Spider-Man (Miles Morales)Two-thousand on thermometers Two-thousand surroundin' us Travel two-thousand kilometers To hang out with us What's up, danger? (Danger) What's up, danger? (Dan...The music in Miles' ears would drift off as an alert would play from the FNSM app on his wireless ear buds, alerting him of a disturbance of the new Alchemax building within Manhattan. Apparently Oscorp did a merger with Allan Chemical to make a new foundation, with a brand new name to boot. Miles guesses it was to further separate the company away from the current President of the United States (still can't believe Norman is in charge), but whose to say? For now, Miles rushes along with his web-swings, hoping to get to the source of danger as fast as possible. Hoping to maybe get some more possible info on the event, he'd try to contact Ganke on the way, giving him a call via a force command from his suit to his phone. "Call Ganke.....Alright man, pick up, might need your help on this..."Morales had suspicions that building might have housed possible threats or dangerous weapons, or whatever secret dangerous projects Osborn had his company working on before the merger. He didn't have the best rep after all, and his company was responsible for the loads of goblin tech and superpowered formulas that lead to the Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, and whatever other Goblin there is out there. "Crap, no answer. Guess Ganke's asleep. Really hope I'm not dealing with some new Goblin this time. Like the Blue Goblin, or the Red Goblin, or the Rainbow Goblin! Nah that'd be too fruity. Not that there's any problem with that I guess? Ah, focus up Miles. We're almost there."He'd spot broken glass on one of the higher up floors of the building. Figured it was the perfect opening to swing through, the hero would do just that. Landing on the wall opposite the broken glass, he'd state aloud "Am I allowed through here, or do I gotta bust through my own window? No response, cool, then don't mind me..."He would look around to see a smokey floor with black stains on the ground, with walls of several cubicles being strewn about, along with several computers and office equipment. The room looked oddly normal, like a basic office building. The only strange things being the small crater with the black stain like an explosion occurred inside there, and of course the few bodies strewn about. "..."He wasn't a fan of dead bodies, not after his dealings with Skinless Man, Massacre, and of course Carnage. Spider-Man doesn't let anyone die, that's the goal at least. So it always hurt when that objective failed right from the start. Looking through the few bodies around, he'd examine a bit more to see if it was because of any possible explosions. Instead through, they seemed sliced through or stabbed. No burn marks or any sign that they got caught up in a grenade of some kind. It reminded him from the skirmish he had with the Symbiotic Villain long ago at Midtown High. But it couldn't possibly be him right? His last sighting was further west, towards Colorado. Sure, he did find a way to break out from the Raft, but he hasn't been back in New York since then. "Ah f**k, not him again. Anyone but him..."Pulling out his phone to look for more alerts, expecting Carnage to be...well causing carnage outside of this building throughout New York, he'd see absolutely nothing else except the initial alert that brought him here. So the danger has to be in this building. Putting his phone away in his suit pocket, he'd focus in on his spider-sense instead. Feeling the pockets of danger all around him, he'd see one distinct pocket further down the building, one somewhere up above, and one right next to him. A body that he swears was dead when he first got there, now with his head up and all bloody, looking incredibly terrified. "Y-you, you found me! How! I got through, there was no way you were able to follow me in time!""What, follow you, wait, back up a minute-"The man that Miles' swears was formerly a corpse starts to quickly back away, scrambling back while looking back at Spider-Man with an obvious expression of fear in his eyes. "S-stay away from me! O-or we'll cut you up! I won't be your slave again!"Miles, obviously confused, would attempt to try and calm the bloody civilian down. He believes the man might be going hysterical due to some kind of shock. He'd need to calm him down and get him quickly get him some medical treatment, before coming back to deal with whatever threat was inside the building. "Wait! Calm down! You're just in shock man! Let me fix you up, or get you to an ambulance. Take a breather ok, in and out, in and out..."Sadly, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man would get an unexpected guest on the scene, one that may interpret our young hero as the actual aggressor of the event entirely.

