As a rough guide, below is some stuff to hopefully help everyone in the thread and answer a few questions I've seen.
What the Purifiers have done so far:
- Two helicopters have evacuated. Both carrying top members of the Purifiers and their best scientists. The second helicopter was also carrying Bastion.
- A third helicopter is about to land on the roof to collect more high ranking members.
- A fourth and final helicopter is inbound to arrive in a few minutes.
- A Sentinel is outside the front of the Facility, scanning the surrounding area for mutants. It hasn't found any yet but due to the fights currently beginning, it would be locating them extremely soon.
- A second Sentinel is scanning the Facility's ground floor on the front side. It also hasn't found any mutants but again, will probably be seeing those that are fighting in a few seconds time.
- The Facility is in Seige mode meaning that all members of staff (soldiers, scientists, janitors, office drones etc...) are armed and have gone to their designated positions. - - All civilians (so scientists, janitors, office drones etc...) are armed with Berreta 92 Steels. They have all had basic firearm training and none would be a poor shot but obviously at the end of the day, they are civilians that, although have been hand selected to work at the Facility and are trained, will still get nervous and not have the best aim.
- All soldiers are highly trained and specialise in mutant combat. They are all armed with a beretta 92fs as a sidearm. They all also have large knives strapped to the sides of their left legs and smoke grenades attached to the right side of their belts. Lots, but not all, also have cattle prods on their belt. Unless otherwise specified, all soldiers primary weapons are Sig 516 semi-automatic assault rifles. All of these guns have been modified to handle mutants. They all have armour piercing bullets and the rifles have scopes with slight tech upgrades designed with Bastion in mind as they highlight any mutated genetic material that enters their vision.
- There are at least 7 officers dotted around the Facility. The only ones that have so far been given a location are Vicki who is in the bunker on the first floor, Gareth who is with Doctor Cooper heading up the steps to the roof and Bradley (Sid has Eli Bard tell Bradley to send in troops but hasn't specified where Bradley is.) Harrison is the officer in the prison complex. As for the other three, they are dotted around the base and can be given a location by any writer who wants to combat one. They will be tougher than the other troops.
Also, the layout has been mentioned a few times in posts but has been slightly vague. Also, it would probably help if soldiers locations as of this moment were specified. If people wanted to read it all in one place, here it is:
On the Facility's ground floor, there is the main entrance leading into the main entrance hall. There were five soldiers in this room but they have been put out of action by Warp. Warp is currently still in this entrance hall. There are large bullet proof windows facing outside. Not much in here other than a very large reception desk made from stainless steel. If you enter the main entrance, the reception desk would be on the wall to your left. Currently, Susan the receptionist is cowering behind the desk. She has discarded her gun and is terrified. On your right, there is nothing except a lift going up to the next floor and a flight of stairs also going to the next floor. This lift is not secure and does not require any codes or otherwise to access. There is a hallway dead ahead from the main entrance that is quite long. There are rooms leading from either side. All of these rooms are offices. Currently, tables have been overturned and all the office workers are behind them, guns raised. At the end of the hallway, you can either go right or left. To the left is an equally long hallway, again with offices going down it all with the same inside. At the end of the hallway is a corner turning right where the hallway continues slightly to the back entrance. There are large windows down this hallway allowing slight vision above the base. There were two guards at this back entrance that are now out of action thanks to Logan. Logan has just turned the corner to confront two more soldiers. Five soldiers have just run into the building via the back entrance and are firing on Rogue and Wolfsbane. Rogue is hiding in one of the hallway's alcoves between the soldiers and Logan whilst Wolfsbane is now on the other side of the soldiers and has taken one out. A small four man hit squad is closing in on the back entrance armed with flame throwers. They are heading for Wolfsbane.
To the right however, is a hallway leading to a flight of stairs. At the bottom is a large sealed blast door that would require a keycode. On the other side is a large laboratory with many steel worktops covered in various bubbling vials and equipment. Many of these have been overturned and armed scientists are hiding behind them. There are 6 soldiers also in this room, one of which is armed with an rpg. At the other side of the laboratory is another sealed blast door needing a keycode. This has a small, round window in the centre (bullet proof glass) allowing anyone to see through. This door and the wall it is on, are made of a strange metal. (For those that would/could know, it is veeeery similar to what Magneto's helmet is made from.) It blocks all telepaths from sensing anything inside. Once the door is open however or the window broken or even the wall smashed down (which would take a hell of a long time), the effect is broken. Getting through this door would lead into the prison complex. (I'll explain the rest of the Facility before going on to the prison complex.)
