
Gwen took the briefcase from under the chair she was sitting in and placed it on a nearby table. Upon opening it she revealed the contents of the case therein...50 million dollars in cash. A bit of a nest egg she made for herself after her multiversal treasure hunt just prior to her reverse break-in at Fort Knox. "She wanted me to show you this, as proof of the legitimacy of her offer...your first-year's salary." Gwen quickly closed the case.
"...But don't think you can take this and run Mr. Jameson. If you want this, you'll have to meet with the Queen face to face. from there feel free to negotiate whatever...."

Officer Gray was busy with yet more paperwork, signing some mutants off for being finally registered and others adding to the files of not. Reports kept coming in of different sightings but there was one person she was determined to get back into the station to be questioned. The pink teen was still absent which was about right. The elusiveness of the girl was just as infuriating as a) not having a name for her b) the brightness of her pink outfit and c) always being one step behind. All the girl needed to do was just answer a few questions and get herself registered. Then she wouldn't have to keep her eyes out for her. That was when the list of sightings came to her desk marked as 'urgent' yet over 30 minutes after being printed. A sighting! She got out of her chair fast as she made her way down to her car. She hoped this time wouldn't end with a gun fight. Hopefully it will end in questions being answered. Off to the Bugle she was headed. The snap shot was of the girl in costume. Starting her car and she was off into heavy traffic! It was going to be one of those days.

OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE J. Jonah Jameson, Jr. was not a happy man. There was so much that went on around him that was idiotic and asinine. So, damn much. It's why he spent most of his time fraying his vocal cords whenever he spoke, and why he was on half a dozen different medications for his blood pressure.
Still, sometimes a thing reaches a level where it crosses the event horizon of stupid to become something of bliss. This would explain his response to Deadpool Girl carting out cash for a buy out that he had neither asked for or authorized with a five minute long laugh. "First, a resent the implication that I would steal a suitcase full of money. I'm not some idiot in spandex. I WORK FOR A LIVING AND DON'T RELY ON OPPROTUNISM AND THEVIERY TO GET BY!"
"Second, you're nearly as ridiculous as your father, kid!" Jameson joined the long list of people who presumed that Gwenpool was any sort of relation to the Merc with the Mouth. "One of the many, many things they teach your in journalism school is how to read a room, It helps with reporting, immensely. You get to your sources easier and are able to get out of bad situations as well. This, this right here, you in this moment, well, it's NOT READING THE BLASTED ROOM!"
"Your patron, so called, not only sends you out here to my office, a man noted for my loathing of idiots in stupid costumes in a costume, plus, instead of setting up this nonsense business meeting as Jane Smith, she sends her costumed representative to entice me with money, in all likelihood STOLEN, by the way, given the costume sets' propensity for THEFT that I already mentioned, using a name the Queen in Yellow! Is she going to come into a meeting dressed as a bee with a little crown on her head? DO YOU REALIZE THE LEVEL OF STUPID YOU ARE BRINGING INTO MY BUILDING?"
"Oh, and if her malignancy's next step is some sort of hostile takeover attempt, know that the list of fools who have tried and failed at that very blasted thing is longer than the list of people who have tried to bash your father's head in with a baseball bat because he doesn't know how to shut his blasted mouth!"
"So, this is my one and only offer. Listen closely, kid."

