The Captain would stare briefly at the sword stabbed into the ground before him. It seemed the girl was attempting to test him in her own way. Recalling the time he lifted Thor's hammer, he remembered it was simply a test to see whether he was still himself, regardless of him rejecting the title of 'Captain America' at the time. Despite him lifting said weapon, he never really felt worthy, whenever he did pick up Thor's hammer. He only ever did it if his ally was out of commission, or if they were coordinating together for a special attack. All he remembers thinking about is trying to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible so that everyone around him was safe and sound. But, it seemed the girl needed to check something out. Mainly to see if he could pull out the sword's powers in case of another similar situation involving herself. Rather than finding out in an ill timed emergency, the Captain saw no issue attempting to pull out the blade now. Feeling a slight struggle when he first attempted to pull out the blade with his right hand, he'd eventually pull it out, handing the sword right back to the girl. "Even so, I think you know how to use this sword a hell of a lot better than I can."As he gave back the blade to Faiza, he'd look back towards the jet, hearing the slight hum of its engines. With Clint geting the quinjet to start up, the Captain would signal to others to enter on in. "Avengers, it's time to move."A Few Moments LaterWith everyone on the quinjet, the Captain would look straight head as the aircraft flew quickly to the desired destination of Seattle. They especially needed to be careful of the detection systems the Leader uses. From the reports he read, he learned it wasn't the typical radar system, given Stern was capable of detecting the military's stealth planes. He was using something else, which meant even their quinjets were probably not immune to being detected themselves. He'd get closer to Clint, instructing him on what to do as they got closer to the city. "Before we reach Seattle, make sure to fly in low. We're gonna have to land at the outskirts of the city and traverse by foot. Don't want him detecting us too early."When they do finally land, the Captain would instruct the others on what to do next. They needed to play this safe after all. But, they also had to be fast. The Leader was still displaying his messages and seemingly random intervals across the televison stations. He was getting a bit impatient waiting for the Avengers to arrive. With one of the displays on the quinjet displaying his face relaying the message, the others would hear what he had to say. "I have grown disappointed Avengers. You still haven't arrived? Then I shall up the ante. You have an hour left to show up, or I shall attempt my transformation of the populace within Seattle, Washington. Don't keep me waiting!"The display would then refer back to the usual programming played by the channel, but the message still left a lingering effect on Jennifer. Her face had a furrowed brow, and she started to clench her fists even more, as if her nails were threatening to pierce into the skin of her palm. I'll make sure you pay Leader. Just you wait.Without the use of her bracelet, it seemed her skin showed a slight hint of green. Her anger was starting to be a slight bit more visible, before it fully reverted back to her usual peach colored skin.

It seemed that The Sword held the captain to be just as worthy as Thor's hammer did, and agreed with her expectations regarding his ancestry. As the blade slid out of the ground, she smiled gently, reassured that there was at least someone she could trust who understood just how important the weapon was, and who could be trusted to do the right thing with it if the worst happened. She accepted the weapon back from him, and returned it to her scabbard wordlessly, looking at the small incision in the floor between them, her hand glowing blue for a moment, closing the breach and restoring it to the way it had been. Only then did she reply.
"Thank you Captain. I hope that was unnecessary, but regardless, I feel better for knowing."
With that, she followed his lead onto the Quinjet, listening to the extra information, then the Leader's new monologue (why did they always seem to like monologues so much?) and noticed Jennifer's reaction with great interest. Clearly there was more going on with the woman than Faiza was aware of, but this wasn't unusual with the Avengers. She was still learning about nearly all of them after all. But when she was going into the field, facing probable combat with them? She wanted to know all she could about their strengths and weaknesses. Right now, it was almost certain that this desire would be best served by remaining uninvolved. Those who were closer to her would surely address anything that was important. And if Jennifer did turn into She-Hulk and lose control? Well, Faiza was ready to use her powers to restrain her if needed.

