Daredevil, not fooled by Hawkeye's tone of implicating what was really in the bag, picks it up and tosses it at him, knowing the Avenger's reflexes would be more than enough to catch it and not spill its contents. "You really think I would carry a burner phone for the local pizza guy, hotshot?" he asked dryly, confirming his suspicion that the Avengers clearly didn't know about the Night Nurses of New York. Disappointing. And unfortunate. He then hears a TV in the building tuned into the local news channel cutting to live footage of Norman Osborn's presidential rally. Shit. Peter asked for as many hands on deck as possible if, and probably when, things go awry. Even at his top speed it would take an hour to get there this far south. Even then, there was a chance their actions might not be needed, and he had to keep his senses focused on the travel to get there. "We have to go," said Daredevil, and turned to leave. He heard the Avenger make some sort of protest, but he simply turned back, not scared or impressed with his peer's credentials. "Now," he said menacingly, and crawled back out the window firing his cable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luke, along with Jessica, are given a berth in the crowd, but not one large enough to draw suspicion. They watched Osborn take the stage and begin speaking out. Man, this dude was even more oily than Donald Trump, he thought. The two wore pairs of sunglasses and kept their clothes dressed down (though Jess was wearing her white armored costume underneath her jeans and shirt,) "You see anything?" he asked Jess, though he was also speaking into a comm that linked up with Danny as well as Spider-Man. He looked around and saw no sign of Daredevil. That was strange given the webhead's word that the Man Without Fear would be there to help. Instead, however, he saw Fancy Dan and Montana of the Enforcers. What were they doing there? Didn't Spidey put them away? He turns and sees men he knew straight away as working for the Hood, including the big dumbass he knew as Braum who served as the muscle. They stood there for a few moments to allow for Osborn to have his speech and just when it looked like it concluded, began to move towards the stage casually. However not casually enough. He saw Fancy Dan pull a gun. "JESS!" he cried and pulled her towards the brawl that was about to explode in their faces. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Elektra waited until Matthew and the archer had left until she struck. She waited a little longer until she knew for sure her visions did not end with Daredevil returning to help the SHIELD agent. She made the leap and crashed through the window and fired a shuriken across the way to the downed SHIELD agent. "One down, one to - -" she turns. Ah f**k...

Norman walked onto the stage with classical music playing In the background three of the secret service agents were missing. He stood at the podium as the people cheered for him. He had paid some professional crowd people to get the crowd riled up. His credible threat level was at 90% according to the security. With only a few thunderbolts in the crowd, he has understaffed the crowd was way beyond fire code. Wearing his armor underneath his suit he was poised to speak with a slight laugh he then begins.
"How is everyone in New York today? I believe everyone deserves a second chance no matter what the circumstances look at one of my Competitors bankruptcy four times well that is not a good example... Hahaha. Let's take the thunderbolts reformed villains working to protect your city against the criminal element. I love you also random citizen. ' Dearly beloved, we are gathered today to get through this thing called life, cause in this life things are much harder than the afterworld, in this life you're on your own' Prince once said that years ago it still resonates with me and all of you. Do you want the world where your not living paycheck to paycheck any more education and healthcare for free? Hahaha...Of course, you do..."
About a half hour later:
" My good friend Mr. Li is here today. Right over there. A great contributor to the community he has requested we put out a word or two for him. I vow that I will put together some resources to help find May Parker she has been missing since I was attacked by the evil Hydra agents two days ago.. F.e.a.s.t is an amazing place free health care and food for mostly homeless and the underprivileged...(From his far right people began to act up. Chanting and heckling that Norman is a murder can be heard.) With Mr. Li's help, we will put one of these in each city throughout the US. And you thought this was going to be a boring rally, security get that section of people out of here."
Cheering could be heard almost deafening. The situation was getting out of hand a man rushes the stage with a knife. Norman dodges it with a side step then knocks the man with a leg sweep to the ground then knocking him out with a quick punch to his head.

“Hey don’t look at me!” the wall-crawler protested. “I didn’t create him! I ordered the equally spooky but less dangerous version of Elf on the Shelf and Gobby is what Supervillains-R-Us sent me!”
He considered what the winged X-Man had said and nodded. “Most likely. Knowing Osborn he purposefully came with less protection to make the inevitable attack look good. Or he’s crazy enough that he just doesn’t care because he knows he can take them out, but knows he won’t have to because of us. But hey, Brightside! If I’m seen saving him, the Bugle will have me in cahoots with him before the sun goes down. Let’s see his approval ratings when the headlines read ‘Web of Deceit: Spider-Menace in league with Osborn to steal the White House!’ or something of the like.”Before he could say more he heard Luke’s question. “Pardon the pun, but that is a Negative…say shouldn’t we be using codenames if we are on com units? What would yours be anyway? Cue-Ball? Tiny for the irony? Ooh! I got it! T-Man! Cause you know, the tiara?” “I’m on the opposite side of the crowd,” Danny reported. “Negative’s men are still in sight, but with those masks they can’t get close without drawing attention.”
