DESCRIPTION OF FACILITIES:
Although destroyed twice, the Avengers' Mansion (formerly Stark Manor) has been rebuilt as close to its original design as possible but with greater reinforcement, strength and durability.
It has three above-ground floors and three basement floors.
- FIRST FLOOR: This floor is generally open to visitors and the public eye. This floor also contains the library and kitchen along with other living areas and Jarvis' apartment, with a main dining room that seats fourteen. All decor is on this floor is rich and opulent, done in marble and oak. (2) This floor also contains Stark's "garage."
- SECOND FLOOR: The second floor contains eight bedrooms with private quarters for Stark. This floor's hallways are lined with mementos of the Avengers past adventures. Among the collection is a haunting display of Ultron's heads. This floor is also made up of rich, opulent decor accented with marble and oak. (2)
- THIRD FLOOR: The "Playroom" Here the Avengers train against high-tech simulations to prepare themselves for battle against their enemies.
- ROOFTOP: On the roof is a hangar for five (5) Quin Jets. This is very much like an aircraft carrier in function. Much effort has been placed into this to make the noise less of an issue for their neighbors. (2)
- SUB-LEVEL ONE: This is the main Assembly Room. This room is "ultra-secure" with advanced technological security and reinforced walls lined with conductive metals (think "faraday cage") to protect from outside influence. (2) This sub-level also includes such rooms as Hawkeye's test shooting room and the Avenger's gym. (1)
- SUB-LEVEL TWO: The lowest two levels of sub-basement are dedicated to Stark and Pym's work areas. Here the air ducts are engineered to keep the lower levels entirely dust and particle free (2). Stark's lab is here on Sub-Level 2, as is his "Arsenal" chamber. (1)
- SUB-LEVEL THREE: This level contains Hank Pym's laboratory (2) as well as a cryogenic storage area and a vault to contain Jack of Hearts's power. (1)
THE GROUNDS: The Mansion is surrounded by a wall twelve feet high and one foot thick. It has a vast array of high-tech security defenses. A main feature of the defenses are large, restrictive coils. These are sometimes backed up by energy beams that shoot out from the ground. The Mansion is thirty-five feet away from the street. Since Tony Stark has been co-director of SHIELD, the mansion's security systems are backed up by government forces. The mansion's grounds used to feature an array of statues of past and present Avengers, constructed out of adamantium. The statues were destroyed in a previous battle. (1) There is also a pool on the grounds.
