Ruby Thursday was a thoroughly insane. She had, decades ago, removed her own head and replaced it with a small crimson sphere. That feat was not the source of her madness, however. She believed that this aesthetic was one that would be preferred by every person on the planet. Sure, they'd fight it at first, but once their heads were replaced by techno-organic malleable orbs, they would appreciate all that Doctor Thursday Rubinstein had done for them. Again, thoroughly insane.
Her plan today was a big one. Taking a cue from Madison Avenue, she decided to advertise to the city and to the world what a better life would be. She had set up devices across the city. There was one near the monuments to Joan of Arc, José de San Martín, and William Tecumseh Sherman, and there was one for the Atlas Sculpture. She was personally at the big one, the Statue of Liberty.
The devices, a trio of small free-floating plus-shaped silver robots for now were just coursing with ruby red energy. They had to charge up. They always had to charge up. But soon, very soon, her cranial superiority would be demonstrated to all!