Inside Gwen was boiling mad. To call her a thief strike one,.to call deadpool her dad was strike two. to call her Deadpool-Girl AGAIN?!? *Gwen don't do anything crazy You can derail this whole thread. we both knew that the odds of you actually getting the Bugle were slim...* *Oh I don't care about that. I knew it was going to be a long shot, but I don't want to just walk out of here with my tail between my legs. That makes for a very anti-climatic thread.**Hmm... grins....Maybe it doesn't have to be...you probably won't get the bugle but...Didn't you want to break away from the whole Gwenpool thing....at least partially...also didn't we establish in "An Iron Encounter Part 2 that your portal gun can take you to an established point in time as well as other Universes? * *Yes...?**Just do what you do best, ok?* Gwen looked over to JJJ and took a deep breath....and smiled. "Tsk Tsk *sigh* A simple "no" would have sufficed. I figured that getting you to budge on the Bugle was slim, and I was willing to be ok with that...but to insult me...to call me a thief, and to compare me to Deadpool, if anyone is guilty at the moment of not being careful or how did you put it NOT READING THE ROOM...It is YOU monsieur Jameson. The voice that came out of Gwen's mouth on that last part (The part in yellow Text) sounded vaguely like Gwen's but also very different. It was spoken in a very posh very authentic French accent (While still being fluent in English) There was a flash of blinding light followed by a flash of yellow light. the Flash of yellow light appeared again, followed suddenly by a thick black mist that seemed to cover the whole building. the mist was so thick it made everything almost pitch black. Even the sun itself barely shined through the windows.
then through the black mist...a yellow portal opened up...then another and another and another.
THUMP!!! The sound of a drum echoed. The room soon filled with a dark almost Gregorian chant-like melody as hooded figures dressed in yellow cloaks stepped out of the portals. Their physical bodies were completely obscured by their cloaks, their faces obscured by white featureless mask.
Dominus-Magisterium: by Prometheus Studio
There were two rows of them. each row looked at the other none of them seemingly noticing the publisher of the bugle in question. they just continued thier eerie chant as if heralding something...or someone. Then...in one accord they bowed. She appeared. A figure in pure yellow gliding like the wind itself and appearing like a ghost.
"S̸̮͉̣̺̻̦̖̲̣͕̯̿͆̅̔̄̔̿̈́͒̾̀̉͘͜͠͝h̴̢̛̟̠̩̪̪̝̖̟́̈́̉͒͌͛͒͂͋̀̒̈́́̚e̴͓̓̉̈͂͗̏̈̔͛̈́̋́͘͘͝ ̸̲̠̪̭̬̜̳̔̅̍̊̔̀̔͂̔ͅc̴̙̹͆̈́̊͌͋̅͘̕̚o̷̢̨̦̹͈͍̻̣͖̙̩̙̱̲̥̹͍̅̾m̶̝̞̊̄̾͆̈̇̔́̈́͊̅̆̍̚̕͝e̶͈̯̝̩̊̓́̋́̀̋͒͌̆̀̋͌̆̕̕͝ś̷̡̢̗̟̜͖͙͔̙͎͘.̸̢̧̱̠̻̣̰̬̱̺̱͎̭̺͕͔̂̐̈́̌̐͑͆̀̀̋̀̕̚͠ͅ ̷̨̡͍̪̳̜͛́́̽̉̓̾Š̸̥͈̙͈̗̤̱̫͉͈̱̉͒̋̿́́̐͗̋̀̽̒͗͗̿̚h̸̛͈̗͍͚̤͕̻̥̣͎̐̃̿̎̿ͅȩ̴̨̢̟̲̤̯̯̳̺̝̤̲̥͎̹̿͑͜ ̸̢̜̗̺͉͎͓̙̼͈̄ͅc̸̨̨̡̝̞̳̠̣̠̀̔̍̾̆̋̄̅͒͑̌͒́͜͠o̵̜̥̅́̍̄̽͆̚m̸̡̧̲̱̯̥̱̬͓̦̅̒̽͋̕͜͝ê̷̱̓̒̄͂͐̂̕͝s̷̢̨̬͔̹̈́̃̌̐̒̂͂̐̆̓͠" there were whispers echoing in the room overtop of the chanting.
The Queen in Yellow had indeed come. Her form was completely obscured by her cloak though she seemed gigantic probably somewhere close to 8 ft tall. Admittedly this was very much Gwen, nothing about her form at this moment was supernatural. It was amazing what you could find while universe-hopping especially when you could travel back to a known point. Most of it was gadgets and such that made her appear realistically taller and allowed her to all but glide giving her the false apperince of being supernatural in this moment....Her new friends however were very much of supernatural origin and Jameson would be wise not to forcibly remove their masks unless he's prepared to see something he may not wish to see. How she got these gadgets and met these friends is a tale for another time (in a solo thread) The Queen herself meanwhile wasted no time lunging toward JJ coming at him like a ghost. the cloak covered her face as if it were a pure black void. When she spoke she still had that posh French accent, but something about it seemed...off...inhuman. "What was it you were saying about me dressing up as a bee with a stupid little crown on my head? I assure you monsieur Jameson I need not to wear a crown and I am...far...from...a bee. You may refer to me as Xastur, Xastur de Carcosa if you wish for a full name. But most simply refer to me as The Queen in Yellow. I chose that form you so insultingly compared to Deadpool because I thought you would react better to seeing a form your mind could comprehend before easing you into seeing the form you see before you. BUT, if you are so insistent on playing with fire...it would be wise to...not...get...burned. If you dare call me Deadpool Girl one more time I will open a portal and I WILL leave you to fend for yourself in one of the many darker earths in the multiverse. I hope that is understood." She leaned over him and gently stroked his face with what seemed to be a metallic-clawed hand. "Now...You wished to see me, so now I am here. What happens next is entirely up to you. Are we going to talk like civilized people and discuss business or, are you going to continue to insult me once more and perhaps insist I impale myself on Wolverine's claws next?" Kilroy in the meantime was sitting back wondering just where this would go. whatever came of this was quite an entrance and an introduction to one of Gwen's new personas. the fact that she was speaking to Jameson in such a tranquil manner as she made her admittedly dark threat kind of freaked him out *Note to self portal gun...always get a portal gun. Also not to self...don't do anything to get on Gwen Poole's bad side.*

OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE "WHAT KIND OF A BLASTED FOOL DO YOU TAKE ME FOR?""These sort of theatrics might work in the sticks, kid, but this is NEW YORK! Do you really think this second, no fifth! FIFTH-RATE Mysterio nonsense is going to scare me? He was doing this sort of pseudo magic since before you were born!"The intruder with all the theatrics insisted on emphasizing her name."You. Will. Call. Me. MISTER JAMESON!" "Listen to me, there is no business to discuss. You aren't the first person to come in here like a coward and demand anything of me, and you certainly won't be the last, and I am going to tell you exactly what I have told Spider-Man, Doc Ock, Carnage, Jack-O-Lantern, and dozens of others with more impressive showmanship than yours, I do not budge. I do not bend."
"You think I give a damn about money? Kingpin has enough to buy the city ten times over and his cronies have never been able to bribe me with one red cent. Do you know why, you thick-headed menace?"
"I have standards. I know that may be something hard for someone like you to comprehend, but there are lines. There are non-negotiables. I am not going to cowtow to anyone, especially someone who threatens me in my own office. In fact, lady, if anything, I'm more inclined to tell you where you can put your money because that's how the 4th ESTATE WORKS!"
"I am John Jonah Jameson, Jr. dammit! I speak truth to the powerful. I don't care what you are. I don't care how you threaten. Nothing will change. You won't get what you want.
SO GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!
I HAVE A PAPER TO RUN!"

Gwen or rather Xastur simply sat back unflinching and unmoved. Then her shoulders started to move as she let out a chuckle. "Well you did not refer to me as deadpool girl again so I won't throw you into an alternate universe. Honestly buying your paper wasn't my primary concern. Oh sure I thought it was worth a shot. My coffers are infinite so what was the harm in trying. The worst thing you could do was say no, and fyi in case you don't know French, monsieur DOES mean Mr. In french. so I have been calling you that. Now I know what your thinking. "IF this woman really doesin't care about buying my paper. Why is she waisting so much of my blasted time with this...FIFTH-RATE Mysterio nonsense as you so put it. The Answer is simply really Mister Jameson. I want you to start checking your facts Mr. Jameson about a certain masked hero before you start shooting at the hip with your headlines. You know of whom I speak. Not just Spider-Man but others too."She then started pacing or rather gliding around the room. "I don't get. You are a good journalist, you've uncovered scandals that most would not even dare touch. You've stood up to the likes of Fisk to protect Peter Parker of all people even when it'd benefited you nothing. Why is it I wonder does the subject of masked heroes prove to be such a blind spot with you. Why is it that you are willing to throw away your entire ethical code just to feed a very one-sided grudge?" She gave a sigh. "I think I know the answer or at least...part of the answer. I hope you realize that Spider-Man did not murder Joan...and trying to ruin his and others reputations will not bring her back from the grave. Nor erase the gunman that did kill her"Xastur hoped that if she calculated right mentioning Joan should get JJJ's attention, and not just a little. As Hardly anyone should have known about what happened that night. This was a gamble admittedly and probably a fruitless one but again just like with trying to buy the bugle she had nothing to lose, but in a way she and JJJ were not all that unalike. She like him wanted the truth.