A SHORT WHILE AGO...Miguel O'Hara sat at his desk in deep concentration. To anyone else in the building it appeared that Alchemax employee Michael O'Mara (the identity he had assumed to infiltrate the present day version of the company) was simply putting in late hours in an attempt to help the research teams achieve success on one highly dangerous and borderline illegal project or another. In reality Miguel was doing something he had always been quite skilled at: brooding. He was not simply throwing a pity party for no reason. Only a few nights prior, while trying to get to the bottom of who exactly had been altering the timeline by giving out advanced 2099 tech to any criminal with an itchy trigger finger and a need for violence, he had run across a pair of oddities in the form of the interdimensional traveling hero Gwenpool and a mysterious agent from the future. Unfortunately, the encounter had revealed some truths that Miguel had not been ready for. The world of 2099, his 2099 had been changed and not in small, inconsequential ways. No, it was practically unrecognizable based on the information the so-called Centurion agent had relayed. Deep down he had known that some changes were inevitable. His clash with the CEO, several 2099-era villains still unaccounted for, and the fact that someone was actively attempting to disseminate technology far beyond what the current era was ready for was bound to have some repercussions. He just hadn't thought they'd be this severe. In a way it was as if everything he had done was for naught. There was no way of knowing if Gabe, his mother, Xina, or anyone else he knew and loved even still existed. If they did there was no way of knowing if they'd even be familiar to him in anyway. Beyond all of that though was the fact that if Alchemax actually went under before it could even become a megacorp, then he would never have worked there in the future let alone become Spider-Man. Which means if that was true, you O'Hara are a paradox and reality abhors paradoxes. My very existence would be threatening the space time continuum and someone, somewhere, somewhen will take offense to that. I know I would. Just by being here I could be endangering everyone around me, he thought as he scribbled down notes and figures. Glancing at a clock on the wall, he frowned, time itself seeming to taunt him. Then again, I could be getting worked up for no reason. There's every chance that something I'm missing caused time to branch. All those string theory and quantum lectures I attended over the years suggested that time is less of a vast ocean and more of a river that can be diverted but like a rubber band it likes to snap back into shape. Or as close to the original shape as possible. If that's more than just theory, my 2099 still exists out there and this new timeline split off to make something akin to 2099b. Jammit! Time travel in general really messes with your head. Clinging to the hope that his world was still out there he turned his attention to another issue. He'd been told that whatever was causing these hiccups turned tidal waves in time it was not his doing. Whether or not that was true was anybody's guess. Considering the caution he'd taken in not disrupting things too much and the low profile he'd kept since he and Deadpool had handled the sinister CEO, chances were better than not that fault laid at the feet of who or whatever was still mucking about in the present. Whoever it is they don't know subtlety. Someone like Tyler Stone would only make minute changes that benefitted Alchemax. Whoever this is doesn't seem to care if the company is wiped from existence. Even the CEO was not so reckless. Which means I'm looking either for a complete lunatic or for someone that actually is a paradox, an anomaly from another time and place. All those things I feared I was. Sad thing is they may not even know it, but their presence in the here and now has turned the timeline pear shaped. And that could just be the beginning of the damage caused. His musings were interrupted by a blaring alarm. "Jammit! What is with the sirens? Lyla, what's..."There was the unmistakable sound of an explosion that shook his office and knocked bits of plaster from the wall and ceiling. A sprinkler system kicked in as smoke and screams filled the air. Coughing, he spoke to his device on his wrist. "Lyla, drop the hologram now! It's time to go to work!"NOW...Miguel, now in full Spider-Man costume made his way to an upper floor that seemed to be source of whatever it was going on. Along the way he saw employees, other night owl workers, security, and custodians scramble about. It was absolute chaos. A water delivery guy limped along as he tried to help an intern that was bleeding from a forehead wound make it to the emergency exit stairs. Elsewhere someone tripped on the body of a company lawyer who already appeared almost gray-blue in color. "Lyla, any life signs?" he asked. "I'm sorry, but no Miguel. He seems to have perished due to extreme hemorrhaging. Ironic considering you said lawyers are all vampi..." his Holographic assistant began. "Enough. Which way?" he asked as he continued along a ventilation shaft. Following the diagram Lyla projected he made his way to an office that seemed to be registering a shattered window with the building's internal monitoring systems. Kicking the vent open he landed in a crouch taking in the scene in front of him. Another employee acting half-crazed as he faced a...Spider-Man? Too scrawny to be Parker and the voice doesn't match. Cool costume though. Still, sources from before the end of the Heroic Age don't mention anyone dressed like that and Peter has never mentioned having another wallcrawler around, he thought as he silently set Lyla to scanning for any information on the stranger. "And just who the shock are you supposed to be?" he asked, positioning himself between the man in black and the injured employee.

