SUPERHEROES INVADE NEW YORK!

Nothing to fear, New Yorkers! The Avengers haven't gone rogue nor has the mutant menace decided to enslave mankind!
The superheroes invading the Big Apple this weekend are strictly of the fictional kind. The 10th Annual New York Comic Con once again returns for the weekend. The nation's largest comic book convention is set to take over the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Convention Director, Melissa Bradley, is expecting a record attendance of 150,000 comic book fanatics and cosplayers over the three day event.
Increasing the buzz this year is the first ever public unveiling of the newly discovered Shadowhawk #1, supposedly the first comic book in creation. When asked about the effect of this newly uncovered goldmine, Ms. Bradley responds, "Of course the presentation of Shadowhawk #1 has a huge impact on the convention this year but our attendees are a very devoted and enthusiastic collection and they continue to be excited each and every year the Comic Con is held."
Diplomatic words, Ms. Bradley, but the inaugural showing of the first ever issue of Shadowhawk can't help but have a major impact on the attention focused on the Comic Con this weekend. At the very least, the issue, appraised by Sothesby's at $25 million, will certainly garner the attention of every supervillain in the New York area, haha! When asked about the measures in place to protect the comic book and the unconfirmed rumor that notorious mercenary Silver Sable and her Wild Pack have been hired to head security, Ms. Bradley declined to comment.
Further fireworks will be created by the first appearance together in more than 25 years of Shadowhawk TV stars Aidan Best and Rick Williams. For those that have been living on a desert island, these two drama queens had a major falling out over who was responsible for the success of the show. Have these two kissed and made up or can we expect a major catfight? This reporter has her money on the later!
For those still not living in their mother's basement, the Comic Con also has slated an exclusive sneak peek of next summer's biggest blockbuster film! Despite this reporter's best effects, everything's hush-hush and top secret. Even film star, local girl Mary Jane Watson-Parker isn't talking! But then again, word has it that Mary Jane was hired only because Scarlett Johansson turned down the part. Hey Mary Jane, just remember, if this movie flops, it's back to the soaps for you!
