Casket of Ancient Winters

massive snowstorms if opened. The hand size Casket of Ancient Winter contained the fury of a thousand killing winters. Could possibly start a new Ice age. It was lost in a different dimension and now it resurfaced.

Basically a multi dimensional being brought this back to earth and many bad guys are trying to acquire it. We can build the sl from here on. Would like to do a sl. I need a powerful being who would be interested in this. Possible different sl involved just brainstorming. If you would like to be involved leave a comment along with a brief statement of your stake on this. Need to get it approved by staff also. Looking for other ideas also.

I'd say get admin permission first, then worry about coming up with a storyline for this and/or participants. I'd think Loki would be all over it, but again, it's all moot without admin approval first.

They said there looking it over. Thinking about different approach to this looking for people who want to help drive this sl. So it won't be mine but multiple people. Yes ,I have ideas but I try to do too much at once. Thinking about having at least two other writers help me with this.

The catch 22 is if you throw everything into it and the kitchen sink, it sets a tone that's unwieldy at best. The X-Men pool party was gradually moving but it seems like you kind'a jumped away from it when Rook failed to respond after about 3 weeks and it went from the pool, to the danger room to evidently moving into the mansion, so it's a'lil all over the place. (Hence why I've had no real clue where or what to post in there myself.)

It seems like it was too low key so you've opted for the Danger Room alternate thread where everything and the kitchen sink is back in the running. Conflict is great, but it is pointless if it's not going anywhere. It's too Michael Bay explosions Explosions EXPLOSIONS!!! Ultimately, sans any story or depth, that becomes the rough equivalent of same'ol'same'ol. Just an observation. Take it or leave it, your call.

Honestly, I was ready to leave. Did the dangeroom cause I needed something to do. If everything works out the malfunctioning danger room will lead to something. Not trying to rush anything anymore just going with the flow. The Xmen party I'm still working on it moved it to the inside and gave a excuse for the non showing up main characters. Speaking of which not trying to start something but come on the main characters that are supposed to be active have been non existent since I have joined.

It would be nice for people to help me brainstorm. Yes, we have apocalypse coming soon possible dawn of apocalypse. Seriously seems like we have more made up characters then cannon. I would like to see more main characters. Examples Spiderman, Wolverine, Magneto, any number of the Xmen, and The Avengers who I saw are ready to go.

Made Juggernaut cause they said he was needed now I have no idea what for. The only team is Hellfire that I know of. Not sure what dan had planned to use him with dr doom.

This new sl will give a chance for a cross the board sl until we all can get this site going full steam. We don't have to follow the comics. Looking for others to help me do this have plenty of ideas just not sure how to implement this if excepted. Honestly, I would rather have some one else that can run this.

The idea has been discussed among staff, but without a viable plot leader or any plan whatsoever behind it, we are disinclined to approve the idea at this time. If Lee or another member is interested in being the plot leader of this idea, then there's a lot of brainstorming to do and a lot of plot preparations to write up before staff would be comfortable pre-approving it. However, just tossing out an idea without any back story or plan on how it might proceed is unlikely to ever catch any momentum, let alone gain approval from staff - especially when it is something that would undoubtedly affect the entire RPG universe.

We are working on getting the Apocalypse plot moving and will be more able to do that once we know who is yet active and what characters are in play (ie. once the Activity Check is complete). Now that I am also back, I plan to press the main site plot forward. SO there should be plenty about to pop around here. Let's put our energy into making those work and perhaps the RPG will come alive the way you hope it will!

I guess, I will have to make it something else unless Lee wants to do something with it can always make a new thread. Anyway thanks for giving me a answer. now I know what to do with my thread. Going to make the thread still that I made with a simple idea thread instead.

I think I already talked about this in cbox with Sid, just figured I'd respond here so it doesn't look like I'm ignoring this. In general, I'm very much like staff in that I don't like to just throw big powerhouse types or items into play without some backstory and buildup. Likewise, even if I were to decide oh yeah, great idea, Loki totally wants that Casket of Ancient Whoopa$$, it'd still need to go through staff and I'd have to have a 'balanced' ideally 'fun and enjoyable' storyline to go along with it, as opposed to just wanting to power up the char. Ideally, he'd also lose the Casket somewhere in the process... cause it's more fun that way imo.

So for now, I kind of suggested either some piece of tech or a priceless art piece or something. And I think Sid has settled on something else. So...

Is it okay if I join this thread?

Most of you probably know my character, especially Lee and Superchick. You are probably thinking that I am just joining this thread just because of Loki. Well, I am truly asking if I can join the thread to start role playing properly and be welcomed warmly to the realms of Marvel. Think of it as a warmup introduction. A prestart intro of my character to get into the events of meeting canons.

So is Loki going to be involved and can I please join the storyline?

Lochila 15... If we were to do this Lee would have to take the lead. Anyways found out it is better to message set up a thread so we are all on the same page . If Lee wants to do this we would all need to brainstorm this most likely. This could possibly be a site wide alternating storyline like super chick said. If Lee wants to we can go many ways from infinity stones to whatever we can think of. Could even connect it to my other once upon time having the sacred painting have a map to one of the stones. They wanted me to be more in depth so this is just a idea.

Yeah I'm not sure I see a good hook for the Casket of Ancient Winters being introduced, nor the Infinity Stones. That's a little abruptly over the top in relation to the Casket as an option. Even a stab at something as major as those would have to begin with a gradual build up to even find them and then try to acquire them one by one. Loki's not interested in making himself that big a spectacle at the moment. He very well might go after this or that magical artifact or doohickey-majorum but not those.

I'll fiddle with some concepts/ideas and post something up here when I've fleshed one out I think would be viable. Course I'll probably have to bounce the ideas off the mods first so... don't expect it to necessarily pop up in a day or two or anything.
