Yellowjacket (Hank Pym) 🐝 She mentioned that Mister Fantastic didn't publish his findings. "Well, yeah of course he doesn't. I talked about why already. There's only a handful of people on the planet that can grasp what he's doing at any given time, and one of those people is just another version of him but evil." At a certain rarified level, even other geniuses may as well be laity.
She compared him to Stark.
"Was is the key there. Stark's no more still a weapons dealer than I am still a grad student. His weapons were dangerous. My mistakes are omnicidal."
"Machines don't do nuance. They go through logical conclusions that would not occur to a sane human mind. Even if you think you've figured out the correct wording so that one meant to bring a lasting peace doesn't do so by thermonuclear apocalypse, one attempting to solve something like the Invariant subspace problem may well attempt to use every resource on Earth to do so."
Speaking of semantics, he was about to commit a gross violation of its rules. "How do Pym particles work? Very well, I think."
With this, YELLOWJACKET shrunk down and down. He was not subatomic yet, but he was now as small as, well, an ant. He moved across his interrogator's arm. Text adapted from Silv.

Vivian Vision
❖
It was not the most ideal situation to be in, stuck within the net of a sentinel along with the human she meant to rescue. The synthozoid had through a combination of programming and the specific frequency of brainwaves used in her creation the mind of a teenager. That included the capacity for embarrassment, for what teenage experience would be complete without it.
So then, this main explain why her robotic mind did not immediately go to any number of ways to get out of their current situation beyond wait and see.
It could also just be a matter of her processing going toward other concerns. She was damaged enough at the moment that efficient mental processing may not be possible.
The human asked if she could contact the fire department. That did give her the spark of an idea.
I WILL ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THE CHAMPIONS.
She did not entertain at the moment objections from her companion about bringing even more superheroes to the area.
<<I AM IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE. SENDING COORDINATES. MEDIUM PRIORITY.>>
She addressed her companion.
UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, IT WOULD BE A LOW PRIORITY CALL, BUT IN MY CONDITION I DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH HELP I COULD BE AGAINST ANOTHER ATTACK.

J. Jonah Jameson, Jr. 📰 It was the same words with different letters. He always had people come with with threats and attempts at outblustering him. There would be one tomorrow and next week and the week after that, because nobody understood one simple fact: J. Jonah Jameson. Jr. could not be bought. He could not be pushed around. If he could, what would be the 4th Estate?
There was another call from his assistant. It was the busy life of an editor. There was a police officer here.
"Is this about the yellow suited idiot or the pink suited idiot? Also, who was it that contacted law enforcement? I ought to give them, well, probably not a raise but at least an attaboy. That should be enough for anyone really, you've done your duty and brought on someone who can handle it, you want more, go get the proper paperwork and training so you can capture the criminal yourself."

The Beast (Hank McCoy)
The Beast was true to his name. His size had always been formidable even before his secondary blue-furred mutation brought on by his ill-fated experiment. His overly large hands and feet were what gave him his eventually nom de guerre, then applied on the gridiron.
He could almost fit the little red bamfs in his palm. This aided him in his strike about as much as the fact that he was familiar with the fighting style of the homunculi's azure doppelgänger.
He was not going to toss the creature hither and yon. There was too much in the lab that could be broken. So, he fought conservatively, a punch here, a backhand there, a knee across that, timed between teleports. Even with his skill, a few hits missed, but it was a numbers game.
Aid came from one of the first X-men. It wasn't long after their formation that the little boys' club, himself, Cyclops, Iceman, and Angel was opened up by Marvel Girl, who eventually went by her given name, Jean Grey. She grew as they all did, but she became one of the most powerful among them.
She, as many in this strange heroes' world had done, had died and been brought back to life. This most recent event was at the hands of Apocalypse and his Horsemen.
"Jean, I had heard that you had cheated Binky's rider, but now I cannot doubt it." OH MY STARS AND GARTERS!Template adapted from Silv.