Officer Grey couldn't believe her luck. It was DEFINITELY not a lucky day on her part! For Gwenpool it probably was. Getting to her car she had discovered that she had a flat tier and after changing vehicles she had discovered it needed more fuel. Heads were going to be yelled at when she got back. After refueling she was finally on her way. Sirens blaring only to get no further than half a block to find the street completely blocked by traffic!
Talking to dispatch didn't help her mood. It turns out that a group of Eco people had glued themselves to the tarmac and were currently being arrested and she hoped freed in no time at all. This was leaving her in a foul mood. To get twelve people off of the road and another twenty off of poles it was going to take time. Her priority had been reduced to the lowest level of priority given the current situation. Which meant she just had to stay put and turn her sirens off!
GREAT!

OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE "You don't get how this works do you? Even now, you don't get how this works. Coming in like this to what? Protect some masked fool who's too much of a coward to show their face? That's not how you do it because you have shown exactly what you, and by extension, they stand for. It's why I don't hire people I'm not absolutely sure have integrity." A short look at some of the folks he'd hired to get to Spider-Man over the years poked a small hole or five in that statement, but he continued.
"You do not get to speak my wife's name.", he said curtly.
"I've been through this a thousand times with people like you. This same line of argument. I have no grudge against Spider-Man. He's a menace on his own. He's a menace because there is absolutely no accountability for him, except through me. Why? I'll tell you. Because I show the world what he is. Let's pretend for a moment Spider-Man wasn't a low-life criminal. What could this so-called hero do to alleviate every ounce of animus I have toward unaccountable masked vigilantes? Register. Not difficult. Dozens of men and women, aliens and robots are registered. The government knows who they are and where they are, so if one of them, I don't know, throws a vehicle into a building during a fight, they can be held to account. It's why cops have internal affairs and why when even that doesn't work, there are mechanisms to clean up their departments. So, I will say again. I have a paper to run."Template adapted from Silv.

Xaster/Gwen was dead silent as JJ did his rant. In truth, she wanted to be enraged. She wanted to bang the table and tower over him, but A. That would not do any good and if anything would just prove JJ's point (Even though this was a paintless argument that didn't matter.) B she just felt resigned at this point. Part of her hoped that there was SOMETHING in JJ that was a decent person. But she couldn't see it especially as she thought more and more of some of the stuff he did in the comics, including commissioning the experiment that would create the Scorpion commissioned the Spider-Slayers. This wasn't "The journalist with the temper and personality of a 1980s police chief but deep down had a heart of gold" of the Rami-Verse This was a man who had blood on his hands albeit indirectly along the lines of Pre-Iron Man (and Perhaps Post Civil War???) Tony Stark and General Ross, but unlike Stark or Ross who actually WERE trying to protect the planet what was Jameson trying to do? To prove a point, and about what? How awful and dangerous superheroes are and how people need to be protected from them.
She began to laugh again "You know like I said earlier I originally decided to buy this paper because I was bored. I have near limitless wealth and nothing to do with it so I thought why not and if you said no then oh well it was worth a shot....and then you have the gall to paint yourself as some man who champions integrity and accountability, you the man worked with the likes of the Stillwell brothers, you the man who commissioned projects that created monsters in the city like Scorpion, the Spider-Slayers, the Human Fly, Monsters that have split pools of innocent blood, blood that is on YOUR hands. All for what? Is it really to prove how dangerous these superheroes you hate so much are...or is to prove your better than them?" *she sighed shook her head and then looked back at him. "You know what...I'm not going to let you get away with it. You've made an enemy Jonah, one that you don't even fully comprehend the measure of and it's not because you didn't sell frankly at this point your paper means little to me. No, you've made an enemy because you're an unrepentant hypocrite, fraud, and murder, and I will expose you and your dirty little secrets...EVERY...SINGLE...ONE and I will not rest until the world knows what sort of man you are and what you've done. I'll make sure that you spend the rest of your miserable life inside prison, and unlike everyone else you've dealt with, you're not going to be able to intimidate me, discredit me, or beat me in some kind of war of attrition. You will lose."
She then got up. "Enjoy your small victory while it lasts Jameson. you'll find it means nothing."
With that the hooded masked men disappeared in yellow flashes and the fog dissipated. Xaster got up and started to walk away.