Spidey was thinking of a quip along the lines of the guys being so ugly they may draw more attention without the masks, when Cage declared the sighting of a gun. “Looks like it is game time…” he was cut off. Danny’s com was on and more sensitive than the others apparently because he heard part of Norman’s speech. Aunt May? She’s missing? he honestly hadn’t known. Between villains crawling out the woodwork, a gang war brewing, and dealing with the knowledge that he was going to or had the potential to go full on Vader in the near future he hadn’t gotten around to seeing her. And of course MJ had thought she had a stalker… “This is so not going to get him elected because I am going to break his neck myself if he’s done anything to her!” Spider-Man declared as he swung off towards the rally. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Danny too was in motion, taking down two additional gunmen including one with a high-powered rifle. With it he could have taken Osborn down without ever getting close to the man. Instead he received a powerful jump kick to the face, the bone shattering blow causing him to fall limp to the ground, his gun clattering after him. He stopped for a moment to offer a smile and wink to a young brunette holding a pro-Osborn sign. Sure, she was a Osborn supporter, but she was still cute. “Danger of politics,” he offered as he scanned the area for more goons, regardless of who they worked for.

As Hawkeye unzipped the duffel bag, removing its contents, he rolled his eyes at Daredevil's smart remark. "If only it was the pizza guy. I'm starved." He held in his hands a tight-fitting, sleeveless shirt, lined with purple and padded in all the right areas to offer at least some protection. He then pulled out a pair of gloves, boots, and pants, all made in the same manner. Clint smirked down at the outfit. His signature S.H.I.E.L.D attire... Not only did he prefer this to his Avengers costume due to the increased armor, but it also made him look less like a blueberry/grape Robin Hood. He left into Daisy's bathroom to make the switch, coming out moments later dressed in the new attire. He stretched both of his arms, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a pair of purple shades. Unfolding them and putting them over his eyes, he turned to a nearby mirror and gave a cocky grin. Again, classic Clint. His little self-admiration session was interrupted by the sound of Daredevil's voice. They had to go... Where, exactly? He was up for helping out in any way that he could, but he was never informed that they had some urgent operation today. He looked at Daisy, noticeably nervous about leaving her on her own. "Hey, Hornhead, I'm really sorry to break it to you, but she's a little wounded right now and I don't think it would be a very good idea to-" His words were cut-off by Daredevil's resounding reply. "Now."Hawkeye sighed, glancing at her one last time as Daredevil took off from the window, doing his little cable thing. He quickly snapped back to reality, approaching the same window and drawing back a type of grappling-hook arrow on his bow. Letting it fly, he waited until it impaled a nearby building before grabbing onto the wire and zipping up towards the distant rooftop. He then ran after the Man Without Fear, doing his best to keep up.

Norman Osborn
Things were getting chaotic as some of the hoods men rushed in the auditorium and about five headed for the stage. Norman points towards some babies and children, he jumped over a hood thug and went to save the kids. He quickly had two of the secret service agents help him. They went and grabbed the kids and escorted the moms also out of the room two hood thugs with m4's stood in front of them then shot two bullets hit a kid in the arm and the leg. Norman sat the kid down and went crazy. He lifted a table up and ran the two guys into the wall. He then begun to beat both of the thugs down smashing there skulls in. He quickly headed back covered in blood. "We need to get them out of here now this is to dangerous. She needs medical attention...( He rips his shirt that is still clean up to wrap up the wounds.)... Where are the heroes they should have been here from the get go?" He moves quickly with the injured girl... they make it out the building, cars are crashing and two of Mr. Negatives men are quickly approaching. He sets the girl in another secret service agent hands. He points to his limo. " Get them out of here...(He points to his campaign manager.)... Your fired get out of my face. This is all your fought." ["Norman, look what happened here. The heroes failed you and the people. They should pay for this that girl is bleeding bad and all hell has broken loose."] His Campaign manager yells, "You can't fire me, Justin Hammer will be very angry about this. Your going back in are you crazy?"Norman faces the Inner demons still covered in crimson blood he points at them as they approach. Norman runs up and tackles two of the Inner demons get up quickly then heads back inside. "Hahaha...Yes, I am." He runs back inside unaware that a semi out of control hits two cars sending them barreling at the children.

