Hello everyone.
I may be something of a new face here but I decided I'd get stuck right in and at the risk of being a tad over eager I have whipped up some Thunderbolt plots/ plans that I'd be keen for you all to have a look at / volunteer for if you think it would be appropriate.
Plan 1)
Either appealing to professor X’s pro registration leanings (as it has been suggested to me he has) or pressuring him the Thunderbolts attempt to persuade him to use cerebro to locate various mutants around the globe, specifically those that are isolated or vulnerable. Then Thunderbolt teams can pick off mutants when they are alone, forcing them to register, join up or otherwise be dealt with. I’ve already popped Cain a brief message about this to see if it is something that would work.
Plan 2)
Using actors or, more likely, prisoners offered this deal for the promise of early release, routine crimes are staged. Things such as bank robberies, breaking and entering into museums and so on. The sorts of crimes that may attract one or two heroes but not entire teams. Of course it’s an ambush and the Thunderbolts can proceed to mob whoever shows up so long as they are unregistered. If not, well they hang back and let the heroes resolve the crime. This has the added bonus of unregistered heroes potentially becoming too cautious to be effective as they may see even legitimate crimes as ambushes waiting to happen once the pattern gets spotted.
Plan3)
This one is more of a slow burn plans but it involves lots of potential character action and development. In essence that plans means getting undeclared Thunderbolts inside the anti-registration ranks. This will mean approaching undecided heroes in the main, persuading them of the cause of registration and then sending them into the anti-registration camp as spies. We could make the whole thing seem real by having Thunderbolts attack the spies, prompting ant registration heroes to rescue said spies and establish an instant bond and degree of trust in so doing.
Well, those are the three broad stroke ideas I have at the moment for plots. Does anyone have comments, questions or interest at this time? As interest builds and people start putting their characters forward for certain rolls, either as Thunderbolts, victims or spies, I can turn any of the three above ideas into something more specific. Anyway, thought I would try to get a ball rolling, let me know what you all think.