"The original Wondrous Wasp, at your service."------------------------------------------------------ Janet decided not to pay Clint much find here. But she did give him a playful, joking "Sush, you."Needless to say, the trip on the quinjet wasn't full of conversation and life. It seemed as though most, or maybe even all of them were focused on the mission. Even Clint and Jen, their most jovial members, were concentrating on what lay before them. Janet was the same way, of course. Still keeping to herself and brainstorming possible ideas. It had been a while since she needed to come up with complex strategies. Though the duty didn't fall on her this time, she still knew that coming up with a backup plan couldn't hurt. After what felt like too short a time, the Leader's voice penetrated the quinjet. His smug voice was so annoying. Shutting him up was going to be fun. "Does anyone mind if I zap the Leader when we find him? A could Sting'll shut him up and keep him from escaping."------------------------------------------------------ "I'm just sorry it's not under better circumstances... "

Hawkeye "If I miss, it means I'm just another dude with a bow. It means I've been fooling myself this whole time. And that's why I never miss." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, so Clint was driving. Always a lovely job. Especially when the job could end with one false maneuver. It was odd how much trust they had in him with a lack of powers. Gotta love being a normal guy that was far from normal. He would nod when Cap gave him commands on flying. Direct orders from Cap... Again, ordinary guy that is not at all ordinary. "Why wouldn't you zap him? Aside from the fact that the extra electricity might just accelerate his brainwaves..." He would say when Janet mentioned stinging Leader, "Any thoughts newbies? We all know Cap's gonna have something to say, but I wanna hear what you guys have to say..."He would pause for a beat and regard his Academy member, "Hey, Pat... Not that I don't trust your hand to hand, but you might want to pull out the suit for this one... This is big leagues, welcome to them. I think you're ready." Patrick sat in the back of the Quinjet, remaining quiet even as the others talked and Captain America gave some guidance as to what they were going to do once they arrived. It seemed like they were going to take the stealth approach in order to go as far as they could undetected.
The Leader, apparently, was growing impatient with the next communication he had sent. He essentially gave them an hour to arrive or he'd start transforming everyone in the city. Based on the reactions of the others, it was clear that the guy was serious and he was a major threat.
He drew in a breath before hearing the suggestion from the guy who was flying . . . Clint, he thought the name was . . . suggest that he pull out the suit. "Thanks for believing that I'm ready," he told him before adding, "I think it's best for me to wait until Captain America gives the order. Not that I don't respect your suggestion, but I've been told that I'm too reliant on the suit."
He just wasn't sure what he was going to do or how he might be able to help if the order never came. He didn't have natural spider powers so he couldn't climb walls or spin webs without it. That uncertainty showed on his face, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. He didn't want to be in a position where he couldn't contribute to the team in some way with achieving their goal of stopping the Leader.

As Clint suggested that Patrick should put on the armor, the youthful hero would reply back that he was currently awaiting on the Captain to give the order to put it back on. It seemed he may have misinterpreted the suggestion Rogers gave for training. "It's alright Patrick. You can put on the armor. I didn't intend for you to fight without it on field missions. It was mainly for training in those simulations Stark created."With that out of the way, Jennifer would continue off the conversation that Janet and Clint were having. She hadn't realized that she had almost achieved her hulk-like transformation without the use of the bracelet. It had been some time since her trauma being controlled and manipulated to destroy Bone, Idaho, that she had been able to properly transform into She-Hulk on her own. "You can zap him all you like. I'm gonna make sure his head is pounded into a bag of mulch when I'm done!"Steve of course, would then make sure to calm the room down before things became too heated when speaking about the Leader. "It's good all of you are eager, but keep calm. We need to do some recon before we start moving in."Looking back out the window, he'd look out the window towards the sight of the rainy city. With the precipitation pounding down on the windshield of the quinjet, the Captain would reiterate what Clint said earlier on. "Given we know he has Carl Creel and the Rhino working for him, along with that giant robot, I wouldn't mind any ideas from the group. It wouldn't hurt to some backup plans in case things go wrong."Seeing that Clint was approaching smaller sized building in front of a bridge, the Captain would beckon Barton to park on top of the roof of said building. "Land right there. Everyone, get ready to move out."