Traffic was just AWFUL! Moving through it was a bit of a nightmare but there she was finally getting to the newspaper headquarters where the sighting of her pink 'friend' had been noted. At least this time she thought she might be just in time to catch her before the 'would-be' unregistered hero vanished again. It was odd as the pink girl was there sometimes but would vanish without being seen for months on end.
Pulling up her car she parked it in a good place which shouldn't mean explaining to anyone and would give her good access to the building as she exited.
The traffic had done nothing to quell her temper which had been boiling since she had left. If she missed this miscreant again she would just scream... most likely when she got home into a pillow. For now she headed to the front door of the Daily Bugle with thunder on her face.
Upon entering she spoke to the receptionist.
"A Pink costumed person has been reported to be here. I'm here to take her in for being unregistered."

J. Jonah Jameson, Jr. 📰 It was the same words with different letters. He always had people come with with threats and attempts at outblustering him. There would be one tomorrow and next week and the week after that, because nobody understood one simple fact: J. Jonah Jameson. Jr. could not be bought. He could not be pushed around. If he could, what would be the 4th Estate?
There was another call from his assistant. It was the busy life of an editor. There was a police officer here.
"Is this about the yellow suited idiot or the pink suited idiot? Also, who was it that contacted law enforcement? I ought to give them, well, probably not a raise but at least an attaboy. That should be enough for anyone really, you've done your duty and brought on someone who can handle it, you want more, go get the proper paperwork and training so you can capture the criminal yourself."

Gwen teleported and put back her Gwenpool costume on. She was entirely serious about exposing Jameson the thing about Gwendolyn Maxine Poole was that she didn't make threats, she made promises and she did know of the horrible things that Jameson had done thanks to her comic book knowledge. The problem was it wasn't as big of an advantage as one would think. Sure she knew all his dirty little secrets, but how would she prove it? "Your Honor I accuse Mr. J Jonah Jameson of funding illegal genetic experiments, crimes against humanity, and indirect murder. I read about it in a comic book." Yeah, not only would that NOT hold up in court. It'd likely get her sent to a nuthouse. Jameson know doubt knew it and Gwen knew it.
Then she heard that all too familiar voice.
Officer Gray was not really a threat to Gwenpool, she was technically a nemesis but more than anything she was a running gag. Grey would always try to hunt her down for not registering only to just miss her. Well this time things were going to be a bit different. If she was to expose JJ's crimes she was going to need to work with a policeman...or in this case a policewoman. Of course even if Grey were to be interested in busting a criminal and possible terrorist. she'd no doubt expect Gwen to register in return. Which at this point she was perfectly fine with. Talking with Tony and living in MHR-616 for a while now it was clear the SRA was a non-entity at this point. Tony really didn't give a squat about it...even Captain Marvel seemed to be toning down the police state crackdowns. Plus She had decided to do a little digging and managed to peak into the SRA database and both to and not to her surprise. The actual database had not been updated in years. So there was a more than good chance that even if she filed all the paperwork to register, it'd just disappear into the void anyway.
So she walked a little past Grey and grabbed her by the back of her shirt and attempted to walk them both to Gray's escort vehicle.
"You...me...car...now." was all she said as she attempted to drag the officer back to her car.

Officer Grey spoke in an annoyed tone.
"The pink one ... wait there's a yellow one here too!?!?"
Oh her life was getting more complicated. One thing at a time, just do one thing at a time.
"A Sam Jock reported her to be here..."
Then to her amazement and a sharp.
"HAY!"
at Gwen she turned and then tried to bend Gwen's arms behind her back.
"Your under-arrest for failing to register, running from an police officer, breaking into a police station, breaking out of a police station and generally causing problems. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions. You have the right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering at any time. Do you underatand? We are going to the car once the cuffs are on. Come quietly or I will be obliged to use force!"