"Alright, now look what you've gone and done... I'm gonna have to re-stitch that. Just... Stop standing and moving around. It's like you're begging to bleed out."Quake was lying on the couch as instructed by Hawkey, but the last thing on her mind, was taking it easy. Her wound would heal in due time and she was not going to bleed out. As human as Quake looked, she was not human. As a result her strengthen and body’s tolerance of pain and extreme circumstances was higher then mosts. Quake was pondering just who it was that DareDevil had called, she had heard rumors of person taking care of people in an underground hospital sort of way. As if Hawkeye had read her mind he addressed Daredevil. "So... That woman on the phone. She trustworthy?"Just as Quake was about to ask the same question Hawkeye thrusted an arrow in her general direction and started to perform first aid on her wound. "Here... Bite down on this. Trust me... You'll be glad you did. This is gonna sting."This was not the first time her wounds had ever been field dressed or she had experienced the pain of stiches without anything to numb the pain. She did as she was told, the thought of screaming on in pain or losing control of her ability and destroying the building was all too real for Quake in the moment as Hawkeye stitched up her wounds. She used deep meditation techniques to picture she was somewhere else as the needle made its way through her flesh, like a tiny piercing knife. Once the moment was over Hawkeye spoke to Quake again. "Do yourself a favor and stay like that for a little while, alright?" The thought of moving, not really an option for her as Hawkeye winked. He was not wrong if she moved again the reality of her breaking open her wound as all to real of a risk. Daredevil spoke as Quake thought about the booze in her kitchen and how she could use a drink to numb the pain. "You really think I would carry a burner phone for the local pizza guy, hotshot? Her voice was a clear as day before DareDevil could say anything more. “You called someone trustworthy, I have heard rumors of a woman who helped out those in trouble in the kitchen.” Hawkeye chimed in with his typical quirps and Quake couldn’t help, but appreciate his sarcasim in the moment. “If only it was the pizza guy. I'm starved."He wasn’t wrong pizza did seem like a good idea, she thought to herself as DareDevil tossed Hawkeye his bag. As the bag was caught Hawkeye opened it and started to suit up in his Avengers attire. Quake, could appreciate the uniform, when she was not undercover she had a uniform of her own. Suddenly DareDevil made his way to the window and spoke. "We have to go, Now,"With those words DareDevil vanished out the window, leaving just Hawkeye and Quake in the apartment. She heard Hawkeyes protest, but it was of no use. "Hey, Hornhead, I'm really sorry to break it to you, but she's a little wounded right now and I don't think it would be a very good idea to-"Hawkeye left the apartment as well. Within moment of Hawkeye and DareDevil leaving a CRASH of glass was heard and woman, that Quake immediately identified as Elektra came into the apartment. Quake moved with lightning speed and narrowly dodged the weapon that was thrown in her direction. Her eyes narrowed, as Quake was not croutched down and ready to pounce on Elektra. "One down, one to - -f**k”The weapon was now returned to the direction of Elektra, fully prepared to injur Elektra. Quake focused on her ability forcing the air currents around Elektra to hold her in place as she spoke to Elektra. “What the hell do you want with me?”

Daredevil was hauling as fast as his body could carry him and he still felt like he was moving far too slowly. He stopped paying attention to whether or not Hawkeye was following him a few blocks back, but he wouldn't be surprised if he kept pace. He considered for a moment calling Peter, but then again how often did either of them really answer their phones in the middle of the fight? Oh wait, he thought and almost stopped on the spot to reach for his phone, but resisted. No, even calling Peter would slow him down immensely and he needed both of his hands. And so he kept on charging, diving off the rooftop and orbiting around the water tower on his billy club to change direction and head Northeast. Over the noise of New York, he could not sense or hear anything out of place, even by this early spring standards with the escalation. But he hoped for the best, and began to prepare his mind for the worst... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, Cage grabbed Jessica and spun like a top, using her super strong legs as a buzzsaw to clear them a path to Braum, who was currently in a knife fight with one of the Enforcers. They barraged their way in and Braum was taken aback. "Braum," said Luke simply. "Cage," he replied, inferring a history between them only the two of them knew about. "Are we going to talk, or fight this time?" he asked. "Personally, we only wanted to talk. Some idiot went in with a knife," Cage felt a guy try to stab him from behind, but the knife shattered on impact. He sighed and backhanded the poor guy, knocking him out. He watched Jessica take off, where he did not know, but he kept his eye open for Danny and saw the webhead make his way towards Osborn. Fancy Dan got up between them. "Bullshit! Hood could've dealt with Osborn privately, not here!" he said and the two began to fight again. Braum was about as big as Luke himself and almost as strong, so watching the two go at it was almost comical, but that would only draw more Enforcers. "Sorry Braum, have to do this," said Cage and uppercutted the Hood's second, launching him a good twenty feet in the air. He was tough enough to tank that, but he would be dazed. Maybe Danny or Spidey would go easy on him and just give him the quick one shot. Braum wasn't really a murderer despite his various crimes, and Luke did have a degree of respect for the man. Just a degree. He turned on Fancy Dan, who backed up into Ox. He saw Cage and cracked his knuckles. "Where's your buddy, "Power Man", too busy eating chinese?" said Ox. Ox was not very smart to begin with, but even that comment induced a groan. "Fancy entrance," Luke muttered into his comm, knowing Danny wasn't far behind and likely could just spin kick the idiot before he even got a chance to react to Luke, who bashed his knuckles together and charged. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elektra was taken aback. So, this one was enhanced. No matter. She felt her grip slacken slightly as she spoke, which bought her time to cast illusion magicks. To her opponent, it appeared as if she just multiplied a dozen times over. Shadow clones. They were useful. She couldn't react to all of them, and then Elektra felt the grip slacken entirely and heard bullets fly, ricocheting in this tiny apartment. She allowed instinct to take over and began dodging the gunfire and gave the woman a sharp kick in the gut. It was like kicking a wall. What the hell was she made of!? She shrugged it off and got locked in a struggle with the agent. "You my dear, are a problem, the kind of problem I have to deal with," she said, mocking Nick Fury's own words, but with enough bite that she was not fooling around. She let a sai slip and she used it to impale the agent, with difficulty, at the stitched wounds, reopening them with gusto. "All the same to you though, it's nothing personal. But I will spare you the cliche," she said and charged in with her other sai, murder in her eyes.