Once on board the plane, time passed swiftly enough. Other than listen to what the senior members of the Avengers had to say, Faiza had nothing to do, of course. This was her first outing with any of the top tier figures, and she was keen to learn as much as she could from it. But when Hawkeye asked if she had any ideas, she felt like she was back in Medical School, being asked by the lecturer to diagnose a particularly mysterious ailment in a patient. She took a second or so to react, unsure of whether this was a test or not, before shaking her head. "Nothing that you've no doubt thought of already. I can paralyse people, but that doesn't stop minds, and you said he's telepathic, so it wouldn't really do anything useful. I can hold back his minions though, and I'm sure that one of you can disable him? Or is he only able to read minds, not control them?"
If it would really be that easy, Faiza would be astonished. Anyone who the Avengers considered a major threat would not have that kind of glaring weakness that meant a total newbie like her could handle it alone, with the others there just to help her put the handcuffs on the bad guys afterwards. No, she knew she was there to make sure that nobody got hurt, or if they did then to make sure it didn't last.

"The original Wondrous Wasp, at your service."------------------------------------------------------ As they landed, Janet took the initiative to unbuckle her seat and spread her wings. She jumped up, but didn't land - she was shrinking before their very eyes, until she was but a tiny, floating speck in the air, about half an inch tall. Seemed like a weird choice to shrink down now. But it was actually all planned out: she could speedily weave through the raindrops and move faster than she could at her normal height. And if someone managed to spot them getting out of the jet, they wouldn't notice her. You couldn't be too careful or too fast when you're dealing with villains as - and Janet hated to admit this - smart as the Leader. Her voice could be heard clearly through the jet's speakers. "Ready to go on ahead. Cap, where do you need me to look?"------------------------------------------------------ "I'm just sorry it's not under better circumstances... "

Hawkeye "If I miss, it means I'm just another dude with a bow. It means I've been fooling myself this whole time. And that's why I never miss." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hawkeye would land the ship safely before pulling out his bow and standing with the group, awaiting the instructions from their fearless leader. Some would say that it was foolish to think that Captain America was some pillar of peace. Everyone had their demons... But that was something that he had never seen in Captain America, even after all these years of knowing him. That just makes him think that he carries way more on those shoulders than he needs to. "Lemme guess. 'Clint, you're on vantage points.' Right?" He would say, walking for the exit of the craft. He would look to Excalibur, "I think it's gonna be pretty hard to focus when I shoot a tear gas arrow in there. After Wasp gets away of course... Ya know, because I can see her in this form... Speaking of, where'd she go?" He'd say jokingly, trying to lighten the mood a tad for the new recruits who were probably stressed right about now. Other Information:AppTrackerVoice Example

Patrick listened to Captain America and nodded slightly. "Yes, sir," he replied solemnly. He literally had no idea that Captain America had originally intended for that to apply only to training and not to the field so he really felt bad about it. He had made it a habit, even before Captain America's request, to try and do some training and workouts without the Iron Spider armor active so it wasn't a new thing, but the suggestion originally came across like he shouldn't wear it in the field at all. It's why he started to doubt when he should use it versus when he shouldn't as well as if he could continue putting himself out there in the line of fire as a hero if he wasn't going to be allowed to wear the armor in the field.
Drawing in a breath, he gave a mental command, which caused the Iron Spider armor to appear around him. He then closed his eyes for a moment, trying to focus and mentally prepare himself for what was to come. When it was mentioned who else was working with the Leader and input was wanted, he paused. He had dealt with the Rhino once already in the field, and another time through a simulation. But was that enough for him to try and give his own ideas?
Opening his eyes, he decided to take a chance to speak up, "Rhino is going to be tough. He's pretty strong as it is, but anytime he sees a spider it's almost like a bull fight. He just sees red and charges. I can act as bait for him, and maybe we can run him into something that's stronger than himself even with the momentum he'd build . . . something that can knock him out, it might give us a better chance."