wolfsbane (rahne sinclair)
Her senses were in overdrive in her wolf form. There was the unmistakable and always unpleasant stench of death, but she could place its source without some searching. There. Against the skip, was a man in a blood-stained business suit. His throat was mangled and torn apart. ~Well, that explains the smell.~, she thought to herself. This place was far too urban for it to be most types of wildlife. It must be man, or at least a monster passing himself off as one. Rahne put her nose to the floor to try and find some clues. They came, but not from scent. Suddenly she heard tires screech. She moved to investigate. Someone fell into the back of a car and was driving off. Maybe it was a robbery gone wrong? A disposed of witness? Wolfsbane gave chase. She certainly couldn't tail it at highway speeds, but she was still far faster than a human would be in her wolf form. She snarled. OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE "Try? Try? Trying is for idiots! Make it happen! Why would I pay someone to try? I'm not running a charity! This is a place of business and—"Peter had left a rant and a half ago. Jonah was still accompanied by an audience, not that his current audience hadn't heard every word repeated over and over again over the years.
Jonah shrugged his mild form of blackmail off with a wave and a bah. "Tell them. Tell everyone. Scream it from the mountaintop. It's not some sentimentality, he did good work. His photos came in on time! I miss that productivity. You'd think these kids today on the TikTok all the time would know how to frame a decent shot!"
Sure, Jonah, it was all a business decision. Never mind that when Peter actually worked fulltime for the paper, he routinely negatively compared his work to that of the previous generation of photographers.Template adapted from Silv.

Argent Arcanist (Leyla Demir)
☽🜛☾ "Even if a thing is know, it still can, and often should be held in secret. It's not an infrequent occurrence to have clients request to be called by their surnames. Even if I know their first name, verbal masks can be a comforting thing to wear until one feels able to remove them."This was true of both of them. Leyla was not going to reveal her own nature, that she herself was a superhero to Finesse. It was not the time. It was not the place. The adjective unplanned was a telling distinction. There was a difference between rushing into a burning building and actively moonlighting. "It is not uncommon to feel good when we do good. Altruism has a social as well as a personal benefit.""Let's talk about this friend. You say that they have little in common with your peers. So, what it is then that connects the two of you and separates you from the others? What do you share?" Weary with toil, I haste me to my bed The dear repose for limbs with travel tired; But then begins a journey in my head To work my mind, when body’s work’s expir’d - Shakespeare Sonnet 27Template adapted from Silv.

Yes to the unethical government experiments angle. It's a thing more street-level heroes can tackle with black ops mercs/spy craft and stuff like that. The second literal Civil War is a bit of a bridge too far though. Protests sure. More government oriented heroes being distrusted/having a crisis of faith, sure.

OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE "You don't get how this works do you? Even now, you don't get how this works. Coming in like this to what? Protect some masked fool who's too much of a coward to show their face? That's not how you do it because you have shown exactly what you, and by extension, they stand for. It's why I don't hire people I'm not absolutely sure have integrity." A short look at some of the folks he'd hired to get to Spider-Man over the years poked a small hole or five in that statement, but he continued.
"You do not get to speak my wife's name.", he said curtly.
"I've been through this a thousand times with people like you. This same line of argument. I have no grudge against Spider-Man. He's a menace on his own. He's a menace because there is absolutely no accountability for him, except through me. Why? I'll tell you. Because I show the world what he is. Let's pretend for a moment Spider-Man wasn't a low-life criminal. What could this so-called hero do to alleviate every ounce of animus I have toward unaccountable masked vigilantes? Register. Not difficult. Dozens of men and women, aliens and robots are registered. The government knows who they are and where they are, so if one of them, I don't know, throws a vehicle into a building during a fight, they can be held to account. It's why cops have internal affairs and why when even that doesn't work, there are mechanisms to clean up their departments. So, I will say again. I have a paper to run."Template adapted from Silv.

They called it enrichment. She called it stupid. This was a punishment. There was no way that this was not a punishment.
Penny could kind of see the point of a place like this years and years ago but now? She could see every single thing on her phone. It'd save a trip. There were so many better things to do in New York.
She wore a black hoodie , pulled over her head, of course. It had Xavier's symbol over most of the front. Her skirt was the only pop of color in an otherwise dark outfit. It took the appearance of a half dozen or so plaid patterns of different colors sewn together in vertical strips. Below this were black leggings and black boots.
It was then that she decided to see the sights. Slip out from here, move past there and she would be out and about in the city in no time.