Warren laughed at Spider's false-optimism. His humor was certainly appreciated under such circumstances; but then, that's what the Webhead was known for. Still, it did bring out the question: How would the media react to an event? Whatever they said, the people would clamor for. If Osborn was painted in a bad light, as Spidey suggested (albeit in as humored of a way possible), then his political career would be over before it began. But, if the opposite happened... A shudder wracked through his spine on merely thinking of the tyranny that would follow.
In addition to the coming turn of events drastically influencing the future as they all knew it, it also became apparent that the costumed vigilante was conversing with more than just Warren. It was basically advertised when he shifted topics entirely, answering a question in his typical joke-laced way. The winged mutant didn't interject, remaining silent, preferring instead to tune in to Osborn's speech. Though there was a distance between them, Warren's keen ears picked up every word (his were not as powerful as Daredevil's, yet they were proficient for their purpose).
He could see why some people hated political races, yet Warren was patient. It made for a decent study, at any rate.
Finally, several minutes later (he had lost track of time long before then), the glorified begging for votes came to an end - and in as chaotic way possible. It was clear to all onlookers that something foul, planned or otherwise, was about to occur; a group of thugs armed with guns and weapons marching for the stage. Half of Warren thought to leave them be, but then the other, disgusted with the first, thought of keeping the crowd safe from harm. Spider-man leaped into action before he did. Warren quirked a brow at his remark, oddly lacking any humor, making note of his reference of 'her'. Moments before, Norman Osborn had mentioned a May Parker - was there a connection there?
It didn't matter. There were far more important things to be doing than snooping into masked-acquaintances' personal lives. Warren watched for a moment longer, noting Luke Cage and Iron Fist (and Jessica Jones, although he didn't spot her specifically) were already in the crowd; he saw the governor-to-be escort a pair of children and their mothers to getaway cars. An oddly heroic act for someone so openly villainous, but Warren was distracted further by the accident. One truck, and two cars; they were on a straight course for the kids below.
Instincts kicked in. His wings surged as he soared towards them, like a hawk with talons extended towards an unsuspecting mouse. He landed next to them, briefly wrapping his long, powerful wings around them like a cocoon. Then he snarled, and his wings spread fiercely, slamming into the vehicles and sending them careening over himself (kids, moms, and secret service officers included) and landing harshly on the street beyond. A quick look over of his rescuees later, and he darted over to the collapsed cars, wrenched the doors free, and pulled the comatose and injured drivers out of the wreckage (one at a time, of course). They were laid on the sidewalk gently. He looked towards the officers nearby. "Tend to them." he ordered, before taking off again.
Was that an accident, or was it intentional? He eyed the semi suspiciously. One couldn't be too sure. But the driver of that truck hadn't left the vehicle (it had smashed into a nearby streetlight), and so Warren moved on. Whether intentional or not, the driver had paid their dues.
He flew back towards the brawl. Below, Luke Cage was confronting the Enforcers (or, two of them at any rate), and it seemed Iron Fist was moving to help. Spiderman was going after Osborn, and Warren was not keen on stopping him. The Goblin was his villain. There were the Inner Demons with their masks, but Negative himself was, thus far, nowhere to be seen. But they had all forgotten about Montana, who was preparing to lasso (literally) a group of frightened stiff innocent onlookers caught in the crossfire, likely to hold them hostage. There, Angel would interfere.
"I'm afraid Cowboys are out of season this time of year." He started, as much to taunt the man as to draw his attention. It did both.
"Ya' ain't one to talk pretty-boy!" He growled as the lasso went flying, snatching Angel on the wrist. But the blond-mutant only snorted, knowing all too well how big of a mistake that really was. Angel grabbed hold of the rope with his free hand and gave it a tug, moving just fast enough to launch Montana towards him. After that, he was smashed against the ground, courtesy of a very powerful wing. He wasn't unconscious yet, but he was dazed. Warren used the opportunity to loosen the lasso's knot.
"Oh ye, of little faith..."