Spider-Man (Miles Morales)Another costumed visitor would arrive onto the scene, a man he had seen on the news a few times in the past as someone who had interacted with the OG Spidey for certain saves. He didn't know the superhero identity of this particular man though, not that that was his particular concern at the moment. Right now, he needed to figure out what to do with this particular civilian that was freaking out in front of him. "Uh, I'm Spider-Man, the new one! This is all just one big misunderstanding! Let me help you out sir! I'm gonna pick you up, slowly. We're gonna take you to an ambula-"His spider-senses would start flaring up once more, putting all his attention towards the man now instead. He'd ignore the sensation he felt upstairs and all the way down below the building. Right now, his entire body was telling him that this man was the most immediate threat. Instead of picking him up gently like he stated before, he'd pick the man up by the collars instead, looking a bit more menacing than he initially had before. "You, you're trying to play us aren't you? Who are you, really?"The man though, would simply be screaming out. "He-HELP! PLEASE, HELP ME! SAVE ME FROM HIM! PpppPLLEEEEEAAAASE!"The "civilian" would be screaming out for help, looking back towards the futuristic Spider-Man. Let us see what Miguel O'Hara decides to do with the new Spider-Man in town. It may end up being a battle of the menaces at this rate, if Miles doesn't properly clear things up.

Miguel listened, unsure what to make of the situation. He hadn't exactly been best buds with his predecessor having only crossed paths a few times with the original Spider-Man, the last of which had ended with the realization that the evil CEO he'd been battling was actually an alternate version of Peter Parker. Even so, the original Spider-Man had never mentioned there being 'new' one. He'd seen news and scanned the internet since being in the present day and had noticed several other wallcrawling, spider-themed people. Some guy with a hoodie the media had dubbed the Scarlet Spider, a girl with a red bandanna and white suit who was spotted alongside the Defenders, and even some knockoff assassin linked to HYDRA. The kid in front of him though? "New Spider-Man? Never heard of you," he responded. It was true. Granted in the future many records were lost. The end of the Age of Heroes was still largely a mystery, but snippets of things remained. Half the animal-themed corporate raiders created by Alchemax were based on members of the original Spider-Man's rogues gallery. Many of the people living on the bottom levels of Nueva York still remembered the Asgardian heroes of old, the religion of the Thorites a threat to the megacorporations and their control. The War Journal of the Punisher survived and inspired a new lethal vigilante. The list of heroes inspired by those of old, making their way based on faulty or incomplete information was a fairly substantial one. Even if the people of the future didn't know the name Peter Parker, they remembered Spider-Man as one of the most important heroes of all time. This guy though? There was no surviving images of the black and red costume, no clips of him in the archives, and no reference in any material left over from the era regarding a 'new' Spider-Man. All of it made O'Hara highly suspicious. For all he new the black suit was another symbiote or maybe this was some kind of imposter trading off of Spidey's reputation as others like Chameleon or Mysterio had before. Or worse... he thought, briefly remembering his earlier thoughts about paradoxes and anomalies, before dismissing it for lack of evidence. Whatever misgivings he had about the youngster, the aggressive manner in which he hoisted the man in the air and the panicked Alchemax employee's cry for help only helped confirm them. If there was something wrong with the man, something that Miles' Spider-Sense was warning him about, the futuristic Spider-Man didn't have the same luxury. Instead, he saw an injured and terrified man being accosted by some pretender and he acted accordingly. "Back off! Drop him before I drop you," he demanded. Firing off a webline he snagged a nearby watercooler and yanked it, sending it flying towards Miles in an attempt to make his release the man.