Once the quinjet landed on the rooftop and everyone exited the aerial vehicle, the Captain would pull out a pair of binoculars to both examine the state of the city and check for enemy forces patrolling throughout. He especially wanted to note at least one of the aerial vehicles and one of the ground-based armored tanks. He felt those were the key to getting past that shield without having to rely on brute force. As he checked for the vehicle, Jennifer would reply to Faiza on the limits of the Leader's telepathy. Especially since she had experience dealing with the villainous some time ago herself. "The bastard can only control those that have 'low IQs'. The goons that work for him tend to have pretty dim light-bulbs if you catch my drift. And his control is usually over like a mile I think. I can't really remember. But, sometimes uses devices to try and amplify his control. He...implanted some chips in my head when he captured me once. It allowed him to amplify his control over me somewhat, after he turned me into a rage monster."She didn't want to go into more detail over the destruction of Bone, Idaho. That already left her troubled and trembling as is. "Don't worry, I got those chips removed. He won't be controlling me again."As Jennifer finished her story, the Captain would continue examining on ahead. He'd take note of Patrick's own strategy against the Rhino. Something they may have to rely on if his own plan to get past the ground forces doesn't go through. With that on the back of his mind, he'd look on aroud his surroundings to note the national guard carefully guiding and guarding civilians and traffic towards the bridge to evacuate the city. He'd also note several damaged police vehicles on the streets, along with some dead officers along with them. The site did upset the Captain, but he did not avert his gaze. Instead, he'd start to make note of one of the dark-green armoured vehicles made by the Leader. Noting the giant cannon on the vehicle, he'd then see the several armed men in green armor walking around it. It seemed they were forcibly guiding a crowd of unarmed civilians right towards the back entrance of said vehicle. That's strange. What does he want with civilians? He practically has them hostage with his super-bomb.Pondering that line of thought, he'd quickly signal to the rest of the team to venture forward onto another rooftop. "We'll need to make some ground. For now, we'll venture on the rooftops. Keep your eyes peeled for any more of his airships or ground vehicles. They're our key past that shield of his."With him on another rooftop, he'd keep his body low as he used his binoculars to spot an aerial transport vehicle used by the Leader's men. With the vehicle parked on a distant rooftop (around the positon of 10 o'clock in relation to the quinjet), there would be a crowd of people also being forced inside the vehicle, directed by the armed goons the gamma villain so frequently utilized. Once the vehicle was full with civilians, the armed men would enter back inside to then pilot the vehicle back towards the tower known as the Space Needle. The Captain guessed that the armored vehicle on the ground also taking in civilians would also head back towards the tower. And so, the Avenger looked towards the Space Needle to see a green light seemingly shining off from the top of it. It appeared that a hole might have been cut from the top of the Space Needle, allowing some kind of light to appear from out of the hole or being lit into the hole. From his current guess, he assumed the light was from the makeshift gamma bomb that the Leader was going to use on the city. And of course, the Leader was also ordering his men to start taking hostages towards the tower. Possibly to ensure he had collateral before everyone evacuated if his bombs went off. So, the Avengers just had to make sure to keep the civilians safe and stop the bomb. Sounds simple enough. Looking back towards his teammates, he'd start giving out his commands. "Alright, we're gonna have to break up into two teams. First is the ground team. That includes myself, Excalibur, and She-Hulk."He'd then look towards the direction of Hawkeye, Wasp, and Scarlet Spider. "The rest of you will be the aerial team. You guys need to find one of those aerial transports and use it on my signal, to fly through that shield and onto the roof of that tower. I, as well as most of you, probably assume that the bomb is on the top floor, given that glowing green light. So you three will most likely have the risky job of defusing the device. However, I do trust you guys to do what must be done."He'd then look towards the other two members on ground team. "As for ourselves, we're going to commandeer one of their armored tanks. Our goal is to go in through the shield before the aerial team so we provide a distraction towards all the heavy hitters down below. We may end up clashing with that giant robot beforehand too, but if that happens, the aerial team has to take advantage of the commotion and get to the roof of that tower."Taking a quick breath, he'd then go to finish his order: "Just so you know, there will be armed men around the vehicles. They seem to be trying to abduct more civilians, and directing them right towards their vehicles. I don't have to reiterate that their safety is paramount, so make sure that none of them get hurt.Looking back towards the rest of the city, he'd then finish by saying "Alright Avengers, you got your orders. Time to move."

