Roderick, still sporting his mile wide grin, tugged his jacket on and did a dramatic bow.
"And now, I must bid you adieu! There's work to be done, news to be made, and vigilantes to embarrass. Pleasure doing business with you Wilson. Always nice to see someone smart enough to let bygones be bygones, especially where there's money to be made!" he said.
Turning to the door, the little bell ringing ever so slightly as he opened it, he paused for a second.
"Might want to stay out of the Kitchen for a spell. You never know what could happen. Some of these costumed loonies have a real screw loose!" he called over his shoulder before exiting the barber.
Whether that was for show, a genuine comment based on how angry he intended to make the Defenders, or a not-so veiled threat was for the Kingpin to determine. Walking down the street with a skip in his step, Kingsley whistled. Everything was going according to plan. He was richer, the money would be put towards other schemes and fires he had going, and he was going to get to drive those do-gooders to the point of madness and all on the Kingpin's dime.
Sure, Willy thinks he has another dutiful employee and one he can snuff out should it become convenient, but once this Daredevil job is finished? He's going to learn. They are all going to learn. You can't keep a good goblin down!