"Whoa!"The spider-sense of our newest Spider-Man (well, new as of now) would activate, causing him to drop the man before quickly falling backwards down to the ground to dodge the watercooler. It seemed this other vigilante wasn't a fan of Miles accosting this civilian, even though Miles knew he was some kind of threat. He had to be the one responsible for the murders here, or at least knew what happened. He was the only survivor and had the blood on his shirt to boot. Plus, Miles' 6th sense was practically blaring now towards this man. He was a danger that needed to at least be removed from the building. Speaking of, the man, now free from Miles' grasp, would start to crawl as fast as possible towards the other Black and Blue costumed hero, hoping to ask for his help to avoid the new Spider-Man of this century. As he attempted to try and sprint away, Miles would fire a web-line on his leg to trip him up, while committing to a kip up to get back on his feet. "Look man, I know this looks bad but this guy is bad ne-"Our hero would be interrupted by the screams and please of the civilian. "HHHHEEEEELP MEEEE! OH GOD, PLEASE HELP ME! HE'S GOING TO KILL ME! HE'LL NEVER STOP HUNTING ME DOWN! PLEASE HELP ME!"The pleas threw Miles off guard, but he needed to focus. That meant dragging him out of here, by force if needed. The man needed to be apprehended as soon as possible. So, Miles would start dragging by his web-line to drag him once more, unless Miguel decided to intervene once again.

The way the kid avoided the watercooler, regained his footing, and went back after the guy in one fluid motion was impressive. That combined with the webbing definitely gave some credence to his claims about who he was. Miguel however wasn't convinced, not yet. I've never heard of him, but considering the fact wallcrawling people in tights pop-up faster that a new neon light wrapped skyscraper in downtown Nueva York that doesn't mean much. Still, I can't believe that Parker would let anyone run around using the name, especially some brat that's treating a civilian like that, he thought. Leaping forward, his talons extended, he sliced the webline. He didn't have spider-sense to warn him about any incoming threat from the man, but his enhanced vision had picked up the same blood stains that Miles had taken note of. The guy shouting like he's in the middle of a horror holo might be off his rocker or even involved in whatever is happening here, but I can't tell if the blood on him is his or someone else's and I'm not going to be able to figure it out if this wannabe takes off with him before I've even had a chance to check the rest of the building, he thought. "What the shock do you not understand about this isn't happening? This guy is either traumatized, in pain, or both and I need to know what he does. I need answers before the authorities show up and cart him off to some padded room, I've still got to check for other victims, and I have another several floors to secure. You are not helping with this whole make-believe Spider-Man thing. Bálejo chico, leave. Now. I've asked twice and I'm not going to repeat myself again."Turning to the raving madman he fired off webbing of his own aiming for his mouth, the webbing noticeably coming from the top of his wrist unlike the young man in front of him.

"¿A quién llamas chico? Name's Spider-Man and it always will be. Now that guy's bad news. I don't know who he is, but my spider-sense is going off like crazy around him. Given you shoot webbing...from the top of your hand, I'm guessing you got Spider powers too? That means you got that spider-sense right? You have to be able to tell he's bad mojo. Hey, you listening to me?"Perhaps due to adrenaline, or perhaps it's due to his 6th sense causing him extra anxiety due to the danger this seemingly harmless civilian is putting off, but Miles would grab the left arm of Miguel to pull to turn Miguel around to get his attention. Perhaps with a bit more force than required, but the teenager was in no mood to let this threat go. He's seen what mass killing psychos can do when roaming free, so he can't take a chance and let this guy go. "I'm getting him out of here in case he tries to pull something to endanger more lives here. See if I can keep him tied up and sent to an ambulance for treatment before getting answers. So let's make things simple and split our jobs up. I take him away from here and you keep check on everyone else inside? We split tasks up and that way we can keep everyone safe and sound?"It was unclear whether Miguel would take kindly to the kid pulling him aside like that, but the teenager was still a little high on adrenaline due to the anxiety formed from his 6th sense. In fact, he was too focused on the threat in front of him that he didn't notice another hum in the back of his neck about the danger that may soon form from behind him. That of the bodies every so slightly twitching, but only barely noticeable to those that put their full attention to the corpses from behind. Something bad was about to go down and only the webbed up "civilian" would be the one to know about it.