Going back to the lift in the entrance hall or the stairs leading to the next floor. On this next floor, the lift opens up to a long corridor which the stairs also lead up to. Doors to various offices and labs are dotted down this corridor including the explosive ordinance department. They are all empty of any people. One of these doors is the staff room which is also empty except for a photocopier, an old sofa and a coffee machine. One of these offices belongs to Doctor Cooper's assistant. There is a desk, beside which is a shredder full of shredded paper. On the desk is a laptop that has been wiped clean.
Halfway down this corridor are the three robotic drones. They are 12 feet tall and heavily armed.
At the end of the corridor, usually is a security checkpoint which consists of a metal detector. Now, it has become a bunker. A large metal wall has been erected and is covered in holes for guns to be fired through. The commanding officer is Vicki who has no firearms but is a master of krav maga, dambe (bare knuckle fighting), subak and kapu kuialua. There are 11 soldiers under her command, behind the bunker (including Frank and Julie). The large machine gun in the bunker has been rendered useless by Warp. If anyone were to get past the bunker, they would come to the secure glass lift that grants access to the top floor.
On the top floor, the is a hallway straight ahead that leads to a library. There is one armed soldier in this hallway. There is also a hallway left which then turns right onto another hallway. Down this hallway, are the offices of Bastion, Doctor Cooper, Eli Bard and Risman. So far, only Bastion's and Doctor Coopers have been described.
Bastion's office is surprisingly small. There is a desk, beside which are the remains of a wooden chair and scorch marks on the carpet. There is a bookcase behind which is a hidden room where Bastion healed after Kurt's 'execution'. For those who manage/try to find it, it does contain lots of info on Bastion. Nothing else in the hidden room or office.
Doctor Cooper's office is another small room with a desk. The desk is covered in paperwork. A trash can is next to it containing useless rubbish and a coffee cup. There are two bookcases and again, one of the walls it a bullet proof window.
At the end of this Hallway is the choice to go right or left. Left leads to two conference rooms. One is small with a table and chairs whilst the other is a stately room dominated by a long table. There are chairs dotted around the table. One of the four walls is a large window looking out over the front entrance. There is also a large TV set that is sat switched off.
If you choose to go right, you have to get past two armed guards then climb a flight of stairs to get onto the roof where a helicopter is currently about to land. Doctor Cooper and her soldier Gareth are about to climb these stairs. There are also four snipers on the roof yet they will be temporarily pretty useless whilst the helicopter lands and takes off. There is also ventilation shaft access here.
The Prison Complex:
There are 30 floors of prison cells all piled on top of one another. They are connected by a series of metal walkways and stairs leading down to the next level. In total, there are seven soldiers patrolling the walkways. These can be spaced out however a writer wants when they encounter them. One of them is an officer named Harrison who, instead of a Sig rifle, is armed with a British type SA80 laser rifle. The cells are simple bars yet extremely strong. They can either be opened individually with the keys or, there is a security booth on the top of the 30 floors near to the sealed door leading in. There are two soldiers inside and the door requires a keycard to unlock. It also has a large bulletproof glass window. In the booth, there are the controls allowing all of the cells to be opened. At the bottom floor, where two other soldiers are patrolling, there is a corridor leading further down. On the walls of this dimly lit corridor, are a dozen or so magnetically sealed steel doors. This is where the stronger mutants or ones more likely to cause trouble are kept. They are all regularly dosed up with drugs that prevent them from using their powers. The effects of the drug can last up to a few hours depending on the strength or healing factor of the mutant. Here, mutants are kept one to each cell whilst on the 30 floors, there can be up to five in each. At the end of this dimly lit corridor is one magnetically sealed cell on it's own. This is where Nightcrawler is being kept. He is strapped to a bed with leather strips on his wrists, ankles and tail. He is attached to a drip giving him an unknown concoction. There is an armed soldier stationed outside Kurt's cell door.
On the top floor, Eli Bard has knocked out one soldier.
Outside the Facility, three highly trained mercs for hire head towards Deadpool's team.
Correct me if I'm wrong but no other mutants have posted that I haven't yet mentioned so we can assume they are still near the Blackbird unless otherwise stated.
Any questions, let me know.