Post by Rift on Jun 13, 2016 22:18:23 GMT -7
As he swung into the middle of the action, Spider-Man was turned towards to the out of control cars expecting to have to try a web shield to slow their momentum, but was relieved to see that Warren was already on top of it, swooping in like a literal Guardian Angel. Spidey took a moment to flash him a thumbs up and went on his way. A webline from each hand sent him zipping overhead in an aerial display of acrobatics that had anyone had to chance to capture would have gone viral within hours of popping up on social media. As he flipped overhead he noticed Braum and fired off a pair of impact webbing shots that rapidly expanded as they hit the man, pinning him to the ground. It should have been enough to keep him out of action for a little bit. Taking the time to land up high, he quickly webbed his camera in place and set the timer. If Osborn is going to benefit from having us save his worthless hide, I may as well get paid for the pics, he thought. Back into the fray he leapt between two of Negative's Inner Demons, delivering a split kick to the their faces hard enough to crack the masks. It wasn't like Norman or anyone else was in immediate danger of being attacked by the two, but it helped him take his mind off the damage he'd like to be dealing out the the Goblin himself. With that minor obstacle dealt with he headed directly for Osborn, scanning the crowd now and again to see if he could spot Negative. The two of them were going to have a heart to heart one day soon that the walking photo manipulation program was not going to like. In short order he was close enough to Norman Osborn to have spit on him, something he might have actually done had he not been wearing a mask. "Heya Gobby! Long time no villainous monologue." he announced loudly. "Looks like these boys like you about as much as I do. So what gives? Not willing to earmark anything for your supervillain pals? Can't secure the spandex vote because they remember purple socks go on the feet and not the head?"
--------------------------------------------------------- As if summoned by the mere mention of his name Danny arrived just in time to deliver a powerful leaping kick to Ox, his foot catching the mountain of a man directly in the chin, the resulting crack loud enough to hear over the chaos of the crowd. Rather than act as if anything had just happened, he simply smiled at Jessica and Luke, his posture laid back and relax. "Hey guys, nice to see the political process at work isn't it?"That was when he noticed Warren handling the all but forgotten about Montana. "Many thanks friend," he called to him. "Wasn't much into seeing a rodeo today anyhow."Eyeing a few of Mr. Negative's goons he smiled widely. "I was thinking more along the lines of, say, a Kung Fu flick. So Jess, Luke, anybody see the boss man of these B-movie rejects? I'd like to have a word."

Norman Osborn
Things are changing fast Norman was almost losing control as the serum in his veins rushed like adrenaline causing the veins into constrict and stick out in a greenish color. He started hearing a crackling cry in his head. If he fails here, then he almost loses his chances to become president. Norman receives a text from Bullseye they located May Parker and rescued her from Negatives low-level flunkies. So Aunt May is free now would have been a concern for Norman cause Spiderman is quite attached to her. On a tv nearby shows the Thunderbolts rescuing May then back to the rally.
Norman ran in passed a few who were escaping when he arrived inside the gang members had killed a few people. "Hahaha... get out now."Norman was about to completely lose his composure. The gang members were about to kill more people when Norman dove in front of the many bullets saving a couple college students as he fell to the ground in pain but his armor protected him only a few were serious . The gunmen were approaching others who ran in the door and past Norman. He jumped on top of three of the gang members taking them out by breaking their necks he was about to go help more people when his enemy was right behind him. Norman turned with anger and disdain for the Spider-Man. There was a camera sideways on the ground left on record.
Where were you? You... you of all people, because of you. The man at the newspaper was right your reckless, and immature everything is a joke...(Norman spits outs some blood as they are now surrounded by gunmen)... Great now what are we going to do?" The gunmen had almost surrounded them and Norman blamed Spider-Man for this, they had a small room to their left they could jump in other than that did not look good. Two of the inner demon walked in the entrance down the hall.

"You my dear, are a problem, the kind of problem I have to deal with, All the same to you though, it's nothing personal. But I will spare you the cliche," Quake felt the force of the fight between the woman and herself, this was Elektra Quake had heard of her before and knew about her abilities with Magic, after all she was a level 10 S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent. In the moment of attack, something changed within Quake. Her inhuman side took over. Her stature changed from the civilianesque look she had taken on to a harden warrior. The Sai’s injured her body but it was as if she had never been struck. Her inhuman healing combined with her inhuman strengthen took over. She focused n Elektra, no words were exchanged a simple fierceness in her eyes. As the wound bled out, Quake raised up her hands, successfully shattering the glass windows all around her. The force of her ability now aimed solely on Elektra. She screamed out loudly her teeth gritted as the energy left her hands and threw Elektra out of the window from which she had arrived. Quake’s killer instinct was in full effect now as she leapt from the window after Elektra. To anyone else they would have been seriously injured form the jump, but Quake used her abilities to create a barrier between her self and the ground, which took most of the energy out of the impact of the fall. She looked at the location where Elektra should have landed only to find an impression of a body in the bricks and no Elektra. Quake did everything in her power to keep herself standing, but the injuries and the energy she had just expanded was too much for her body. Quake's side was bleeding profusely, not to mention the other injuries she had endured from the body blows. She held her side as the crimson spilled between her finger tips. She had no way of calling for help, the world went fuzzy and started to spin faster. Quake was forced to her knees. She held on to her life by a thread now, trying desperately to just get back to her apartment. Her body was losing strengthen from her injuries, but Quake did not pay them mind, maybe Hawkeye was right she did had a death wish, but this was a battle she couldn’t afford to lose. He crawled on hands and feet back to her apartment building, every movement a bit more challenging. As she finally made it to a fright elevator, she got inside and mad her way up to her apartment. Quake was no longer able to stand as she reached the door to her apartment with bloody finger tips opened the door, leaving a trail of blood behind her as she crawled into her apartment and barely closed the door behind her. Quake laid on the floor, trying desperately to get to her first aid supplies, leaving the door unlocked. She lost her battle to stay awake and fell to the world of darkness as the crimson formed a pool around her.