Okay, so he speaks the language, Miguel thought. "Yeah, sure kid," he mumbled, both in regards to using the moniker and about the spider-sense. Spider-Sense. That's the precog thing Parker has going, also one of the few things I hadn't cracked as far as recreating his powers were concerned, back when I was working on the corporate raider project. That explains things, like how he dodged that and why he's acting so weird over this guy. Still, kid's green, you never let someone know what you can do especially with someone else in the area to overhear, he thought, neither confirming nor denying if he had the ability as well. Largely ignoring Miles he was focused on the man whose ranting was thankfully silenced by the webbing over his mouth. He needed the man to talk, but he needed answers, not to hear the lunatic rambling on about boogeymen. A second wallcrawler with near identical powers to the original and there were no records I've ever seen about him and I scoured every piece of information left about Spider-Man. First while working to try and make a new one and later after I became one. Granted, not much survived the end of the Age of Heroes, but you'd think there would at least be a reference to him in the files, something about a second webslinger. And Peter and I haven't exactly had the opportunity to talk outside of life and death situations, but he never said anything about having a kid or a sidekick or even a protege. Makes me wonder why. Because if he doesn't know him, then maybe he isn't from around here anymore than I am.His thoughts were interrupted by Miles grabbing his arm. "Dumb move kid. I tried to give you a chance," he began. Soon he found himself forcibly turned around to face Miles, the youth's strength surprising him despite the fact he should have expected it. Reflexively he raised his fist, ready to teach the so-called Spider-Man a lesson, but held his arm aloft. It was not Mile's words that gave him pause, no it was something else. As Miles spoke, Miguel caught something behind him. A twitch from what he was sure had been a dead body just seconds before. His eyes shifted, vision zooming in like a telescope. For a second he was silent, but then he saw it again. A slight twitch from the body, as if an electrical current was causing muscles to spasm. No. Not electric. Something...something is moving in there, he observed, catching the slightest hint of movement from yet another corpse nearby. "Oh shock me," he said through gritted teeth. What now? he wondered. Huffing he said, "Fine! Get him, get gone! But I better not have to track you down! We'll finish this later!"
Whatever was happening, he didn't need spider-sense to know it was big, it was wrong, and very dangerous. He'll probably be safer outside anyway. I can't worry about whatever this is and him at the same time. For all I know he's in on this! "Lyla! I need you to rescan, now! Everything, even the bodies and I need it done yesterday!"

"Okay, okay, some teamwork for a change. Appreciate the cooperation. Let me just pick this guy up and..."Spider-Man would crouch down to use light amounts of electricity from his finger tips to burn out out the edges of webbing that he had previously wrapped the man within to tie him up. Doing so made it easier to try and pick him up, using a little bit more webbing to fully wrap the man up in a web "burrito" so to speak. That was when his spider-senses would now tingle to indicate danger was somewhere else other than from right in front of him. It paired nicely with the orders the other hero would shout, seemingly to someone named "Lyla". It sounded like he was speaking to an AI, similar to what he has seen of some footage involving Iron Man. Did this guy have that kinda tech on him? Was he some kinda premier Avenger he just hasn't heard about? Just who is this guy? "Yoooo, you got an AI? And what the hell is that!?"His reaction would be to the corpses now starting to raise him up one by one in regards to Miguel quickly reacting to their previous twitches. Miles would now know why his spider-senses were tingling away from the previous threat of the tied down civilian, as the corpses would suddenly raise up to try and attack the two. In a more traumatizing state, one of the corpses would be missing legs, and push down on its hands to jump straight at Miles Morales. The new Spider-Man would commit to a sideways kick as a quick reaction to the jumping foe, sending it flying. Though the hero would feel the need to gag at the horrific sight of another creature made of the lower part of a torso now standing up. It would use the blood and guts within it to form terrifying and disgusting weapons that reminded Miles of a creature from Dead Space. This creature would go straight for the Futuristic Spider-Man instead, as the other 3 corpses would now start to rise, forming weapons of their own from their own disgusting viscera. "Ewwwgh, sorry trying not to vomit. God, I did not expect to scratch Necromorphs from my bingo card when I swung here tonight."

"Something like that," Miguel answered in relation to Lyla. His wrist unit flashed in response, "Technically I am a Lyrite Lifeform Approximation that utilizes elements of what could be considered AI to...""Not the time," Miguel snapped. As the corpses began to rise, forming weapons out of their own blood and tissue, Miguel fought down the urge to gag. He had no idea what Miles was referencing, what a "necromorph" was, but he was in full agreement with the youngster about the grisly sight before him. "What the shock are these things?" he asked, backflipping onto a wall. "They appear to be reanimated corpses of Alechmax employees," Lyla answered cheerfully. "How interesting."Sighing, Miguel shook his head. She had a habit of answering him literally and with obvious information at hand. "Interesting is not the word I would pick," he replied, firing off webbing in an attempt to secure some of the now risen bodies' feet in place. "Their makeshift organic weapons appear to share similarities with information contained within files linked to the Symbiotics Program as well as abilities we saw Kron Stone display when we..."[/i]
"Later! Lyla, you sure they're dead??" he asked, shuddering over memories of fighting his deranged half-brother and the alien symbiote that attached to him
She projected outwards for a moment, standing next to Miles looking very much like a gold hued Marilyn Monroe as she held a hand outwards, palm facing the reanimated bodies. It was for show considering her sensors were all contained within the wrist mounted unit, but she had eccentricities.