HAIL HYDRA The march of tyranny was as unending as it was unyielding. Freedom and democracy were, given the long view, a fad. Man's nature was division — man and woman, human and beast, rule and ruled. As the weak were raised up in the falsest of equity, they, a parasite, sapped the strength of the very body politic as they drain its resources. Eventually, this becomes untenable. Inevitably, this lie of freedom, of equity, of harmony, is crushed. As he approached the laboratories, guards escorted him to a door. There were scans of biodata. There were disruptive pulses to try and interrupt a shapeshifter's infiltration. There were scans in non-visible spectrums to detect an unauthorized stowaway. The utmost secrecy was necessary. It was a plan that could be thwarted by any number of superhuman abilities and each one must be factored in. He needn't only contend with the brute strength and little shield of Captain America. He had allies even after the Allies. His scientists performed experiments as he moved past them. Some saluted. Red Skull did not respond. The Red Skull peered into a chamber, isolated from what came before it. Inside was a teenager in suspended animation, an artificial amniotic fluid surrounded them. Oxygen was supplied by a tube to the nose. The Red Skull clasped his left arm with his right hand behind his back. "Show me the footage.", he said curtly. An underling pulled up a view screen. Subject 17. Test 42-B. A battle between low level soldiers and the subject. The Red Skull did not visibly react throughout the footage. "That ruthlessness will need to be culled temporarily. Nothing will elicit their suspicion more.""Of course, sir."His gray-gloved hand touched the chamber as the subject floated. "And you. You will be there in case Rogers finds his way home. The world he's in is his nightmare. I will be sure any world he returns to will be the same. You will turn any rampart of democracy into dust."
"Wherever there was injustice, tyranny, ruthlessness, the RED SKULL was there leading the attack on the weak and helpless!"

Bumping due to time gap. Zania, you can post whenever and we'll go back to normal cycle. THE BLOB IN
Dinomania!
"South Pole is Savage Land. Good. A normal place."
"Alright, kids. This is like any jungle anywhere on Earth. Buncha poison plants and deadly snakes. Lotta giant bugs. It's also got dinosaurs, mammoths and stuff like that. If you see a Tarzan-lookin' guy with a sabretooth cat, he's friendly and speaks English. If you see a green pterodactyl-man, he also speaks English, but is an unfriendly soul-sucking vampire. There's also are usually Doctor Minnow guys here." The name drop was evidently entirely inadvertent as he continued, "so pig-men, giraffe-women, stuff like that."
He stepped through the gateway.
He started to trek through the thick jungle greenery, pushing back vines with his massive bulk. "Probably whatever's making that portal has to do with a supervillain, so be careful. Lotta supervillains like to hide out here cause it's a pain in the-" he remembered his very young company, "butt to come down here and clear 'em out. Plus a lot of 'em like to enslave the natives, like the pterodcatyl-man, Sauron, not that one, the bird one. Mind controls them to do his bidding. Usta be my teammate." ""

WOLFSBANE in MIDNIGHT CITY form: WERE . . . Rahne was far from home. This was as true here as it was anywhere else. She was, in this moment, left out in the cold. This was both literally true, the frigid North brought a familiar cold. This was also true from her lack of grounding. X-Factor had fallen apart. She drifted in and out of Xavier's recently. She needed something else. She needed something new. So, she had gone, at least temporarily north. She'd been to Canada before, on some clandestine government work, but it had been at best a brief stay, nothing longer than a few hours. At this point, she had time and inclination to get to know the place. She found her way around it with both sight and with smell as she moved around at ground level among the towering buildings. The purpose was to find paths around. She usually found this or that interesting scent. What she found instead was horrid. It was pungent. It was the unmistakable odor of death and decay. She tried to pinpoint the source. Not that she wanted to be subjected to it more. Even with the wind assisting her, it as hard to pinpoint. She needed a better nose. The human-wolf hybrid's bones and body twisted and turned and reformed until the woman was now a russet red wolf.Adapted from Silv.

OFFICE OF J. JONAH JAMESON, JR. PUBLISHER, THE DAILY BUGLE "WHAT KIND OF A BLASTED FOOL DO YOU TAKE ME FOR?""These sort of theatrics might work in the sticks, kid, but this is NEW YORK! Do you really think this second, no fifth! FIFTH-RATE Mysterio nonsense is going to scare me? He was doing this sort of pseudo magic since before you were born!"The intruder with all the theatrics insisted on emphasizing her name."You. Will. Call. Me. MISTER JAMESON!" "Listen to me, there is no business to discuss. You aren't the first person to come in here like a coward and demand anything of me, and you certainly won't be the last, and I am going to tell you exactly what I have told Spider-Man, Doc Ock, Carnage, Jack-O-Lantern, and dozens of others with more impressive showmanship than yours, I do not budge. I do not bend."
"You think I give a damn about money? Kingpin has enough to buy the city ten times over and his cronies have never been able to bribe me with one red cent. Do you know why, you thick-headed menace?"
"I have standards. I know that may be something hard for someone like you to comprehend, but there are lines. There are non-negotiables. I am not going to cowtow to anyone, especially someone who threatens me in my own office. In fact, lady, if anything, I'm more inclined to tell you where you can put your money because that's how the 4th ESTATE WORKS!"
"I am John Jonah Jameson, Jr. dammit! I speak truth to the powerful. I don't care what you are. I don't care how you threaten. Nothing will change. You won't get what you want.
SO GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!
I HAVE A PAPER TO RUN!"