The address that Daredevil had provided had thankfully not been too far a drive from Night Nurse's clinic in Chinatown, though that damn political rally of Norman Osbourne's had snarled up traffic something fierce. The roads had been closed off for several blocks, and Linda couldn't help but grit her teeth together with a bitter harrumph as several cars and delivery trucks in front and in back of her blared their horns out impatiently. “Come on...come on! I don't have time for this!” The line of vehicles just heading to the next streetlight was practically at a standstill, and Linda let out an angered groan, pulling her car to the side of the curb, right in front of a rather large truck that was illegally idling against the yellow lines, waiting for his partner to return from the stop's delivery. “The f**k you doin' lady?!” the driver screamed out the window, as Night Nurse hopped out of the car and grabbed her med supplies from the passenger seat as quickly as she was able to. “Go to hell, asshole!” she snapped right back over her shoulder, like a proper New Yorker, running towards the location of her house call as fast as her legs would carry her. “This is an emergency!” Her short, colbalt cape flapping in the breeze, Linda whipped her cellphone from her pocket and pressed a button on the front. A familiar ping sounded from the device. “445 West 23rd Street! Chelsea, New York!” she commanded, and the location and directions popped up through the GPS. “Dammit...not that far, but too far on foot...HEY! Stop right there!!” She threw herself in front of a hapless, approaching bicyclist, who swerved to avoid her and crashed into the side of a nearby building. Night Nurse ripped the bike off of its owner and stood it upright, mounting it herself with the EMT kit slung securely over her shoulder. “You crazy bitch! Get back here! I need that for work! Thief!” “I'll return it! Trust me, I'm a doctor!”“...you will have reached your destination, on right.” The stolen bicycle clacked noisily to the pavement in front of Quake's building, a thick smearing and spattering of scarlet fluid leading the way from where there had obviously been some sort of deadly struggle. Linda followed the trail and looked around carefully for signs of the combatants or victims before hurrying into the building. Heavy drops of blood decorated the carpeted flooring, with streaks of red handprints smearing against the walls, leading to a a door left slightly ajar. Swallowing back any fear for her own safety, despite her rapidly increasing heart rate, Linda pressed onwards, entering the apartment to find her soon-to-be patient sprawled out on the floor in a pool of crimson. Thinking quickly, Night Nurse snatched a few throw pillows off of the couch, and carefully checked where the majority of the bleeding was coming from, primarily on the right side of the woman's torso. She quickly tore a pair of latex gloves and a surgical mask from her EMT kit and pulled them tightly over her thin hands and face. Turning Quake over to lay upon her uninjured side, Linda slipped one of the pillows beneath her to elevate the wound, as well as one beneath her head, and checked for all of her vital signs. Heartbeat weak...breathing irregular...this is not good... “Quake,” she said softly to the fallen warrior. “I know you're in a lot of pain...but Daredevil sent for me. I'm the Night Nurse, and I'm going to help you get through this, okay?”Grabbing various unused syringes, filled bottles and gels from the kit, Night Nurse prepared a syringe of lidocaine, a liquid anesthetic to reduce the poor girl's pain, and injected it directly into the wound, followed by a sparing amount of a hemostasis powder to halt the bleeding. A scalpel now in hand, she carefully brought the tip of the blade against Quake's soft flesh. “If you can hear me...this is gonna hurt. A lot. Bear with me, please. You're doing great, Quake.”With the wound now extended with two small cuts at both sides, Night Nurse pulled up some forceps and investigated just how deep the knife had gone. Thankfully, whoever attacked her didn't seem to strike at anything vital. A simple stitching up was all that would be in order here, though it would still be an exceedingly long process, given the depth of the wound. She packed up the gaping hole with fresh gauze and began stitching from inside out, layer by layer, from muscle to skin. After an hour of stitching, her hands dyed a deep, dark crimson, there was only one thing left to do before Linda and Quake could finally rest after this hellish day. Making sure the woman wouldn't move suddenly and pop the threads that she had just so painstakingly applied, Night Nurse dug through the med kit real quick in search of a bottle of liquid stitches. “Crazy glue,” she chuckled to herself, liberally spreading the gel out with a tongue depressor. “A field doctor's best friend.”Quake would be okay and on the road to recovering at this point, so long as she didn't try to push herself too hard, too soon. A sigh of relief escaped between Linda's lips as she leaned back against the blood-soaked couch, stretching the gloves off of her hands and lowering the mask to hang around her neck. Despite the gore and undying stress of her work, this was what she lived for, why she took on the title of Night Nurse. Saving lives was her calling – and Quake's wouldn't be the last life she would have to save before this war was over.