"Their base functions appear to have been hijacked. Something within them is firing off synapses and signals, but the hearts and brain waves are artificially being stimulated," she answered, turning to Miles with a friendly wave.
"Then I don't have to hold back. Kid, watch yourself. These things remind me of someone, trouble you don't want to everrun into, the mass casualty, never sleep normal again kind of trouble. I don't know for sure they are related, but be careful. Keep the loony bithead alive. I'll cover your exit! And remember, they are already vaporware and not getting any deader," he shouted.

With the Future Spider-Man backflipping to dodge the walking bottom half of the torso's attack with it's bloody intestine blade, it would then swing to its right to try and attack Miles. The disgusting blade protruding from the top of the cutoff corpse would slice through the summoned hologram of Marilyn Monroe, attempting to slice into the New Spider-Man of this era. However, Miles would also backflip, jumping upwards to remain attached to the glass window opposite the wall that Miguel was attached to. "Oh, that's pretty cool! Didn't know it could come out projecting like holograms too. Reminds me of that Ryan Gosling movie, what was it again....Bladerusher or, oh shoot...""Miles would see the bottom-halved torso trying to rush back at the teen, but the young hero would fire a web-line towards its legs with his left hand, pulling hard to cause the creature to trip backwards. All the while, he'd use his other hand to wave back at Lyla while then firing webbing to keep it tied down to the ground. The other Spider-Man was already webbing down the other 4 corpses, though one was standing up and starting to tear through the webbing, aiming to rush towards the hero of 2099 with strange blood like blades formulating where the creatures hands should be. Though Miles would focus on the job and listen to his new partner on site. "...loony bithead. Oh the crazy guy saying I was chasing him down. Yeah I got him. Next time, you gotta tell me what kinda slang you're using. Never heard all those words before. At least, not used in the way you are-oh shock he got away. Oh did I use that word right by the way? S-sorry I'll focus."His last comment was in response to the man that was webbed up from the beginning by both heroes having torn through the webbing. It turns out Miles was right and the man indeed was a threat, and he was sprinting straight towards the stairs. Spider-Man would fire webbing to try and trip him up once again, but the man would quickly respond by formulating a blood blade that fully covers his arm. He'd then cut the line, before using his other arm to punch towards Miles. At that moment, that other arm that was being punched forward would summon a large swath of red tentacles towards Miles. If it hit, the young hero would feel quite the blow that would have knocked him straight out the building. Thankfully, the new Spider-Man would dodge forward, rolling under the large amount of tentacles that had smashed through the window that he was previously perched on. "HOLY SHIT! YEAH, I think these things are starting to also remind me of someone I really wanted to forget...Miles would then fire webbing at the desks behind the man with the new red appendages, with the hero pulling hard in the hopes to slam that furniture straight into its back. However, the creature simply tanked the blow, not flinching as the desk shattered directly behind him. "This is gonna be a long night..."It would seem Miles would have to deal with the man in front of him, while Miguel deals with the five mangled corpses from behind. Let us hope the Spider-Men of both eras survive their encounters, or else, this building and perhaps all of New York was to be doomed.