So the plan was to steal a tank, drive it into the enemy's stronghold, fight his most formidable forces, and hope that he didn't notice the other guys sneaking in the metaphorical back door? Simple, but hopefully effective. With the civilians in the area, it was of course not going to be that easy. Hopefully 'hurt' would be the worst of it, if it came to even that. Hurt, she could fix.
As they prepared to move out, she made one last check of her equipment; her sword belt was secure, her armour was comfortably arranged, and she'd made sure to drink enough on the flight there that dehydration was not going to be a concern. Whilst this was a much more serious mission than any she'd been on until now, at least the familiarity of her mental preparations checklist reassured her that it was still just a mission. So when the teams were declared and the 'move out' order was given, she wordlessly fell in behind Captain America. Despite her outward silence, she was reviewing all that they'd been told in the briefing, on the flight, and so on. Much like with medicine it may well be that something seemingly insignificant mentioned only as an aside turned out to be the answer to the problem. Until things got going though, she would not have any way of even guessing what any such fact might be, if it did indeed turn out to be anything more than a (hopefully) small scale super powered fight. With gamma empowered titans of destruction on both sides. And civilians caught in the middle. This was not going to end anywhere near as well as she hoped it would...

"The original Wondrous Wasp, at your service."------------------------------------------------------ Alright, the plan sounded simple: nab one of those fancy planes and fire it up when they were told. Then they had to head into the lion's den to diffuse a super bomb. "Sounds good, Captain," the Wasp said as she headed toward the exit. "We'll try to leave something for you guys to do, but don't be surprised if we end up taking care of everything ourselves."It was a little playful jab, not a serious comment or insult. But it wasn't necessarily meant for the Captain, either. It was an attempt at some humor to lighten the load off of the recruits' backs. Better make their first big mission one they'd want to look back on fondly. Better than she did her first mission, anyway. She looked upon a tall building, with an aerial transport on the rooftop, some distance away. They were guarded by several armed men, and people were forced into the vehicle. Scientists? Civilians? Enemies? Best to be careful until they knew more. Janet looked to her team. "What do you guys want to do? I think we could go stealthy and make sure there are no innocents before we take them down. Or maybe we can all shrink down and ride Clint's arrow. Or- Or- Clint, you might be our best shot if we get caught."
She turned to the Scarlet Spider and smiled. "Pat, can you still go invisible?"------------------------------------------------------ "I'm just sorry it's not under better circumstances... "

Hawkeye "If I miss, it means I'm just another dude with a bow. It means I've been fooling myself this whole time. And that's why I never miss." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hawkeye would listen to the plan and nod. It was time to shine, as always. He wouldn't be as joking anymore, as he needed to focus on not messing anything up. Especially when it looked like civilians were involved. Meant they couldn't just drop a tear gas arrow in there. Of course this couldn't be an easy mission. He would survey the field, pointing all the vantage points he could immediately get to with little to no problems. Quite a few, as always, but he needed to be wary of the air support above them. They hadn't secured above them, so that limited him from getting the high ground for now. Seemed like it was time to get fancy then. Good thing he packed a bunch of his trick arrows. "I think the two of you should go in and make sure it's safe. I don't want to shoot a tear gas arrow in there if there are civilians. Get in there, see what you find, and give me a signal. If the signal is good, I'll fire a tear gas arrow, if not... Well, we're gonna have to fight it out." He would offer a fist bump to Patrick, "You've got this. These don't get less tense. I'm tense and I've been doing this for years." Other Information:AppTrackerVoice Example

The Scarlet Spider listened as Captain America divided them up into teams. Apparently, he was going to be on the aerial team and they needed to not only find one of the transports, but use it to get through the shield to the roof where they'd have to find the bomb and defuse it. He nodded as he listened to the plan and took note of his team assignment.
It was also mentioned how there would be armed men involved plus civilians that needed to be protected. That was going to be a challenge, as even the transport that they may have to get on could be filled with civilians or the armed men that Cap mentioned. Plus they also had a couple of other threats that could possibly impact their progress.
He turned as the Wasp asked what they wanted to do and offered a few suggestions, but then also asked if he could turn invisible. Hawkeye suggested that they should go in and make sure it's safe and then give him a signal before offering him a fist bump and some encouragement. He held his hand up and bumped his fist against Hawkeye's before turning to the Wasp and nodding. "Yes, I can easily activate stealth mode and go invisible. What do you have in mind?"