By the time Daredevil arrived, the riot had begun to clear as the heroes already present, from who he could sense was Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Angel, and finally Spider-Man standing next to Norman Osborn (he could feel the webhead cringing from here; he could relate,) had done their jobs effectively. Nevertheless, the heroes had done their job mopping up whatever there was there. He dropped down, not waiting for Hawkeye to catch his breath and free fell towards the chaos, reeling his cable club around a pole to slow his descent, before reeling it back to take out the gunmen in the recoil that were aiming straight for Spider-Man and Osborn. Using careful timing, he used his open hand to grab onto the lamp post and orbit before landing with an imposing presence barely eight feet away from Osborn on the stage. "In a country so divided, it's only fitting the most corrupt of them all would fill my city with his campaign trail of bodies," he said, his voice an icy tone of gargled glass, "particularly with mobsters playing at being assassins. Tsk tsk," His tone had finality to it, and before anybody could say a word, he felt somebody try to jump him from behind, which he met with a backfist to their face, not even bothering to "look" in their general direction, keeping his face on Osborn, one of pure malice and hate. He stared down the ex-Green Goblin in a tense silence, as the police had finally broken through and everyone was in full retreat. He felt Spidey, Cage, Jones, and Fist standing tall next to him. "You know what is coming, Norman, no thanks to you with this little stunt!" said Cage, whose height commanded presence and authority. "You missed the fight by the way, hornhead," he added under his breath, but Daredevil picked it up nonetheless. Daredevil pointed his club in a threatening manner to Osborn before pointing it skyward. "We'll be watching," he said before firing the cable, which signaled everybody to follow, and follow they did, taking out a few stragglers as they all vanished, except for Hawkeye and Angel. What they were doing Daredevil did not stick around long enough to guess, probably dealing with the police as they were wont to do if they were present. The registered heroes had it much easier, and for that, perhaps they had their uses. At least for now. Daredevil felt his phone go off; it was Luke. He picked it up and heard a buzz that signaled he was in a conference call with everybody who was there on their speed dial. Daredevil pulled out the bluetooth extension and stuck it in his ear, which he hated to do since it ran interference on his Radar Sense slightly, but he needed his hands. "Devil here," he said, entering the conversation. "Sweet Christmas, real smooth, man. We do all the work and there you are to hog the glory! At least you saved old webhead there when you did, so, anybody recording that would paint Osborn there in a bad light," said Luke over the phone. Matt snickered over Peter's inevitable protest. "Yeah, well, let's do a head count: The Enforcers; The Hood's men; Inner Demons; Norman's protection crew. Why would Wilson Fisk get involved in this gang war? He has no power base! At least not since he came out of Ryker's! Daredevil?""I... Don't know, Luke. I really don't," "Well that's encouraging..."[/i] said Jessica snarkily. "Bottom line, the Enforcers were clearly protecting Osborn. Why, I have no idea," said Luke. He heard a few of them bicker as he entered Hell's Kitchen again, but it gave him time to think. Luke was right: Why would Wilson want to protect Norman? They're not exactly friends by any stretch of the imagination, if anything they were rivals for YEARS. Has it become so bad with Mr. Negative losing his guns that Osborn's been moving onto his turf? No, that can't be right, his campaign has been his focus. And why was the Hood's men there as well? What did Osborn do to encite two different factions to attack him at such an open event? Had their detente come to an end? "Spidey; Between you and me, unlike Luke and Jess here, it would be best if you got anybody you cared about out of town before this blows up - - wait a second, - -" he heard over a radio nearby as he set his anchor point to swing across to the next rooftop that May Parker had just been rescued by the NYPD, "You might want to get over to the 15th and collect your aunt as well and get her and MJ out. If this tore the park a new one, I can only imagine what will happen if Osborn decides to retaliate for such a humiliation, and I'm not just talking about what he will try to do to us," he said, his tone calm and measured, but he was thinking of Foggy. Foggy might've been a tough lawyer, but he was no fighter. He'd be the first target on Norman's AND Fisk's hitlists if this went where he thought it was. Daredevil tumbled through his apartment's open window and tore his mask off. "Everybody, stay sharp. Daredevil out," he said and hung up his bluetooth, tearing it off his ear. He didn't bother to take his suit off, he knew he'd be out there again soon, and reached into his fridge for some water. Hope for peace; prepare for war. --------------------------------------- The Hood stormed through Fisk's office door, not even bothering with formalities. "FISK!" he bellowed as best as his voice could to a man twice his size for effect. "What the HELL are you playing at? Sicking the Enforcers on my men when I had arranged a meeting with Osborn!" [[OOC Note: He actually didn't, if you remember the villain thread]]He felt the place go cold and he turned and felt another familiar presence enter. Good, now they could settle this like man and worm!

Clint had been sprinting along the rooftops as quickly as he could after Daredevil, who swung from building-to-building with ease. If only he was that graceful... If he had dared to do anything like that, he'd just find himself plummeting to the streets below. An embarrassing end for the master marksman. As they arrived at the scene, Clint realized why Daredevil was in such a rush. What was a peaceful campaign rally for the ex-Green Goblin, Norman Osborn, had turned into an all-out war, with some of Hell's Kitchen's finest heroes, as well as a few unusual choices such as Spider-Man and Angel fighting off the goons that had decided to use the rally as an opportunity to test out their shooting skills.