For a moment Miguel almost forgot that his futuristic slang might be lost on people in the present day. In his day job, he worked to avoid using words and phrases native to 2099. Not only did it save him from having to give explanations to confused co-workers, but it also meant that if any of the other transplants from the future were around, they wouldn't be wise to his identity. Considering everything kept coming back to Alchemax, he couldn't be sure that someone he was working with was not among those who were actively attempting to alter the future by changing the past. Still, the young man before him was able to understand despite his slipping. Upon seeing the mass of tendrils smash through in an attempt to grab Miles, he couldn't help but be reminded once more of Kron and the pitched battles he'd had with him while the lunatic was bonded to the crazed Venom symbiote. Get it together O'Hara! Can't stroll down memory lane now. You've got to find a way to stop whatever this madness is! he thought. While it was true he didn't need the distraction, he also tried to actively avoid thinking about that incident whenever possible. Thoughts of Kron led to thoughts of Dana and what had happened to her as a result of that nightmare from beyond the stars. Not that Kron was a prize of a human being without the symbiote. Already a psychotic killer responsible for the transformation of Jake Gallows from Public Eye Officer to the Punisher of the future, he was a mad dog that should have been put down well before encountering the alien. Then to find out that he was his half-brother and that their father was Tyler Stone, leader of Alchemax and the man responsible for his becoming Spider-Man in the first place? It was enough to drive anyone to surrender. Add to that you don't even know if that future, your home, exists anymore and it all adds up to a recipe for getting killed because you are preoccupied with guilt. And that's Parker's thing, not yours! he thought. Snagging a computer monitor with a webline and throwing it at one of the "things" lashing out, he hoped the kid knew what he was doing. He'd been right about man Miguel wanted answers from. If he lived long enough, he may just have to give the youngster an apology for almost coming to blows with him over it. Sure would be nice to have that precognitive thing Parker and he seem to have going on. Might cut down on some of the guess work I have to do."You've seen something like this before?" he asked, talons slicing bits of tendrils as they reached for him. Webbing up some of the shattered glass he swung it over his head a few times and sent it and the shards flying towards the shambling corpses, hoping that maybe they'd slow just a smidge, but it was no good. The injuries only revealed more of the fibrous tissue. "You can say that again," Miguel said. That is unless we can't find a way to stop these things. Then it may be a much shorter night that we are expecting!

The new Spider-Man would hear the question as he rolled forward, using his bio-electricity to accelerate rapidly at creature that had launched the large tendril attack towards him earlier today. With his hands boosting him forward off the ground with a stream of electric power, the sudden boost in speed added an extra oomph to the kick Miles would deliver to the creature's chest, as it was slightly distracted from the desk that had shattered on its back a moment prior. The kick would send the man/creature flying, crashing through a wall in the process as it felt the shock from the electricity that had temporarily conducted through Morales' body. But it would quickly stop it's momentum with a large batch of tentacles sprouting from all around it to attach to the walls and glass to his sides. "Yeah, it reminds me of this guy, literal red headed step child of the devil. Had red tentacles for days from that alien suit he was wearing. He killed so many people at Midtown. I still kinda get nightmares from it. And this thing, it has red tentacles too. I'm starting to think the rumors were true and Carnage is ba-WHOOOA!"The creature would use the tentacles to catapult back towards the teen, using it's right arm to form into a large red blade. The teen would lean back as far as people to barely dodge the blade, but the creature would once again use its tentacles to grab the hero as he barely dodged the attack. The tentacles would rapidly wrap around Miles, with monster spinning around to have the tentacles throw the young hero right at the Spider-Man of the year 2099. If Miguel didn't get out of the way, he'd find his back get slammed into by the New Friendly Neighborhood Spidey.

Miguel stayed true to his word, doing all he could to prevent the reanimated Alchemax employees from pursuing Miles. Under ordinary circumstances, he'd have been pulling punched and holding back. Being even stronger than the original Spider-Man he'd made a habit out of not going all in on enemies in an attempt to avoid unnecessary death. Since these poor souls were already no longer amongst the living, he took his own advice and stopped holding back. Leaping he delivered a powerful kick to the chin of one of the reanimated, the head snapping backwards with enough force to break the neck. It only managed to stun it for a moment, the head readjusting from an almost impossible angle to its normal position with a sickening pop-crack sound. Oh for shock's sake! That kick should have taken the head right off! he thought. Performing a bicycle kick to slow down one of the undead that had tried to get behind him and simultaneously firing off webbing meant to pull the feet right out from under another enemy, he tried to think about what could possibly stop the creatures. The kid mentioned Carnage. That's the second time in as many days that someone has brought that freak up. Never had the displeasure of meeting it, but Gwen and that T.O.T.E.M. agent were convinced that he was somehow involved in all the insanity that wrecked 2099. But when we followed up the leads, all we ran into was the Hobgoblins who were somehow getting futuristic weapons, he thought. From what little I read about this guy he wasn't or isn't much of a planner and raising the dead was outside his wheelhouse.Sliding over a desk he grabbed a letter opener and jabbed it into the eye of the enemy he'd just webbed up, hoping to distract it from clawing at the entangled legs. Gracefully sidestepping another aiming a punch at him, he seized it by the back of the neck prepared to launch it out the shattered window...only for blinding pain to flash through him as the young spider hero collided with his back. For the second time that night, Miguel found himself envious of Parker's spider-sense. Trying to regain his feet and grunting through pain he turned to check on Miles. "Hey kid, are you alright?" he asked. The man he'd been chasing, the one Miguel wanted answers from and who appeared to be the only victim left alive, stopped running as he turned towards the heroes, tendrils sliding back into his form. "That's how I like my meals. Tenderized," the man said. Standing, Miguel shook his head. "Just who the shock are you supposed to be?" The man smiled showing abnormally long, dark teeth, the grin seemingly stretching around the back of his head. "Oh that's right, you don't know. It was a different you I met, a different you that tried to kill me. I wonder if your altered blood has the same sweet taste his did? I mean I came back here for many reasons. Finding another annoyance from my time and making sure he doesn't live long enough to be a problem, taking full advantage of this screwed up era to drink vintage, and maybe get in touch with my history. But getting another chance at you and without your little pals to help out? That's just icing on the blood cake,' he replied.