Hawkeye narrowed his eyes, peering off the side of the roof as he loaded three arrows onto his bow, letting them fly at three separate attackers closing in on Luke and Jessica. Each arrow hit its mark, the sharp projectiles all impaling the attackers in non-lethal areas, such as shoulders and legs. But as quickly as he began giving ranged support, Daredevil was on the ground, where all the heroes were confronting Osborn himself. Hawkeye swore silently. "I always miss the fun part, man..." He murmured, firing a grappling-hook arrow at his feet before rappelling down to the ground below. Cutting through the mass of police officers and panicking civilians, Hawkeye crossed his arms as he stood beside the others. Giving a glare at Osborn, he couldn't seem to help the deep feeling of distrust for the former supervillain.
Daredevil took the words right out of his mouth, each syllable spoken with malice as he clearly wasn't the only one not buying this reformed nonsense. For all he knew, this was a huge publicity stunt. Part of an even bigger plot involving the apparent nuke. The nuke... The others didn't know about the nuke that Quake spoke of, did they? Just as he was about to utter something to Cage, Daredevil and them were off. He gave a heavy sigh. Hopefully Daredevil would inform them of what Quake had revealed. Hopefully he could trust him to do that much.
All around him, squad cars were lined up, officers putting up crime scene tape and loading incapacitated men into the back seats as a few called for backup. Most likely from the fire department and paramedics. For all he knew, a few innocent people were caught in the line of fire and didn't manage to escape without a scratch... Looking to his side, he was delighted to see that Angel had decided to stick around to help the police and hopefully ward off any news reporters that decided to stick their noses into this event. "X-Man. Nice to see you helping out around here." He gave Angel a nod, taking no time to make a stupid joke as he looked around to see what needed to be done.
And then came those news reporters from earlier... Running up, cameras and microphones at the ready as they broke through the pathetic yellow barriers the police had set up. "Hawkeye! May we get a word regarding what happened here?" "Who is to blame for the violence that started at this rally?" "Do the unregistered heroes have anything to do with the endangerment to Mr. Osborn?" The rapid-fire questions that were thrown in his direction were annoying and unhelpful, to be honest. All they served to do is stir up hysteria, which is something that definitely was not needed.
Holding up his hands to signal for silence, pictures being snapped in his face, blinding him with the bright flash, he looked at the closest reporter and grasped her wrist, holding the microphone to his lips. "I cannot confirm any details for the press at this time. Whoever hit this place for whatever reason, they will be identified and the heroes of New York will get to the bottom of this. There is no conspiracy going on against Norman Osborn, so you can shove that speculation up your ass. The unregistered heroes deserve no backlash for what happened here, so throw that idea to the side as well."
Looking into the camera, he put on as serious a face as he possibly could.
"I have a recommendation for every citizen living in this city right now. And listen very closely to what I'm about to tell you. As an Avenger, I've seen the worst. Ultron, Zimo, Loki... You name it. It's gotten to the point that I've developed a sixth sense, in a way. I can predict when something bad is about to go down. The increase in crime is only the start. The riots and fighting you saw here? That's nothing compared to what will happen later on."
"I guess what I'm trying to say, is keep your loved ones close, and always stay on the defense. Be prepared... Because a storm is coming. And pretty soon, all Hell is going to break loose." With that warning, Clint walked off, out of the reach of the hungry reporters.

Norman Osborn
Norman was about to start killing gunmen. He puts on a show like he is about to do something knowing the camera is on. He continues to act like there in danger knowing Spiderman could probably drop most of them but not all he would have to help. Then Daredevil showed up with a few others.
("Norman...Norman now take this punk ass out now this is perfect.")
Norman shakes his head no as he tries to keep from losing his temper.(" There are all the same. Daredevil, Cage... what do they know of corruption? The city is in need of something more a new set of heroes people can look up not some faceless vigilante wannabes. Now you better watch your back this war you let start is now going to be in your backyard, your streets. Oh yes, blood will flow and the thunderbolts shall be needed once again don't get in my way. Bullseye and my Thunderbolts will stop all of them if they interfere. Spiderman looks like you are going to have to explain yourself to the people. So why did you stand back and allow it, oh yes we have footage of you waiting in the distance.") Norman waits with anger building.
He walks over to the reporters. Looks into the cameras. "This is only the Beginning. New York is under attack. People of New York take cover if you can get supplies for at least three days. Now I vow that the Thunderbolts will fight to take this city back."
-------------------------------------------------------------- MISTER NEGATIVE\MR. Li Mr.Negative showed up late after leaving the rally and changing in route to safety he noticed that his new allies already betrayed him. Negative and some of his men pull up out side the Fisk tower. Four of his men have shoulder launching rpg they aim it at the building in various places.
"They should have just gave me what I wanted. Well so much for peace. Let the War begin. Launch now."