As the dead gathered around him the man began laughing. "It's payback time Spider-Man. Different era, same old me. I don't usually introduce myself to my drinks, but what the hell, the morons of the Twencen love to hear themselves talk, so when in Rome..." Red and black goo erupted from his eyes, mouth, and ears. Long lines of writhing tissue wrapped around the man until in his place stood a creature straight out of nightmares, the bladed tail slashing playfully across the ceiling. "I AM CARNAGE! You've already met the newest members of my Hive. And you two? You are just appetizers on my way to the main course!"

The young Spider-Man gets thrown hard and fast towards the future web-slinger, slamming off his body and through the wall that was formerly behind the walking corpses that Miguel was fighting against earlier. The momentum of his body would slow down tremendously after crashing through said wall, slowly tumbling through an extra desk for good measure. "Aaaaaaaagggh, y-yeah I think I-I'm good. OOoooooowwww..." Miles would say in respond to Miguel's question. The monster threw him hard and fast, the hero would try his hardest to get up while Miguel faced off against this other Carnage. Though Morales would barely pick up on all of the speech the beast had stated, needing to ask some questions in the process. "Uhhh, I think I got a concussion so I missed most of that, but he said you met him before? Guess you and I are in the Carnage club then. Sorry to have you join in. Was that who you were talking about earlier?"Miles didn't realize that "this" Miguel hasn't met "this" Carnage. In fact, Miles himself hasn't even met "this" version of Carnage yet, but the teen will realize that sooner. But for now, he had other worries to deal with. Like the 3 corpses that had risen up behind Miguel to try and jump the teenager. With Spider-Man struggling to get back on his feet, he'd barely duck under the nearby corpse's punch, responding back with a left hand powered by his bioelectricity. The "patented" Venom Blast, would send the creature flying with a powerful electrified punch, sending him flying backwards into another corpse. Both creatures would fly backwards, lying beside their "Master". The corpses would even seem to stay dead surprisingly though, as the red goo that had brought them back to life in the first place had suddenly separated from their bodies, remerging with the future Carnage himself. However, Miles wouldn't notice this as he had another walking corpse to fight, aiming to swipe out him with a large arm-sized red blade. Morales though would spin forward through his punch, to deliver a roundhouse kick with his right leg, leaving his heel to land directly on the jaw of the creature. Normally, it would send the monster flying or even knock it out. But of course, it wasn't a normal being, and Miles wasn't as strong as Peter and definitely not as strong as Miguel. Plus, he was still unintentionally holding back, a symptom of the training he undertook when temporarily under the tutelage of Peter Parker. The beast would easily shrug it off and pounce on the slightly stunned hero, nearly pinning him down. It would form sharp teeth in it's mouth to try and bite on the face of the new Spider-Man, though Miles would narrowly dodge the attack by quickly moving his head to the right. "OH SHOOT! OK, MAYBE I'M NOT AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT! YOU BUSY AT THE MOMENT!?"The hero would need a little bit of time to get his bearings together as his back was to the ground. He might be able to get this creature off him on his own, but it could be helpful to have the 2099 Spider-Man aid him here. That is, if this Spider-Man didn't need help himself to fight off the Carnage of the future that was staring him down.
